The Northeast The Inland North The Midland Philadelphia The West Boston North Central What American accent do you have?Quiz Created on GoToQuiz Makes since since I live in the south.
March 21, 200718 yr Member I had to make my comment about what happened to me yesterday...it made me think of taking this quizz. When I was at the mall, one of those cell phone kiose guy's approached me...I was nice enough to talk to him to tell him no about wanting a cell phone, but when I finished talking, he asked "Where are you from, because you sound like you are from the south..." I will admit, that I have gotten that said to me a lot...so now I'm wondering if I would have fit in the other categories....I guess the 'accent' I have must have come from being around my grandmother so much, since she's the only southerner in the house.
March 22, 200718 yr Member I got North Central. "North Central" is what professional linguists call the Minnesota accent. If you saw "Fargo" you probably didn't think the characters sounded very out of the ordinary. Outsiders probably mistake you for a Canadian a lot. They got it right - I'm Canadian.
