DAYS: Edward James Scott is starting on August 29 2007

But my question would be, wouldn't flowers and camera angles be more of a director's job, not so much a producer?

It can be both. Ed is handling the day to day operations and SN's blog pictures already show Ed on set giving direction and instructing. He could also give the director advice. Ed was a EP at Y&R and flowers and camera angles became his thing so seeing them show up on Days yesterday after never seeing them before on the show is a sign to me he is at least influencing the show at the moment.

I don't really remember the flower pot thing. I wasn't paying much attention to a lot of Friday's episode, not that much to notice little things like that. I'll be looking much better this week.

Well, that may be why you didn't see what I did? Watching the whole thing twice it was pretty evident. Monday sounds like it may be more noticeable yet.

The lighting seemed slightly different on Friday, too.

YES !! I didn't THINK I was crazy. I kept thinking to myself, "Oh, there's the horrible, yellow, orange lighting that I ha--wait, that's not it. It's different." I was struggling to find the trademark cheap Days lighting that has plagued the show since like 1997. Especially in the hospital scenes, it looked richer and darker.

People -- official starts don't mean that the person hasn't done ANYTHING prior. That's the way the business goes, LOL.

Thanks Keith. That is exactly what I was trying to say. Just because his first credited episode isn't until Wednesday doesn't mean he hasn't decided to fix some things beforehand. It happens all the time, especially with writers.

Okay. We get it. Ed Scott's influence can be seen on the show prior to his first offical day on the set. Damn! Stop beating a dead horse.

OMG Thank you for saying this.

Drew, if you have a problem with someone, then maybe you need to handle it privately. Instead of making little subtle remarks and trying to get stuff started out in the open.

I don't know what you're talking about. I wasn't trying to get anything started.

I'm just posting like everyone else. :)

Are you sure his first credited episode is the 29th?

That is my understanding, also. A few weeks ago, someone who has direct communication with Stephen Nichols gave that date over at www.steveandkayla.com.
