Where Are They Now: Updates on the 17 Contract Actors who left "Days" in 1987:

James Acheson (Jack Deveraux)- stopped acting in 2004 and has since become a movie producer.

Joseph Adams (Jack Deveraux)- continues to act; appeared in an episode of "The Sopranos" earlier this year.

Kristian Alfonso (Hope Brady)- resumed playing Hope full time in 1994.

Robert Clary (Robert LeClair)- retired from acting in 1992; released his autobiography in 2002; he continues to lecture about the Holocaust, in which he was a concentration camp survivor.

Rob Estes (Glenn Gallagher)-recently recurred as Eva LaRue's ex-husband until he was killed off earlier this year on "CSI: Miami."

Deidre Hall (Dr. Marlena Evans Brady)- resumed playing Marlena full time in 1991.

Ken Jezek (Lars Englund)- stopped acting as soon as he left "Days"; now runs a martial arts school in Gilbert, Arizona.

Philip Levien (Dr. Mitch Kauffman)- An English/drama teacher at San Marcos High School in Santa Barbara, California.

Camilla More (Gillian & Grace Forrester)- stopped acting in 1997; now runs two companies: a bedding design company as well as her own movie production company

Carey More (Grace Forrester)- never acted after leaving "Days", now a photographer in California who has released six books of her photos.

Yvette Nipar (Sasha Roberts)- continues to act; will appear in the upcoming film "Walking Tall 3."

Peter Reckell (Bo Brady)- resumed playing Bo full time in 1995.

Quinn Redeker (Alex Marshall)- continues to act; plays a priest in the upcoming film "The Confessional."

Derya Ruggles (Dr. Robin Jacobs)- has not acted since 1995; now lives in Vancouver, Washington and does voiceover work on a radio show.

Josh Taylor (Chris Kositchek)- returned to "Days" as Roman Brady in 1997.

Jane Windsor (Emma Donovan Marshall)- stopped acting in 1988; now a columnist and stay-at-home mom in California.

Robert S. Woods (Paul Stewart)- returned to his role as Bo Buchanan on "One Life to Live" as soon as he left "Days" and continues in that role presently.

Um, 1987... SN and MBE as Steve and Kayla. DDH as RoJohn Brady. JE as Adrienne, CS as Shane, and PP as Kimberly.Maybe BW as Frankie and MBR as Jennifer? How much of the teen secene got shown back then? LOL, that's as much as I can even try to guess that far back.

Matt came on late in the year and I'm guessing the first 2 Jacks didn't get that much airtime. Peter, Kristian & Deidre were written out early in 87 so I doubt any would have cracked the top 10. Though the teens were used in moderation back then, there's an outside chance Reeves or Warlock might be in there.

Hi JCar03. That's something I did not add up. I just checked my master episode list for you and 1987 begins with # 5389. Preemptions on 1/1, 7/3 and 11/26. The last episode in 1987 is # 5646. So that would be 258 episodes in total for 1987. Jason

Thanks for that number, hope it wasn't to much trouble to figure out, I was just curious. It would mean that Mary Beth Evans being the leader in the count appeared in 64% of the episodes that year. Compare that to last years ep count leader Peter Reckell who had 193 (of 253) and a 76%.

No trouble to look it up, Jcar. Just had to recheck my math to make sure I got the correct amount of episodes. My master episode guide file has a complete daily airdate listing from 1965 to the present, so I can easily look up any episode # or airdate and see what it is, as well as all of the preemptions.
