Acyually that was Sarah Aldrich who played Vicki in 97 and that wasnt temp. It was long-term its just the show didnt like her and let her go and brought back HT..

Actually the same goes for the connor switch in 97 when they fired ART and brought in Susan Batten, she signed a long-term deal but was fired a few months later due to fan reaction

I don't remember there being any good reason for firing ART. She was sassy. Anyone remember the long-haired blond dude she had an affair with around that time? I was like, 11 then but I remember hE really boiled my potato.

It doesn't seem most people are getting the point of this thread is for TEMP Recasts, actors who come in for another actor who is sick or maternity leave. A lot of ppl are putting down people who were actually just BAD recasts.

I didnt know PSSNS had a temp Tabitha or Jessica.

I thought Gina Marie was a good temp Kay and wish she had stayed ratehr than Deanna

Best Temp Re-cast ----- Robert Montano as Antonio on ONE LIFE. He did a great job and should get the role if Kamar de los Reyes were to leave the show (in some ways he's better). Christine Jones did a good job as Viki back a few years ago when she filled in for Erika Slezak. Jones also did ok as a temp Tracy Quartermaine on GH. Chris Beetem also did good as Nikolas on GH.

Worst Temp Re-cast------ I agree with Soapsuds, that Susan Batten was horrible as ATWT's Connor Walsh. Charity Rahmer was horrible as Belle Black on DAYS as well. Also Ken Kenitzer who filled in as Kevin Buchanan on ONE LIFE a few years ago, was also horrible.

Ken Kenitzer wasn't a temp Kevin recast. He was cast to play Kevin full time, it's just that TPTB realized quickly after he was hired that they made a mistake and they got rid of him fast.

For those who still can watch PASSIONS did they notice that Fancy was temp recast with the actress who played AMY on SUNSET BEACH. I thought that actress had disappeared

and even though shes not temp the new actress playing Marianna on GH should not have been hired. They should have kept the original.

lane davies temporarily played ridge on b&b. i thought that was an interesting choice. physically he is nothing like ronn moss, but he didn't do anything new to the character.

Terrell Anthony replaced Michael E Knight as Tad in 1990 when MEK had some health problem to deal with. A total miscast. I think Anthony was dating Cady McClain at the time. Also bad was the actor whose name escapes me (he played Jim LeMay on GL) as a temp Dimitri recast after Nader was fired.

I remmeber him as Dimitri totally miscast but I think AMC planned top write both Alex and Dimitri out and knew AA would be short-term

Best temp recast was definitely Robert Montano as Antonio on OLTL. Montano was outstanding. He is a very good actor. It is too bad that he hasn't gotten another role on OLTL or another soap.

Yeah, after Nader was fired, they decided to wrap up the character with the recast, who looked young enough to be Nader's son.

I liked Nicole Tarantini (?sp) who played Mac for a while when AshBash was sick on Y&R in 2001. they should have brought her back instead of later recasting the role with kelly kruger. lol
