I was curious to see what Lindsay Hartley would do since before the DirectTv thing happened I read an interview in SOD with her and she was putting off having another baby to audition so i could see her going either way.

She put having another baby because she thought Passions was over for good. She didn't want to be pregnant for the auditions she would force to go to find a steady gig. Now that Passions is staying on the air and she is probably going to be guaranteed steady employment for a while longer, I could see her going back to trying getting pregnant. It probably depends on if Justin's pilot gets picked up, too.

They should offer Lindsay the moon and stars to stay -- she's the biggest draw. If they have to cut FOUR cast members just to afford/keep her, so be it.

I agree but, as a fan of her, I want better for her. If she stays, fine but she is bigger then the show. EH is slowly rising to that status as well.

Don't care much about Emily Harper. I hope they write Fancy off next year when her contract expires.

STAYING:

Eric Martsolf "Ethan" is the first cast member to sign a contract to remain with soap when it goes to DIRECTV this fall.

Good. I hate the writing for Ethan but Martsolf has grown on me through the years. Can you believe he's been with the show for five years already?

So, we have, more or less confirmed information that Juliet Mills (and likely by extension, Nicole Cox), Emily Harper and now Eric Martsolf are continuing. Good! I will say I think Liza will continue on with the show, as evidence by her positive post about the show getting picked up.

I'm pretty sure most of the cast will continue, even if it means massive pay cuts. It's clear most love the show.

Only two that are mysteries, at least to me, are Lindsay and Galen.

I've read that Justin Hartley's CW pilot may not be picked up, so I think that may be a factor in Lindsay remaining on Passions.

There's a good chance Adrian Wilson (Chris) will be written off the show well before September 7.

Speaking of Chris, I was wondering if he is already gone. They dropped the story about his past and connection with Alistair months ago and he left Sheridan so it feels to me like they are finished. I could care less because I never liked him but just wondering.

I think so too. The story's all about Luis, Sheridan, and Fancy. Sheridan clearly doesn't care about Chris. I think he's probably already gone. I don't think it would matter to Sheridan that he was hired by her father because he's left her of his own free will, and she's not interested in pursuing him....she wants Luis!

According to SOW, Ben Masters has renewed his contract as well.
