They seriously need to give PAUL a REST ALREADY!!!!, BORING

Didn't like Will picking up Gwen's phone, when it was Maddie of all people, just didn't seem natural for Maddie to just blurt that out before anyone even said "hello".

Emily's stuff was VERY VERY GOOD, I never liked her before, but somehow this storyline fits

the best part of the show BY FAR......LUKE TOMMOROW!!!!!!!!!

Agreed! Paul is a pathetic character. He needs to move on and so do the writers with this supposedly triangle.

Seeing Luke is always a good thing!

Today's show was better than Tues and Wed shows. I really enjoyed Margo and Tom's talk while Casey listened on. That was the best part for me of the show.

Today's show was pretty good, highlight was the Casey/Margo/Tom scenes, also the Gwen/Will/Iris scenes were pretty good. Total BARF to Craig/Meg/Paul just barf, get them off my screen, I think me having to watch Paul weeping to Meg was more painful to my eyes than it was for Paul to be rejected. I agree Luke tomorrow is great, will someone please give this boy a storyline pretty please. Oh forgot to mention loving Emily's storyline I don't know why, but I really like it.

Here is a little tidbit on Paul's next vison it happens next week

Thank You..sieg82.

I just loved their scenes because it involved a geninune family talk between Tom and Margo and where they went wrong with their children. And Casey listening and knowing how he hurt his folks was really good. And having him sit on the chair and just put his head down like in shame was great.

Today's show was great, but I think the whole week has been good.

I even loved the Craig/Meg/Paul stuff. I would love it more with Scott Bryce/Jennifer Ashe/Andrew Kakovit in the roles, but I still am enjoying it. Paul & Craig make good rivals and I love that they have history together as rivals, and over what Craig did to Barbara. I love Paul but I don't like Howarth. I can take Jeff Meek better than I can Howarth. Wilson is okay as Meg but I want Ashe back so bad.

Tom & Margo are stealing this story, and I am so happy of that. But I do love the teens too. Roerig to me is doing some of his best acting in this. JP has her faults but one thing that is not one of them is taking some of the worst stuff and turning it into something good.

Last year she took the awful Nick story and Carly's involvement at the bar into the great Jack/Carly breakup stuff. Her only fault was bringing Simon & Vienna into but the between there was absolutely great.

Now this little story for Casey about Internet Gambling has turned into a great family drama and involves Tom, Margo, Adam, Gwen, Casey, Maddie, Will, and even Iris and the little nerdy guy (sorry forgot his name). And we have even seen Barbara and Lisa during it too. It has been a big story and I like that. Now if she just doesnt screw it up and bring Simon into it.

LOL, Kelly, I always love reading your posts! :P

Today was horrid. I won't say anything until tomorrow when it plays out (re: the faux e-mail from Adam) but according to what they've showed on the previews... Jade just THINKS she's hot stuff.

Anyways...

Kinda semi-liked Paul's reaction to Meg/Craig. Meg's such a ho-bag now. And Craig.... <_< LOL!

Tom/Casey scenes were okay, but Margo's emotional monlogue to Tom was AWESOME! I flove Ellen Dolan! (when she's given the right material)

Kinda pleased we didn't see the brats today.

Willen scenes with the ring.........*dreamy sigh*

Iris's nose sticking where it shouldn't.........*exasperated, angry sigh*

Oh!....And since when did Susan NOT grill Emily everywhere she went?! That's the Susan I know and love and adore. But when she told Dusty that she doesn't ask (when Em comes home late)....that just didn't make sense to me. Susan's always been the prying, I-want-best-for-you kind of mother.

Then again...pretty much NOTHING makes sense on this show nowadays! J.P. is ripping it to shreds!

LOL, thanks! I love your banner btw!

I won't even get started on Em's story. Maybe it's b/c I know she's pregnant in RL (even though Emily obviously isn't) that it just makes me nauseaus (especially after reading the new spoilers)...I don't know. But it does.

I am looking forward to Luke getting some airtime though!

