Members Adam Posted March 9, 2007 Members Share Posted March 9, 2007 The film look for me has been here since July 25th, 2006..... the shakey cams are used alot less often I notice.... but the film look is still there. I didn't notice anything when I watched some today but I will pay attention when I watch the rest of the episode later. I've become so sensitized to this film look.... I kind of like it. It sets AMC apart but I am glad they stopped using the shakey cams. I liked the unscripted transgendered group meeting. Jeff was amazing as Zoe, she fit right on. A once awesome couple has been so hacked, its beyond the point of return. Megan, she never ever got the complexity of J.R's character. She turned him into a psychotic evil drunk in order to push her Sainted Babe. At this point I am ready to say adios to both character.... I don't know if they can be salvaged. It's the little things I love about these two, like the way they both light up when they see each other and give each other the BIGGEST embraces. I love how Zach always greets Kendall with compliments like "You like nice," or "You look beautiful." I love the way they playfully tease each other. Especially the way Zach almost encourages Kendall's firery flare -- because that's Kendall and he not only accepts that about her, he LOVES that about her. For me, the way Thorsten plays it is him saying that he doesn't ever want that spark to go out, so if he has to take her bowling on Valentine's Day, then so be it. Or, like today, if he has to tease her about knowing how to grocery shop (which I died laughing -- I mean, really. Kendall? Grocery shopping? ), then it's all good. Damn that messenger! Jeffrey Carlson was wonderful today. I'm glad that Zoe has access to this support group. I also liked the fact that they addressed the fact that all because someone indentifies as transgender doesn't mean all the questions stop and everything makes sense. Ugh. No matter how many times Babe tries to rationalize things, I'm still never going to be on her side. I agree, JR's been a complete asswipe. But his reactions were always kicked into high gear because of that slutpuppy, and I love how they say JR never changes -- but Babe doesn't either. She makes incredibly BAD decisions pretty much habitually, and then expects everyone to just forgive her and move on. Or when she makes these bad decisions, they play the tinkly, saintly music over the top, making it seem like she's doing some so tremendously noble. But I've noticed Little Adam being "different" a couple of times prior to today. Just like they changed "Spikes" a few weeks ago. It will be interesting to see if they continue to show AMC in the normal unprocessed video on ABC Monday. I am hoping that the filmlook is gone for good and SOAPnet was given this version by mistake(like when ABC will debut an updated opening and SOAPnet still keeps showing the old version instead for days/weeks). A-Channel airs AMC here in Canada and they get a feed from SoapNet as opposed to direct feed from ABC. I kind of like the film look. Members argo54 Posted March 10, 2007 Members Share Posted March 10, 2007 Eh I don't think it's the same thing for a few reasons (and I forgot to take my pics out so I fear I still have my JR/Babe pic and JR/Kendall in bedroom pic which I should remove but JR looks hot in both so maybe not LOL). Did JR kidnap the kid? yeah for like 5 minutes but he brought the kid BACK LOL. Plus he kidnapped a kid she had already kidnapped (and like she's currently planning with JR she planned to keep that child FOREVER) so I don't think many people were feeling bad for her LOL. Since then she DID kidnap his child (in addition to the other one she kidnapped from Bianca) and told him he was dead (translation? once she didn't keep the first child she planned to keep forever, she took another baby she planned to keep FOREVER LOL), since THEN after he LEGALLY got custody she decided she was going to take his son AGAIN by conning him into loving her because she felt she was owed this (and it was only LUCK that she fell back in love with JR or otherwise she would have taken the kid), and now since those TWO attempts (which she said she was sorry about ) she is now planning to take the kid AGAIN and she's not going to bring him back in like 5 minutes but let JR go through a lifetime wondering what happened to his baby and this is 5 minutes after JR buried his mother and thinks he just buried her worthless self. Not to mention he's setting records for being told someone is dead when they are not. So overall? no I don't think it's the same thing. I think Babe is disusting and cruel and she wonders why JR turns on her? Whatever LOL. I hope he stops worshipping at her alter (it's bad enough we have to see Kendall do it) and gets rid of her once and for all. I think it looks better through the new cameras, but you can still tell its video as opposed to the faux-film look the show had the rest of last week. Also, JR has showed true contrition this week for everything he did to Babe and he's even tried to make it up to Krystal.
