Isaiah Washington fired from 'Grey's'

you don't recast in primetime - especially after 3 seasons. Not in 2007. Recasting is one of the things undoing daytime.

I will miss Burke, but he and his people are going about this the wrong way. A statement thanking them for his time on the show, and comments about his continued personal and professional growth are what is needed. Looking to the future brightly. This is going to kill his chances of another quality show, and it keeps the controversy fresh in the public eye.

About time. He shouldn't of said the things he said, never. He screwed his own self, really. He's a good actor and Burke is an important part of the show but Grey's will move on, so should he.

Shonda Rhimes must be PISSED!

She should be lucky she still has a job there. Talk about bad leadership.

She tanked the entire last half of season 3, even the actors now are talking out against her, the writing, and her lack

of support for TR but tons for IW.

I didn't like the character of Burke to begin with; and a part of me wonders if it was eating him up big time having to get on television to make his public announcement for what he did. When he first ran his mouth, I thought it would die down; but no, he had to say something else; so of course I could see some of the cast not wanting to be around him.

Now, Blair Underwood....Mmmm hmmm...he would make a goood doctor

Isaiah Washington: "I'm Saddened by the Outcome"

TVGuide.com

Isaiah Washington is "saddened by the outcome" of events started last fall that led to him being let go by Grey's Anatomy. Echoing that which his rep told Ausiello last Friday, Washington tells Entertainment Weekly, "I did everything that the producers and the network asked me to do.... I thought that was going to speak for my future at Grey's, but apparently that wasn't the same vision [they] had for me."

Washington doesn't shed light on Grey'screator Shonda Rhimes' personal take on the sitch — "You have to understand that she's at the helm of one of the top-rated scripted shows" — nor does he say where things stand with him and T.R. Knight, instead saying, "You have to ask T.R. that."

As for how this scrape might impact his career, he says, "I have to go about the business of letting people know what's written about me is not the truth.... It's a horrible misunderstanding what transpired with our show, and it was blown out of proportion. If the naysayers out there feel that some justice has been served and they're happy with the outcome, so be it."

That said, he confirms that one network in particular is "very interested" in working with him, though it's probably not Logo.