    • All the time they spent trying to make viewers feel sorry for Chad only for him to not even last that long. I wonder if they knew Richard Burgi was going so quickly. You're right about Josie replacing Cheryl. On paper, this should have made sense, given all the ties Josie had to the canvas, but I did prefer Cheryl. There was something very synthetic about Alexandra Wilson.  I suppose even if she did have some fans they were just so used to getting rid of people left and right, so she was more collateral damage. As you said above I do wonder what the plans were for Peggy Lazarus. I think AWHP mentioned her once telling Peter that Peggy Lazarus wasn't her real name. Maybe she would have been another Carl moll... Rebecca Hollen never did get her due in her soap roles.
    • So true...Hackney might have had a story on FC with Richard being an old lover of his, but reveals herself to be a Cartel member and blackmails Richard with something into doing her dirty work  LOL. But of course Richard had his hands full with the double trouble sisters Ms. Jones and Ms. Braxton that season.

    • Cat herself will be a stumbling block all her own as she vowed to Chad to stay away from him, thus redeeming her of her crime morally. Classic DAYS would have them gazing longingly at each other at Doug's Place or Blondie's, while Liz is serenading the room with a song aptly chosen to represent their feelings of emotional turmoil.
    • From what I just recently watched, they were setting her up to go into future stories. She was Emmy nomination worthy in the material I saw. If some viewers did not like her, the character could have been rehabilitated after that sick storyline. It feels like they destroyed a character for fun and then tossed her to the curb. Spencer had chemistry with everyone. I'm just retroactively angry on Spencer's behalf.  You're right about how Cheryl was often forgotten and pushed aside and I would take Cheryl over Josie. I think soaps need characters like Cheryl. Characters like Josie are way too common. Josie always got on my nerves.
    • CBS was back in third place in 1994/95. That was the season CBS lost NFL broadcasting rights which also cost them several established affiliates in major media markets. 1995 CBS was sold to Westinghouse and Les Moonves arrived. 1995/96 CBS was trying to be young and cool to compete with NBC and Fox, but it was an epic failure and CBS was once again in third place.
    • I tend to think that Chad will actually listen to Jen (this time). And that will be the next stumbling block in their relationship, which will open the possibilities for Cat to seek another member of their love triangle... To iterate my earlier thought, I am also not a fan of the person Melissa Reeves, but the character of Jennifer looks so chic this week, especially in comparison to Hope (and Gabi).  That blunt haircut is a winner.
    • I think Cheryl was essentially replaced by Josie, and it seems likely that Lemay wanted to bring the Frames back into the picture and for a variety of reasons that it would be McKinnons who would make way for them. Cheryl didn't really get many layers -- she was pretty and kind and sweet and faded into the background so that Scott could participate in the AIDS storyline with Dawn. Looking at the AWHP, other than (not very) shockingly being in love with her mother's adopted son Scott, Cheryl apparently went out with Sam and flirted with much-too-old-for-her John Hudson and MJ's ex-boyfriend/pimp Chad. I know MJ told Mary that she had been a prostitute, but did she tell Cheryl and did she tell anyone about Chad's pimping?
    • I feel the same way about Melissa Reeves' Jennifer. She just makes the show feel like home by her presence alone. I am perfectly okay with them coming in every once and awhile, which probably fits Reeves' schedule better anyway. Their connections to Salem are still there: JJ, the grandkids, Jack still owning half of The Spectator ... they're perfect recurring characters. All this talk of Jennifer being in the wrong regarding Cat is absurd. Jennifer is not being villainized in any way, shape, or form, she's just being allowed to actually be human, which adds odds to the obstacle of Chad and Cat eventually getting together. All inner conflict. Keep it coming!
    • Hahaha. Jean Hackney, Angelica Nero, and the Falcon Crest henchwomen were all straight out of a James Bond movie.
    • My hunch is what you've described. JFP is likely back working on transitioning the show to a new studio and embracing new technology for its production model.
