Great show today, everything but Cleo was great, even though I did almost burst out laughing when she had her fantasy about Will. Could have done without Paul's vision but atleast it was short. loved Maddie/Luke/Kevin, also enjoyed seeing three vets all in one day. Previews for Thursday's show also look great, finally Babs returns, and better yet Babs and her Son.

What is the point of Cleo? LMAO at her fantasy about Will. Will sure looked mighty hot. Good show. I could have done without Cleo. It was great seeing Lisa, Lucinda and Susan in one episode. I loved seeing Luke and Kevin. Wish there had been more scenes between them. I am starting to like Maddie again. She had been annoying me as of late. I could have done without Paul's vision too. Forgotten to mention that I love Craig. Great to have Scott Bryce back as Craig. :)

Tomorrow's previews look very intersting. Looks like Katie's innocent act is done with. And Barbara is on tomorrow...yipeee!!

eeehhh...borrrriiiinnnnggg...I just don't get the Meg/Craig thing at all. Meg charges off to "avenge" her family? *rolleyes* Don't. Make. Sense.

However, and somewhat hypocritically, I can enjoy Scott Bryce's Craig throwing out all these snarks...OMG, I almost peed my pants when he said "it should be easy to divorce Rosanna. She's alive in theory only." HILL-AIRY-OUS. Now I wonder how Craig divorcing Rosanna might impact Carly getting some inheritance. Or at least money to live on.

It was nice seeing Lucinda and Susan.

*snort* At tomorrow's preview....Little Katie-did vowing "no one, not even you" is going to break up me and Jack....to Brad?????? Hmmmn...I remember her saying distinctly that she wasn't attracted to the Taller Snyder. Methinks the lady self-serving bitch doth protest too much.

Scott Bryce definetly makes this story work. If it was Jeff Meeks still in the role I would be vomiting right now. Hunt Block would have been great too. The storyline is going into too many circles. I hope we move on soon.

Katie is missing with the wrong person. Yes, Katie stalked Holden. And tried to take him away from Lily. But Carly won't take any of that crap! LOL

Katie is of the assumption that whatever Katie wants Katie gets. I think Carly will have something to say about that. Cleo needs to go and go quickly. I can't stand her constant whining voice. Gwen is going to regret giving her second and third chances..

My grandma says that she thinks Parker is going to be the death of Little Miss Katie Sunshine.. When kids turn on you, they turn on you. Parker may be hating Carly now; but you had better believe that Katie won't stand a chance as far as they are concerned.

And all that huffing and puffing she's doing about folks trying to come between her and Jack? A whole lot of waste of air... she better save that lung capacity she's got for something that really matters; because within four months, her tail is going to be between the sheet with Brad saying, "Jack who?" I can't stand that skank!

Katie and Carly weren't even on today. Just a two second preview at the end.

Loved the Craig and Meg scenes. Scott Bryce is making all this work for me. I love him so much as Craig. I haven't loved Craig in so long.

I continued to enjoy the Luke and Maddie friendship. I wish we had a little more of Kevin but at least they did provide a tiny bit of "closure" to a story that had some potential.

    • I haven't gotten to this one yet but I have it emblazoned on my memory. At that time they were finishing up at my forever favorite soap, ANOTHER WORLD. There was no tribute. There was no mention of that 35 year old soap being cancelled basically AT THAT MOMENT. Stephen Schnetzer was at the mic to introduce & he mentioned. Same, again, later, from Linda Dano. And, then, GH won for Best Show. At the mic, accepting, Wendy Riche, her first words were about it, this is a paraphrase but she said something to the effect of our thoughts go out to our friends in Brooklyn, Another World, God bless all of you. Then she went on with her regular spiel about GH. Now, I ask you is that a classy dame or what? My pleasure!
    • It's been quite some time since I've seen those scenes between Holly and Roger where he "apologizes" for the rape, but IIRC, he also implies he was in love with Holly and part of it was jealousy over Ed.  He was NEVER in love with Holly. It was always HOLLY who was in love with Roger. She was obsessed with him since she was a teenager. By the time they married, she no longer loved him. She married him because she knew she wasn't going to get back with Ed and thought it would be best for Christina. He hated Ed, yes, and hated that Holly and Rita loved Ed, and that was part of his motivation for raping both of them. (He raped Rita the night of Ed and Rita's engagement party). But not because he was in love with either of them. He mostly hated Ed because to the world Ed was Christina's father and also he blamed him for Peggy leaving him. By the time Zaslow returned, it had been a good decade since the rape story and a lot of people who had been involved in it were no longer working on the show. So it's not surprising that history was rewritten. Considering how many shows not only rehabilitated rapists, they turned some of them into heroes, this was not the worst way the story could have gone. And the actors did everything they could to make it credible. I always thought Mindy had the potential to be the show's Erica. The spoiled girl who did bad things but was still likable. Clearly, you are too young to remember the early days of Katherine Chancellor.

