Members Joshua
Well, if you're going to go down that road, I'll follow. Stefano derives from the Greek Stephanos meaning "crowned", and the Dimeras did relocate to Salem in 1982 from Rome, Italy. Hey, I'll happily eat crow if I'm wrong. No biggie. Members Bree
This is from behindthename.com, probably the best accurate resource for names: CIARA Gender: Feminine Usage: Irish Pronounced: KEE-a-ra, KEER-a [key] Feminine form of CIARAN. Saint Ciara was an Irish nun who established a monastery at Kilkeary in the 7th century. The problem is that once Irish names are translated over here, they lose their original pronunciation, because many Americans like the look of the name, but they don't like the sound. With me, if you're going to use an Irish name, you better a: have some Irish in your family, and b: you need to pronounce it like they do in Ireland. So I hope it's pronounced with the hard C and not like the singer.
