So I haven't watched GL since the awesome 70th episode--I appreciate the show but just can't add it to my schedule but I caught some of today and I just have a random complaint. Does anyone like the letterboxed opening? I do NOT get it. It looks dumb (it's not even one of the two regular letterbox apertures! it's faked) and it;s a waste of time and money IMHO

No, you're not the only one. I hope to God they change back to pre-70th anniversary opening once 2008 rolls around the corner.

I agree, I hate this opening worse then the 2003-2005 opening. And that's saying a lot!

I don't get the letterbox format of the first act either. I've never understood what it is supposed to accomplish.

If it was true HDTV letterboxing (and for the full episode) i'd welcome it. Instead it's a waste IMHO and almsot laughable as it serves NO purpose

I hate the current opening too. It's so cheap looking. At least with the 2003-05 opening, I thought the music was decent.

I think about everyone hates GL hairy-arm and dull music opening, IMO.

I hate the opening credits, and I was not a big fan of the last one too. They need a redesign. I loved the version where Harley danced at the end with the lighthouse, it was so memorable.
