My guess is the reason Jamie won't be recast is because their going to hook Babe up with Annie brother. If so they better get a actress and actor who worked together before or were talking to newbies having a romance with eachother. I would be shocked if they pick cheap newbies. I see them moving Babe away from the drama and have move back into what Babe was when she first came to town. Alexa is good but she has NEVER repeated the work she did back in 2004-2005. Working with Eden Riegel really upped her game. Speaking of Bianca that's a character who needs to be recasted and given a new image.

I agree that 2004/2005 were her best years on AMC. She really steped up to the plate when 2004 hit and she along with Jacob and Eden drove a year long storyline. But even Alexa on a bad day IMO outshines Erin at some of her best moments on PC.

Also unlike Eden Riegel Alexa has the right look and will totally get a primetime gig. I'm betting that Justin will get a primetime gig as well.

Exactly alwaysAMC. I have not been able to stand Babe for most of Babe's run but that said, Alexa Havins is most definitely a very good Emmyworthy actress and I predict big things for her.

That's true. She did have dynamite work with Kate Collins.

BTW Alexa was nominated for her work in 2004. But I do agree that she has been an exceptional find for AMC and she's been amazing addition to the show even if some veiwers don't like Babe Alexa has done an exceptional job portraying her. I wish her well in L.A. and I hope she hits it big like Misch Barton, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Josh Duhmel did.

I don't think Erin's overrated, IMO Alexa is. Alexa is not a bad actress, but she doesn't move me, and even with characters I hate, the best of actors/actresses can move me alot.

Lauren Woodland is okay, but just not right for Babe.

If she wasn't agianst Eden Alexa would have won the Emmy in 2005. The scenes were Kendall told Bianca miranda was dead is what out her put her over Alexa. However Alexa had the harder part of the story acting wise because she had to get viewers to understand her side. As where Eden had to show viewers Bianca's pain. Which imo ended up buring her out because she took it home with her.

I'm glad they are recasting Babe; for better or for worse, she has become an important character to the show, and while I think Alexa is a good actress and will

find roles in primetime, I think she is very recastable. The smart thing would be to fold her into the JR and Amanda story initially as we get used to a new Babe, and then go from there.

Lauren Woodland would be more likely.... I think she in fact read for Greenlee when they were casting earlier this year. Lauren is a bit younger and would be better suited for the Babe role.

Erin I think is a good actress.... but I don't see a "wow" factor. Lauren Woodland on the other hand can act quite well... and I think would be more suitable to play Babe.

I really think the role should just leave with Alexa however. Babe's character ran its course years back.... and this bacnkburner business the last few months has worked well and actually made me tolerate the character more. And with rumours of Bobbie Eakes impending exit... one more reason not to keep Babe around. Babe and J.R are obviously dead in the water... Jamie gone...

Just kill Babe off once and for all.... and be done with quite possibly the worst written, and most hated character in All My Children history. I was done with Babe a long time ago... why can't AMC just be done with her as well? I really hope AMC decides against recasting. Be a mistake IMO. Take you're chance when you got it. Since when is Eakes leaving? I can't see Krystal leaving if Colby, Tad and Jenny are supposed to be buying a big home to live together.
