Todd is being honest, he isn't lyning about what he did. Who wouldn't want to get revenge on the woman that tried to kill not only him but his family too, yeah I know Margaret was crazy, but would that make a difference if she really had killed Starr, Jack or Blair, Todd needs to fire his lawyer, he needs to hire a bull dob, this is one is too darn passive for me.

Hmm Timberland and Keri Hilson...that's something.

Bo, RJ, Lindsay, and Nora all in one episode. I felt like I was watching the OLTL of the late 90s(though not entirely good, but I loved and adored the characters).

Todd's testimony was good. I for once enjoyed TSJ and understood what Todd was feeling...for once.

Why hasn't Carlivati packed a punch with this show yet? I've been waiting since 1997! 9/19/07 ep was mildly entertaining. Something is just off- Not even R.J. (rarely on during Higley's tenure), the mentioning of Rachel Ganno, and Will (Haven't seen him since 2002) could get me to watch the entire ep.

The scenes with the Cramer "women" were a bit ridiculous. Robin Strasser deserves far better than this crap, as does Ilene Kristen. Can't wait for Adriannna be hijack outta Llanview. I now know why Higley made Starr & Cole have sexual intercourse back in March 2007: To make the audience see them as "adults" so she could give them adult-like stories. Let me tell you someting, Higley, Valentini & Frons: Starr & the actress sho portrays her is NOT a woman. She is a teenager. Stop treating her like a woman.

Michael Easton & John McBain suck the life right out of the show. Chambers better quit before she's dragged down with him. Why did Easton resign last year?

Anyone notice Bo stratched his butt when the camera was on him? How embarassing. Is unrealistic for Matthew -a 10 yr old- to be travelling by himself (Nora's office, Bo's office). Who takes care of Jack Manning? Blair sure doesn't.

Why does everything has to have a Llan in it? LLANview, LLANtano Mountain, LLANtano Lake...

I don't like the direction Carlivati is taking a lot of these characters in. If he maintains the status quo, he's going to earn a failing grade. You think any other show will hire Carlivati? B&B might. If you didn't read the credits, one would think Higley were still being credited as the HW. The question begs to be asked: Is Higley really gone?

OLTL is a show in trouble with Frons, the Master King Mighty Ruler, running things.

    • I very much liked office Cleary and the actress who portrayed her (as you say, Mary Peterson).  A shame her turn didn't evolve into a contract role.   BTW, does anyone know the timeframe/years that Betty Rae served as casting director?  If i understand correctly, she not only led the effort for contract roles, but also for shorter 13- and 26-week roles.  IMO, GL had LOTS of very well-casted, limited roles, too. I'm surprised the actors throughout the soap industry, and especially P&G actors, have not assembled a book or something similar, praising Rae.  Each actor could write a few paragraphs or a page of text describing his or her experience.
    • No. Ruth had an extramarital affair with David while married to Joe.
    • I'm not sure I agree with Bernstein's children on that. Bernstein's life and activism here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonard_Bernstein#Social_activism_and_humanitarian_efforts
    • Thursday & Friday's episodes were excellent. The build-up was most definitely worth the wait (2 months). TMG, I can't give her enough accolades. AM, was also absolutely incredible. I think the fallout is going to have a ripple effect. The little clues that have been dropped,  hopefully, will weave seamlessly to reveal even bigger bombshells for the Dupree's and Martin.
    • Thanks, msn drives me nuts on the one hand but on the other hand their headlines appeal to me. And, I just don't do FoxNews.
    • The link doesn't work.  The actual link is this: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/composer-leonard-bernstein-s-children-request-his-music-be-played-in-the-kennedy-center-in-rebuke-to-trump/ar-AA1E7gw5 That's a reprint of a FoxNews article. MSN reprints stuff from many sources. You can tell the source from the logo above the headline on the msn page. The FoxNews article is describing what Leonard Bernstein's children wrote -- as a "letter to the editor" of the New York Times. Instead of reading it filtered through FoxNews, here is the original: "Our Dad, Leonard Bernstein, Would Want His Music Played at the Kennedy Center" https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/02/opinion/kennedy-center-leonard-bernstein-protest.html Non-paywall archived copy of the same NYTimes letter, without commentary: https://archive.is/QaLqD
    • Might be a long shot, because I can't find a thing online about it, but I was Googling the actress that played Nell Cleary (Frank's cop friend that went through academy and then became cops together during the entire Brent Lawrence storyline). To my surprise, she passed away in 2011, at the very young age of 45. I can't find her obituary or anything online about her passing, but I'm curious, does anyone know what happened? Her IMDB only shows a few other acting gigs post-Guiding Light, so she didn't make a career out of it, but I thought she was a great actress in her role as Cleary. Her name was Mary Peterson.
    • What was Ruth Martin's association to the Thornton family?  I only remember the daughter that dated Tad, and she had a buxom mother.  But, did Ruth date David Thorton before Joe?

Why didn't Steve respect Monica and Jeff's decision?  I get he's Jeff's father, and that's how it came out, but I don't like the ethics of the story. A stranger gets to make life or death decisions over a wife's demands?   I hope Monica secretly never forgave Steve's chauvinism.
    • Question: Jon-Michael Reed's review of 1977 is up in the retro soap section.  It includes a fleeting reference to comedic scenes between Jeanne Cooper and Julianna McCarthy regarding “Kay's would-be beau, Ralph the Plumber”.  Could someone please fill me in will more details? I forgot that Kay and Liz were friendly before Jill stole Kay's husband.  And the thought of Liz playing a comedic scene blows my mind, because I only recall her being dour both in demeanor and wardrobe.
