Racial Ray?

Discriminated against for what exactly? I'm curious to know of this oppression you've experienced. Enlighten us.

 Where do you guys come up with some of this stuff, seriously? I don't understand how you can come into a thread where racism is the topic of discussion and spout off about something you clearly know nothing about.

Webster's Definition

Racism: 1.The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others.

2. Discrimination or prejudice based on race

Based on race, not based on racist comments some white girl with a talk show may or may not have made at a dinner party.

You're kidding right? Um, white people are also discriminated against, in everyday speak:

White men can't jump

White men can't dance

Need a good basketball team? Forget about whites!

IT'S-NOT-JUST-BLACKS.

Frankly, my favorite thing about this whole incident is that her publicist tries to suggest she never in her life said the "c" word.

Yeah, right, [!@#$%^&*]!

Like anyone in that restaurant knew who Rachel Ray was in 2005 to remember such a conversation.

Honestly, those stereotypes are mild compared to that of minorities.

I agree. But my response was for the person who suggested whites aren't discriminated against. Yes, it's a different kind of hurt, but I DO hurt when someone says, "Once you go black, you never go back."

Oh, so I don't know how to have sex because I'm white? I don't know all the right spots?

It hurts!

But at the end of the of the day, think about the stereotype that blacks have in regards to that, that we're oversexed creatures.

I get that, and respect that. But it works both ways.

Again, I think EVERYONE can be discriminated against. I just didn't like the comment that suggested that whites aren't judged or we are somehow left out of the equation.

I don't believe it. TMZ is anything but reliable.

Then let's hope they're wrong about Brandy KILLING, yes KILLING a woman, and admitting guilt, for an auto accident.

I was shocked, to say the least. :(

(I was even MORE shocked to learn "Hakeem" on that show died in a similar incident)

Also, even if it is true, saying someone has a picture of themselves in slave garb and saying someone has problems being black aren't racist comments.

I beg to differ, King, but that is a WHOLE 'nother issue.

It wouldn't surpise me that she said these things. We've all said PI comments every now and again. I know I have, and I'm not proud of it, even to this day. Maybe I need to join Isaiah at that psychiatric facility. LOL.

Not sure if I really care whether or not Rachael Ray said these things. She's a low-rent cook for Harpo and King World Syndication. Who really gives a [!@#$%^&*] about her?

  • Member

Well she is attractive, had popular shows and makes things that even a moron in the kitchen like me can understand.

So if you don't like her, big deal don't watch her. But why does everyone have to be so hateful to her? As she personally come after you or something?

I don't.

But why does everyone have to be so hateful to her?.

Because she's on this earth?! LOL. That's a good reason.

If you're in the public eye, you're gonna get slammed. Sorry. It sucks, but get a publicist and do damage control or better yet...just IGNORE the nasty [!@#$%^&*] people say about you. That simple.

I don't think she's crying in her Nabisco Endorsement Deal over TMZ.com saying "false" things about her.

As she personally come after you or something?

Well affiliates DO favor talk shows over soaps.
