I use to hate the character but I really felt bad for him during that car scene. And it was so intense. I loved it. OLTL definitely showed why its a great soap by putting this new storyline together so quickly IMO. I wish they hadn't killed Henry off. He and Brittany had supercouple status power. Did anyone else notice how she seemed to actually care when she realized how much she was hurting him? Those scenes really made me emotional. I hope the new teen brings as much to the show as Henry did.

And Starr was amazing today. So was Cole for that matter. And I'm really liking John and Marty.

So Antonio allowed Nash to see Jessica...about freaking time. God I hate Antonio. I'd trade anything to have him in that bed instead of Jessica. What she and Nash talk about?

I completely agree on that. I like Miles, I don't want him to turn into Llanview's next nutcase. I like the family dynamic JoMart/Cole has.

When Starr talked about making sure everyone hates Britney, I thought that was kind of sad. Like nothing was learned from Henry's death. So now Starr is going to act like Britney and create another Henry? I think it would have been better if Britney realized how wrong she was and sincerly changed.

Jessica and Nash mostly talked about not telling Antonio yet. Also Jess seemed like she was giving up and Nash said something like "fine, if you're giving up I'll take Bree and leave town tonight" Jess said "The hell you will". So she was basically saying she would do her best to get better.

Thanks a lot Juliajms. I really appreciate your kindness. The dynamic between Jess and Nash is so sweet. And I just love Bree. Such an adorable name. Jessica should fight as hard as possible to be there for them. They really need her and Nash would be so devastated if he lost Jessica. Even more so than Antonio. He'd probably move in like 6 months.

Starr's comment at the end of that scene was appropriate though and realistic. I know thats exactly what happened back when I was in hs. School is rough and despite tragedy's the same games are played over and over again. I was hoping Henry would live and Brittany would be the one to nurse him back to health. Along the way she actually develops feelings for him but is afraid to admit it because of their different social classes and popularity at school. However they overcome that and become boyfriend and girlfriend...for a while at least since this is a soap...lol. Corny I know but it sounded sweet in my head.

^ You're welcome. Someone always seems to answer my questions, so I like to return the favor when I can. I think your senerio for Britney and Henry would have been sweet too. Too bad for us the actor who plays Henry is successful on Broadway. Our loss is their gain.

They should have offered him the role of Cole because the other actor is just stiff and emotes very little.

I actually felt bad for Britney; she finally realized what kind of damage her actions have set into motion.

Antonio & Natalie would be perfect for each other; two self righteous, moralizing hypocrites.

That is what I thought. And then, when they showed her ol bitchy mom! I really believe this could lead to an interesting dynamic. Now I really hope this isn't a case where they turn Britney into a nut so they can push the shoot em high school story, but I do like the changing places story.

Jess I LOVE your banner.

I haven't been watching the show but from reading recaps it sounds pretty boring. I can't believe this is what they airing for May Sweeps. I wonder if Henry was supposed to die in the original storyline?

Thanks. I bet he was supposed to die.

Sweeps are weird. It's just the same stories, really except for the teen story. When you cut right through everything though, there have been very few stories in DH's tenure. It's Antonio/Jess/Nash from DID to now, it's Todd/Blair and the third party of the moment, it's John/Natalie/Cris/Evangeline.

The teen story actually is refreshing because it is different.

Today's show: Nothing new at all in my opinion. I thought the scene at the end with Nash was cute, but storywise, nothing at all happened today.

Here is the current status of the Dena story catalouge, which has not changed in three years:

The triangles. Too many to name here without seriously risking SONs bandwidth.

The crazy obsessed lover story: First Mad Mags and Todd; Second Spencer and Blair; now Miles and Marty

The Who Killed Who and Who Cares: Who killed Paul (not bad actually); The Killing Club; Who Killed Margaret: Who Killed Spencer.

Not too much variety going on in the Dena songbook. She writes three stories.

LOVE the banner Jess and good to know about today. I liked the last two days and I knew I couldn't actually enjoy three days in a row, you know?

I thought the same thing about Starr, but I also thought it was a good moment of Starr showing she is a product of her parents.

I felt for Britt and I hope we get to see more of her mom--gives an interesting insight into the charcter

I thought the montage at the end was good. Cole hugging John was sort of sweet. I like John and Marty. I just hope Miles isn't going Stalker on us.

I agree about the ending Jash scene being cute. It was nice to see Jess smile. Interesting that Antonio admitted that Jessica isn't the woman he fell in love with.

It was nice to see Roxie. Also nice that she got to play something other than lovable drunk. I don't know how Rex thought that Adrianna wouldn't be pissed over his little plan.

I really hated Rex today. I do like Cole and John, but I don't want Miles to be a psycho.

Baller thanks on the banner. A poster with the screenname Jem at another board made it and let me use it.

OMFG...are they REALLY making Miles psycho like Mitch cuz I don't think I can stand anymore of these lunatic obsessive lovers.

JASH was so beautiful today. God I'd love to see Antonio and Natalie get together and ride off into the waves. With Cristian too.

    • Has anyone ever totted up how many women on GL slept with both father and son(s)? Reva gets a lot of crap for it but she's far from the only one: Claire Beth Blake Olivia Dina Did I miss anyone?
    • I think Long was probably planning to have Claire suffer from Post Partum, but she left the writing staff shortly after Claire had Michelle so that element didn't get explored. And I always assumed that when Claire returned in the late 90s/early 00s.. that she was realizing that she messed up by not staying a part of Michelle's life and became resentful/bitter over her previous choices.  That was my theory.
    • Jenn was a huge part of the success of Days back in the day, and that contribution shouldn't be dismissed.  With that said, I do think her and Jack's time on the show should remain as occasional visits/drop ins. When Missy returns to play Jenn, Jenn is back to being Jenn.   Jenn in her glory days was head strong, fiesty, and was a live wire.... and her scenes with Jack on Friday was classic Jenn with Jack being the voice of reason.   It was the foundation of their relationship back in the day.
    • Claire was always tightly wound, I think what Long was going to do is to throw the three into this impossible situation with no bad guys, Mo, knowing how to take care of kids from growing up but unable to conceive and Claire, who didnt know how to take care of kids and was totally focused on her career, gets knocked up.  Ryder took Claire off the deep end as a convenient way to make story for characters he wasnt interested in (though Pratt blames McTavish) with little effort. It was later explained to be a brain tumor (though why was she a bitch again when she returned?) \ Claire did sleep with Rick, she was his first!
    • I'm sorry, truly I am, but this literally made me LOL. Tempting fate, much?

    • Oh, I have very little doubt that Missy feels some way personally and privately.  Donna was just saying she actively spoke out against Days in public in reference to the gay storylines, which she did not. I don't have super strong feeling about Jen one way or another.  She was always a side character to me.  I still think Missy is Jen regardless of her stupid beliefs.
    • I hated the swap-over; Clayton Norcross, to me, was far superior in the role of Thorne than Jeff Trachta ever was. And the recast left me disliking Thorne when he was the superior son to me. As for Teri Ann Linn, I feel like she got the raw deal. Kristen was very clear as a forefronting character, especially in her rivalry with Stephanie, and it feels like she was dropped off for Felicia, and they never returned it. Not to mention the subpar recast with Tracy Melchior in 2001. Someone like Brenda Epperson (ex-Ashley, Y&R) would've been more suited for that role.
    • I just remember when Leo was marrying Craig (?), Greg Rikaart stated a line and made direct eye-contact with Melissa Reeves, and when the camera cut to her, she looked away.

Rikaart had a mission that day, and he succeeded.
