W :o W !

I haven't watched the show in a while, so imagine my amazement when I turn on the telelvision and see Marcy Rylan crying her heart out as Lizzie, Beth Ehlers being as Harley as possible, Ron Raines portraying Alan's compassion with a hint of bullsh*t, and Yvonna Wright actually on my TV screen!

Whoever wrote today's episode script/dialogue did an amazing job!!

Amazing dialogue between everyone who shared scenes today. A special recognition to the Alan/Beth, Dinah/anyone, and Lizzie/anyone scenes.

Gillespie got away. Imagine that.

Doris Wolfe is a crooked D.A. Imagine that.

LMAO when Remy was drunk and hitting on Dinah, even pulling her into the shower with him, and subsequently sad when, through dialogue, it showed he was really mourning the loss of Tammy and taking it hard. :(

AWESOME show today!! In every aspect. The only three parts I didn't like was what a charicature villain Alan has become, getting away with every plot and scheme, taking as many lives as necessary in the process....that Gillespie guy getting extradited to Australia and crooked Doris trying her best to seduce Alan....and bratty Daisy/Susan/whatever.

I loved it! I am loving the fact that I am enjoying the show lately!

I liked the Mel/Remy scenes when they discussed Remy's past problems with his father.Remy brought up that he was first going to be a musician, then a physical therapist then a cop. They are paying attention the history of the characters. That is good.

A match between Doris-one of my favorite minor characters- and Alan is going to be fun to watch!

Q Steph and DruRocks, I have been super critical of my second favorite shoiw. I even tuned out and haven't really watched in months.

I have been watching more regularily the last couple of weeks and the show IS getting good again.

Of course,ATWT is slipping. That may be making GL look better to me.

I would give it another try!!!!

Seriously, tell your friends, tell your family tell anyone that will listen- They need to turn on the Light. This show has been fantastic lately. Todays episode was no exception, I love the idea of alan/doris, Lizzie did an excellent job and I might not love remy but he is growing on me and I enjoyed his and mel's scenes.

2007: THIS IS GUIDING LIGHT'S YEAR AND IT SURE IS SHINING BRIGHT!!!! :)

To answer your question, Steph....

Tammy didn't return to haunt Cassie. As far as I know, T.G. is gone. I just get Lizzie and Tammy confused sometimes....I went back and edited that. Sorry.

Lizzie's scenes were awesome. She was holding Roxie the dog, saying that she was a mother once. How she had the most beautiful baby girl. Then she said that she couldn't do this anymore. Vowed that she was a Spaulding and she was a force to be reckoned with. Soon, Beth arrived and the two shared AMAZING scenes together. (Marcy and Beth have impeccable chemistry together).

Then, snap to Lizzie showing up at Outskirts, wanting to talk about byuing the place from Billy. The bartended asked if she'd make it some sort of memorial to Jonathan. She said no, she'd bulldoze the place down. Then, Remy tore into her. Lizzie cried, saying that she and Tammy were friends. They might have done horrible things to one another, but deep down, they were friends.

Dinah pulled Remy off of Lizzie, leaving Lizzie alone. Then she discovered (on the counter behind the bar) an 8x10 wedding picture of Jammy/Sarah. Then she saw a little bootie sitting on top of it. Said "This can't be." Something about how Sarah was wearing it the day she 'died'.

Basically. GL was phenomenal today!!!!!

    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
    • Maybe I'm still in denial, but nothing about Neighbours' ongoing social media output gives the vibe of a show that's ending. In today's 'Roundup' video, Alan Fletcher referenced that production finishes in five weeks, but in all the show's posts the cast are as jovial and lighthearted as ever. Remarkably so for people who are about to lose their jobs.    Perhaps they're just putting a brave face on things, and I know they approached the previous axing with a positive attitude. Maybe putting an upbeat face on things is a collective way of showing potential backers that there's still life in the show? Or is it possible that they already know the show has been saved, and we'll get an announcement next month when filming wraps and the show 'rests'?   Does any of that make sense?!
    • A very good week for male eye candy on GH. New Michael is beautiful, Curtis's arms looked great in that polo shirt, Cody looks even more handsome with his new haircut AND we got Marco in swim shorts rocking his lovely bod and chest fur.

    • Yeah when Jamey Giddens did breakdowns for DAYS, he would sometimes state in tweets that specific things were his idea that he had pitched to Ron.
    • I don't, since they've clearly incorporated them into Tomas' storyline, and I happen to like his tattoos, but his jackets not fitting doesn't mean they're trying to cover his tattoos. The clothing overall isn't the issue; it's the fit. And I expect(ed) more from Jeresa Featherstone and her team. Very disappointed. He's the only male, overall, whose costume irritates me.
    • "And OMG, watching the scenes of Roger's return in comparison...the quality in the writing really nosedived. The stupid mask." Very much agreed.  Having Roger hide behind a mask for weeks/months, with it culminating with him swinging in on a vine at Blake/Phillip's wedding....geez.  So juvenile. IMO, Guiding Light never did a good job reintroducing major characters, either from the dead or elsewhere.  Masked balls = awful.  Amish = awful. When Reva was brought back from the dead, she should've just showed up in Springfield as Reva, and informed everyone that she had been gone for years because she felt like it.  She had a four-year fling with some dude who ended up dumping her due to disloyalty. Josh would be pissed and declare that their love is not *always* but *sometimes* and he'd act accordingly.  Her kids would hate her.
    • Agreed. The Emmys next year are gonna be a pretty tough competition and I hope we get a Days sweep lol  Not only does Deidre deserve a nomination for these last few weeks, but I also think Paul Telfer, Raven Bowens, Carson Boatman, Dan Feuerriegel and Alison Sweeney have good chances as well.
    • It’s not about a lack of faith and trust in MVJ, it’s about a a lack of faith and trust in Ron Carlivati, who I think can be very sneaky and manipulative when he wants to be.  And, all that “He’s just a breakdown writer” talk never changed my mind about anything, because at Days, it was “just a breakdown writer” that gave us some of the worst episodes I’ve ever seen.
