These Awards our bulcrap

Miranda Lambert for Best Female Vocalist GMFB this spot belongs to Trisha Yearwood

Big Rich with 4 nom's another big joke

Trisha Yearwood & Julie Roberts deserve some respect for this awesome work over the last year.

Glad to see the redneck wilson didn't get but 1 nod she needs to go back to the trailer park.

Awesome to see Rodney atkins with 2 nods talk about overdue respect.

Hopefully Ashley Monroe walks away a surprise winner in the vocal event catergory.

Robert

Very fine awards noms IMO.

I am actually surprised that Vince Gill didn't get more. His album was very good plus he is a favorite in these awards and CMA's in years past.

I am so glad that Rascal Flatts broke into Entertainer. They are so good.

Actually glad for Big & Rich. I have never been big fans of theirs but their last album and last few singles have been a lot better.

I love Brooks & Dunn but I am really hoping this is the year someone finally beats them. There are so many good duets right now that deserve some recognition.

I hope Kenny Chesney wins nothing. He's a boring singer, all his songs sound the same, and I see no appeal with him whatsoever.

No surprise the Chicks got dissed. They've been on country music's sh!t list ever since they knocked the Prez. When a genre is made up of tons of ultra-patriotic, for God and country singers and fans, those kinds of remarks aren't taken lightly. Maybe if the wounds of 9/11 weren't still so fresh at that time, it wouldn't have been such a big deal.

I'm not a big fan of country, but Give It Away by George Strait and When You Think of Me by Taylor Swift are two great songs.

Why cuz I'm a gay? Sorry that doesn't fly.

And I'm not naming stereotypes in describing them.

Country fans went OUT of their way to BURN the DC cd's, they told their children that its okay to hate people who dare speak their mind, they threatened the lives of singers who shared their opinion.

If thats not close minded, what the hell is?

Well I (being one of those southerners Shawn was referring to) am glad the the Dixie Chicks spoke their mind and spoke out against our idiot President.

I know that the south is typically referred to as the Bible Belt and Republican country....but this Southern Baptist, Democrat from Kentucky is glad they did it. :)
