According to my friend(not going to name any names) that attended the brunch Ellen(Margo) Dolan had last weekend she told people that JP is no longer writing for ATWT and that it is just Christopher Goutman that is writing for the show now. Im just curious if anyone else heard this?

I have no idea. Ellen seemed to be running her mouth about a lot of things at this brunch. There were several things that I heard she talked about. I know that in SOD May Sweeps that Goutman talked about the show and there were people who thought that was really weird because of the fact that JP usually does it. I was just wondering if anyone else had heard this.

ATWT's been stagnant for a while now, the show could use a total staff makeover, a cosmetic makeover wouldn't hurt either. P&G and CBS were so eager to change everything in 1999, when Goutman first came it, yet now they don't even attempt to make a difference.

I read this on another board, what Ellen said was that JP does not have any control over what she is writing she is being told to do whatever by Chris G. So pretty much the crap we are seeing is all Chris G. She is just writing what he wants her to write, which is pretty much for HIS favorites not hers.

Please, please don't get my hopes up.

There have been some minor changes lately. Judy Tate,a breakdown writer had been dropped to scriptwriter,David A.Levinson, a scriptwriter had been elevated to breakdown writer,on again, off again writer Gary Sunshine has been made permanent.

I heard a rumor over a month ago that a certain talented writer who is now a scriptwriter on this show had been given a lot more responsibilities.

I am crossing my fingers it is true.

ATWT needs a change.

Nope, don't believe there's any change a-comin'. It's been pretty obvious, even under Hogan, that Goutman runs the show the way he wants. There are things I admire about his work...his directing can be brilliant. He's tried new things to market the show...they're hit or miss, but at least it's something.

However, his "vision" storyline wise SUCKS. His obsessions with Rose/Lily, Gwen/Cleo and Katie SUCK. Getting "big name" actors for six month runs SUCKS.

STICKING WITH PISSNANTE SUCKS.

    • I find Missy Reeve's views offensive and I don't want to defend her, but I don't think she ever said anything publicly about Days "gay content".   In fact, I don't think she's ever said anything negative about Days at all.  There's no indication Missy is difficult or unprofessional on set-except for the whole affair thing years ago lol-but that's a whole different topic. I can dislike Missy as a person and still think she's the perfect fit for Jen.  Cady tried and it didn't work for me.  Whenever Missy steps into the role it works.  It's a two things can be true situation.  Missy has some bad opinions, but she's great at playing Jennifer.
    • Doesn't the funeral go into Tuesday
    • Christian Streaty wrote her second freelance script today on Days. Surprised they gave the first funeral episode to a newbie.
    • And the third thing, which I have no cite for, and I may look to see if one is findable, but supposedly she said that the show had too much gay content in it. And, to be fair, that could be someone making a criticism about balance & not be bigotry but when it's added to the other, that's why it bugs people.

The greatest tv series season finale in history.
    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
