LOL! So true Marland! Carly is beyond played out and needs to be off this show. It's not just the writing of the character, it's Laura Wright's performance for me.

It's kinda sad that Laura Wright, Tamara Braun, and Jennifer Branson are older than Sarah Brown, yet none of them could ever make this character as emotionally mature and vulnerable as she did.

I think Tamara Braun came very close to me. She's the best recast GH has had in a while. she got me when she found out Michael died at the police station.

:o:(

Stop the Carly hate!!! It's too much for my heart to take! lol.

Carly was just giving into her true feelings for Sonny. She does NOT belong with Jax and never will...she just cares about Jax in a way that she doesn't want to hurt him. Sonny is her soul mate.

And for those who want Carly gone, I'm in shock!!! Carly is my favorite character on GH (next to Helena)! She's so great!! Ever since Jennifer Bransford's amazing portrayal and now with Laura Wright...I just don't know how ANYONE could hate her!

hence why they call her slut. She shouldnt be with one man when she's lusting after another. Sonny drove her crazy last time. She has come way to far and is an idiot if she puts herself back in that world. She is only setting herself up to be hurt all over again

who are you referring to, Jax or Sonny? Im assuming Sonny. No she cant, BUT she has gone back and forth with him for 7 years and she ALWAYS gets burned. People should not stick their hands in fire unless they are ready to get burned. Carly is playing with fire right now and she's going to pay for it in the end. Thats a guaranteed fact

It IS a guaranteed fact, but I mean, put your self in Carly's position. She tried to tell Sonny no so many times but when they realized that they could die it all boiled down to that no matter how many times he hurt her, she would always love him. Now, that's all that matters to her.

Gahh I dont' want to start a fight over this with people lol.

Psychofan, I agree with ya.

I tried to dislike Sonny and Carly but I can't help but be drawn back into them. I loved their scenes today. JMHO

No. Carly's soulmate is not Sonny.

Sonny's soulmate is Brenda.

IMHO, Carly's soulmate is Jason, which is a pairing we will never see.

Carly is no more of a slut than Sam is

You tell them Tishy! I hate all the means Guza has gone to just to destroy Claire Labine's wonderful creations. God, I wish she were still writing the show, Sonny was so much more bearable when she was there. Sonny and Brenda are considered by many to be GH's last big super-couple . . .

Jax with Alexis? Yes. Anything to keep him away from Carson!!

And I never was crazy about Sonny and Brenda. For me, Carson has always been the rooting couple and always will be. They're the only daytime couple that I have ever truely looked FORWARD to seeing everyday.

    • I could've sworn FV let other people direct either here or at OLTL. I may be wrong. IIRC Kimberly is now very active directing multi-cam/sitcom work.
    • IIRC MVJ said the million was just the first piece of what Leslie got or was already owed, something they did make explicit in dialogue but not too explicit. Still, I am past worrying about it. I do think they want 30-yo elder millennial Peaches in her Sophia Petrillo wig to be a point of pathos for Leslie. In theory I am fine with that, and don't dislike Peaches despite the jarring physical disconnect and need for a recast lol. But I do think they do a lot of B&B-style whizzing from Point A to Point C with Leslie on this kind of stuff - in one scene she is raising hell, in the next she is weeping over Peaches. There's very little transition to that sometimes that allows for the nuance, and that can be done much better and they can go much deeper with Leslie (and most characters). The newer/younger audience for the show may have less issue with this kind of quick change than we do.

Thank you.   That was part of my reasoning as well. I think about the days of Kevin, Joey, and Jessica on OLTL or Lucky/Liz/Nik/Sarah/Emily on GH or the Last Blast Kids on DAYS or the Glow by Jabot kids, and it takes me back. Sure I started soaps due to the older cast with their divas, but I do like to see people around my age back then, too. Great memories.   So I love a good relatable teen tale. Bullying. Hormones for the Bad Boy. College choices and internal conflict.
    • Thank you for the information.  I did listen to the entire interview with Miss Roux -- way back when it was first released.  But I am unable to recall her mentioning Connie Ford, and don't have time nor effort to listen to the entire thing again, just for one small morsel. So again, thanks for responding.    I do recall Roux sounded extremely fragile and perhaps a bit wounded in the interview. I almost felt guilty for even listening to it.  So perhaps that has some influence on my reluctance to listen to it again.  She seemed troubled, to say the least.
    • Boxer-briefs, huh?   Well...called it on Cane/Giggly Heffa hooking up so not surprised.
    • Do you have Addie’s first air date??
    • Even now Victor is always so warm with Ashley. I liked their brief re-pairing as well.
    • @depboy Thanks. That does help. @titan1978 @Paul Raven Really enjoying the analysis of the production methods and what Monty was doing.  I wish we got some of those biopics here that a few UK soaps got as a biopic on Monty's first few years at GH would be fascinating.
    • The original 'mansion' was one of the set upgrades they did in 1980 . It was the Chandler residence. When that story fizzled out I think it became Stuart Whyland's house -not 100 on that. But it was revealed that Stuart was working for the Di Mera's (rewrite) so Stefano moved into that house. Mmmm...then it became Alex Marshall's? Neil and Liz lived there also. At some point it was finally replaced.
    •   Thanks. I'm glad she got to as I know some producers tend to get mad if actors want to direct.
