Members Roman
Rumor now has it that Stuart Damon has been cast as the new Mickey Horton, and will begin in Spring of this year.

Members Mason
That would just be ridiculous. The last actor they had playing Mickey is playing Stuart Damon's father on GH. Not to mention the fact that SD would not fit as Mickey at all. If this is true, it is a really dumb move on DAYS's part, especially if it's just to stick it to GH. Members DrewH
ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!?!!?!?!?! WTF!?!?! Just kill Mickey off! It's such a disrespect to John Clarke to keep recasting this character. Nothing's going to change. Kill him already!
Members King
I love it. I say bring it on, Hoagie! Give M&M a story, baby.
Members Mason
ITA. Do they not even care that John Clarke played the role from Day Freaking One? It was bad enough when DAYS recast him the first time, but this is just getting beyond insulting.
Members DrewH
You honetly don't believe that would ever happen, do you? It's going to be no different than when John Ingle came onto the role. They gave him a small filler storyline with Bonnie and Maggie and then in a couple of months, we hardly ever saw Mickey. Members Mason
As much as I love Hogan, I know there's not a snowball's chance in hell that he's going to write a major (hell, even a minor) storyline for Mickey and Maggie.
Members DaysnPassionsFan
I'd rather Mickey be there in name only then have ANOTHER recast. John Ingle was fine, but recasting Mickey is like recasting Alice! or even Marlena! You just don't!
Members King
It's so not the same as recasting Alice or Marlena.
Members Mason
It's close enough for me. John Clarke, an original cast member, played the role of Mickey for nearly 40 years straight. Other than FR, he was the only original cast member left before he quit. Recasting was just a slap in the face to him and to viewers.
Members Mitchapalooza
Damon is an AWESOME actor and is WAY better replacement for John Clarke than John Ingle!! I say bring it on if true!!
Members King
Clarke left in early 2004, and Mickey hadn't been on the front burner since the late 80's. It's no where near the same as Marlena or Alice. That's ludicrious.
Members Mason
It's not Damon's acting that I have a problem with. It's that he would just not work as Mickey.
Members Mason
That's not the point. He was a member of the cast from the very beginning. His character is a core member of Salem's first family. He was part of the once hugely popular M&M pairing. Regardless of his storyline status at the time he left, Clarke WAS Mickey. Anyone else is just pretending, much in the same way that Josh Taylor is FauxRoman, SC & SW were FauxJ&J, etc.
