Sounds good. Tony/Anna kiss?! YAY!!

Good to see him working with Drake and Peter. The one or two year contract is what I would expect since Days would have to work out new contracts if they switched networks and all. Plus, with Joe and Thaoo I think alot depends on the audience. I wonder if anyone asked how long LeAnn's run is?

"Not all is what it seems with Tony" seems to indicate that Tony isn't Tony or they will find some way whether it's his illness or something to redeem him.

I can't stomach different writers destroying characters so much only to use the "it's not really him/her!" excuse to fix it. How about not destroying characters in the first place, eh? Brash/Cwikly wrote him one way, JER wrote him another... what now with Hogan?

As for Tony... I'm sick of the assumption that you MUST be evil just because you're a DiMera. Tony was an individual character long before the DiMeras became a cliche.

It hasn't been. Back in the 80s, Tony found out that Stefano was not his son. He no longer felt like a DiMera or wanted anything to do with the family. He was proclaiming that Stefano was not his father and everything. Then, when Tony was brought back in '94, his mood changed and he welcomed the DiMera name and accepted Stefano as his father. It was like the 80s never happened, but they did. I was not watching at the time, so I can't say specifically if it was never said. But I've seen nothing in recaps or reviews that states that the history was rewritten and Tony was Stefano's son. Reilly just never brought up the fact that Tony was not Stefano's son. That's all. Because it was such a huge story for Tony in the 80s, and then it was never brought up in the 90s and so on, I think people just assumed that it was rewritten that Tony was Stefano's son. No one ever came out and said it though. So as of right now, Tony is not Stefano's son.

From your mouth to JER's ears, Kenny. You should be watching ATWT, where we saw the destruction of Adam Hughes recently played out on screen and it was every bit as ridiculous as it sounded.

I'll take the Andre excuse if it means the Tony of the 1980s returns. Ya, I know, it's not original, but... :)

It certainly is an interesting question, what to do with a character that's been written out of, well, character. The big thing for me is whatever they choose, choose it and RUN with it, make it go somewhere and have it pay off by having it feed into a great storyline, with beginning, middle, and soapy pseudo-end.