    • I know this is probably heresy and this isn't the B&B thread, but I think Susan Flannery and Stephanie were highly overrated and that KKL was extremely underrated during the same period.
    • That is fair, but I just want to see something dramatic and messy (like another poster mentioned). Plus, we know and like Kat, Jacob, and Naomi, so it would be more interesting. Hayley was already a homewrecker when we met her, and her limited backstory was all exposition. As far as young love, I would have Tyrell fall for the daughter or son of a rival congressman/woman of Martin's. Try a classic soap opera Romeo and Juliet story with a DC twist.
    • That's an interesting point. I generally think of Long as taking inspiration from Tennesse Williams and other Southern writers.  The only one that comes close for CBS soaps may be Lucinda Walsh or Sally Spectra, and maybe those grotesque later years of Stephanie Forrester where she kept beating people up and attacking them with canes.
    • @alwaysAMCKim Zimmer is also not very reliable when it comes to dates and facts about the show. If you go in what that in mind, it'll be ok. She get things wrong. She was so angry at Ellen Wheeler that the anger comes off the page. She blamed Wheeler for decisions that John Conboy had made. She also thinks Paul Rauch was the show's best producer. As @P.J.points out, Zimmer's acting range far surpasses Lucci's, but it still felt that the writers just kept Reva the same mental age for the rest of the series. Long loved the whole damaged Southern belle routine.  Zimmer was still doing the red dress thing although to her credit she was not doing a whole storyline about joining a showgirls troupe the way Lucci did in her late fifties/early sixties (I'm too lazy to do the googling and the math).  I believe Zimmer is immensely talented but Reva was never a character that I rewatch much if at all. When I go back and watch GL clips, it's rarely any clips related to Reva. I will rewatch Michelle Forbes's storylines and work for example, but if Zimmer is in some of it, I almost always FF.  I just don't care about Reva during these storylines. I'm on Sonni's side even though I know how it turns out. While GL was on, I found the repetitive nature of Reva's storylines annoying even when I didn't watch the show and just read summaries. I think Zimmer deserved better material; I think of her tapes when she won her third Emmy. Stellar work but then it was right back to Josh/Reva. I think of her work on Designing Women, and how she could hit different notes and was so effective.
    • Just some clarification: David Hasselhoff was hubby #2! Per Google, she was married to another man in October 1981 and divorced him in 1982. So, Michael E. Knight was hubby #3. Here I thought Vincent Irizarry was still married. Shrug. Maybe he dated Hickland in between her marriages to MEK and hubby #4, Todd Fisher? (Yes, brother to Carrie and son of Debbie Reynolds...)

Vincent Irizarry throws in a quick mention that he was dating Catherine Hickland when he first heard about Marj.  I wonder when this was..? She was married to David Hasselhoff for a good bit of the 80's. And then MEK for most of the 90's. Fun fact... David Hasselhoff played Michael Knight on Knight Rider. Then she married an actor named the same as her first husband's character.
    • GH B+ BTG B+ DOOL B Y&R D B&B F
    • I agree with a lot of what has been mentioned before me. I think BTG desperately needs another family.  Character ages still throw me. There have been several times where I still think Martin is Vernon and Anita's child and then a character says something and I'm like oh right. It doesn't help that he hardly socializes with his parents or Kat. I do not care about the secondary characters... Ashley, Derek, Vanessa, Doug, Pamela, Joey, Jan, Mona, the gym dude can all go and I wouldn't care. The exception being Shanice. There is a decent hospital set and police station set but most characters have other jobs. They could have easily had characters interact at work and make it seem organic. Instead they had Derek showing up at someone's work let alone a police officer to talk about his quarrel with Ashley. Also, falling into the trap of having stories that soaps no longer have the budget for. That fashion show was tragic and so was the award gala. The potential trial between Naomi and Bill being dropped was probably due to lack of a courtroom set. However, how soapy would it have been if Bill had a heart attack at the trial and Naomi feeling guilty. It would have also been a way to easily redeem the character of Bill to Naomi but also Dani and Chelsea who would face what losing him would ultimately mean.
