^ OMG I love those!!!! One thing I don't like is when there's a lot of different versions of an opening with different members of the cast in each. Y&R and OLTL are two that I know do that. I wish they could fit everyone in one opening.

I don't know about Y&R and ATWT, but OLTL could easily get all their cast into one opening. They do not need two versions of it.

I loved the theme that they had before this one. The majority of it was blue and I think it was aired in the late 90's and early 2000's. It also had the characters names. Does anyone know which one I'm talking about?

Yes, I remember that one very well. They used it from 1995-2004. It was a variation of the 1984-1992 opening (which featured the famous lyrics of Peablo Bryson from 1987-1992).

JSF, I have to tell you, I LOVE those GL openings that you posted! Especially the first from 1983. I wouldn't say it was the best soap opening ever, but it was damn good. The compelling music combined with the shots from the show....I love "My Guiding Light"! However, as far as GL is concerned, NOTHING beats the Hold On To Love opening from the 90s. God, how I miss that opening...

I did watch GL for the special 70th anniversary episode, although that's the only time I have ever watched it.

But I never cared much for that holding hands episode the day I did saw it.

And one thing that the great "All My Children" opening has in spades -- among other things, of course. Honestly, I can't see why anyone would want to go back to the "gold" opening of 2002... it's just....hmmmmmmmmmmm... not enough "umph" as the current one, which brings together history with hip chords and beats and cuts. LOVE that opening. Wanna marry it.
