This has got me thinking (sorry if this has already been mentioned somewhere). But what if Sony gets really desperate and needs to cut costs for Y&R and DAYS so much that they decided to merge the shows? Really just a passing fun thought, but in reality I think it would be a good idea. If DAYS' ratings continue to go til 2009, move some of the characters over to Genoa City and keep the strongest characters of both shows in Y&R. Just a thought, but I actually wouldnt mind this at all.

I don't think CBS would go for that. And hell neither would I for that matter. I can barely watch both shows seperatly. Put them together and I couldn't watch it at all.

Well, both CBS and NBC went for it in the 60's, when Agnes Nixon crossed over two GL characters into AW (both P&G owned shows). They then went for it again in 1999, when Jake from AW crossed over to ATWT.

Should Days get canceled, it would be a nice gesture just to have one Days character pop up on Y&R, though I wouldn't want that character to take over the whole damn show (ala AMBER).

Tom Hallick was an original cast member onY&R(he was in the first scene) playing Brad Elliot.

In the 80's on DOOL he was villianous Maxwell Hathaway,whose daughter Mrgan was revealed to acually be Stefano's child.

Max was killed off but I think the original intention was for him to be the next Stefano like character.

Unfortunately,the decision was made to revisit the DiMeras-one of the moves that have ultimately brought the show down.

I would personally love to see that happen.

I've always said that I'd like to see Diedre Hall back at Y&R as Barbara. She's an original cast member and while she may not be connected to any current characters, it can't be more difficult than a completely new character. She could maybe be sexed up and become a love interest for Victor, Jack, Paul, etc.

I'm not a fan of hers, but I'd like to see what she could do in a new environment. If any of her fans are reading this, they might wanna suggest it on her official website. That way if DAYS fires her, she won't be completely screwed over.

Hall is too identified as Marlena Evans, it would be hard for the general audience to accept her as anyone else. It would like Jeanne Cooper leaving Y&R and going over to another soap, in some weird way, she is Y&R, you can't think of her without thinking of Y&R.

Personally, I think Kate Roberts would be the ideal Days character to cross over to Y&R, should Days get canceled and not picked up by another network. Even though Lauren Koslow previously played Lindsey Wells on Y&R in the 80's, I think Kate would fit right in on Y&R. I can see her as Nikki's rival and possibly a new ho for Victor to sleep with. LOL!
