Never mind I found the answer. Here is the recap of the final episode from tvtome.com

Originally aired: Wednesday July 20, 1994 on ABC

Writer: Kirk R. Thatcher

Director: Tom Trbovich

Show Stars: Sherman Hemsley (B.P. Richfield), Sam McMurray (Voice of Roy Hess), Sally Struthers (Charlene Sinclair), Florence Stanley (Grandma Ethel), Christopher Meloni (Spike), Stuart Pankin (Earl Sinclair), Gary Owens (Narrator), Jessica Walter (Fran Sinclair), Pons Maar (Roy Hess), Kevin Clash (Baby Sinclair), Jason Willinger (Robbie Sinclair), Leif Tilden (Robbie Sinclair)

Recurring Role: Suzie Plakson (Monica DiVertibrae), Thom Sharp (Bert)

Production Code: D365

The Sinclair family are awaiting the arrival of the the bunch beetles to eat the citter poppy's that are growing everywhere in the world. But when they fail to come after a countdown, all the Dinosaurs seem to be worried about this situation. Charlene ends up finding a bunch beetle named Stan, and together, they try to go back to the swamp to find his family.

The pair learn that the swamp was paved over to build a Wax Fruit factory by the WeSAYSo corporation. Demanding a hearing; Charlene gets an interview by blaming the WeSAYSo Corporation for killing the bunch beetles. Earl tries to lie about that, even though he works for the company. Mr. Richfield then decides to make Earl the environmental task force leader, allowing him to bring in poison to destroy the citter poppys, and the following day, Pangaea is coated in plant poison.

The next day, Earl sees that the poison worked too well; along with killing the citter poppy, all the plants are killed and everyone blames Earl. Earl and Roy go to see Mr. Richfield, who are concerned about the current status of the planet; Dinosaurs tend to get a little antsy if they suspect they may never eat again. Mr. Richfield phophecizes that if the Dinosaurs can make it rain, the plants will grow back. He suggests to Earl and Roy that in order to bring a major downpour, they will start dropping bombs in the volcanoes. With few other options, Earl responds, "Yes, sir. Bombs away." That night, Earl is enthusiastic about the giant clouds coming in, but when prompted by Fran to watch the weather forecast, Howard Handupme reports that the clouds will bring snow, and Pangaea will never be able to see sunlight again.

Earl calls Mr. Richfield again, saying he is concerned about the weather forecast, but Mr. Richfield asks him how he can think about the weather when WeSAYSo is having the best quarter ever for sales; with the food and heat crisis, Dinosaurs all over Pangaea have been emptying their pockets towards WeSAYSo-brand products. Earl thinks there may not be a next quarter, but Mr. Richfield reprimands him for acting like such a hippie. When Earl thinks the world may be coming to an end, Mr. Richfield says they'll just need to burn that bridge later; all he's concerned about is what to do with all the money he is getting.

With no options left, Earl feels very ashamed that he lead the world to the event of 'doomsday'. In the end, the Sinclair family stay put with each other to make sure nothing happens to them. Fran looks doubtful as Earl states, "After all, Dinosaurs have been around for millions of years, it's not like we could all just...disappear."

The series' last image is of newscaster Howard Handupme, who signs off saying, "Good night. ...Goodbye."

As the credits roll, we see the outside of the Sinclairs' house, slowly disappearing under a snowdrift, while a depressing instrumental plays.

^^God, I don't remember that series finale, but that's depressing! I mean, it makes sense - but what a sad ending to a great show. I remember loving that show as a kid!
