The Erica/Jack stuff = LMAO! That is all I can say about this 12 Days of Christmas randomness right now.

I'm loving the Zendall scenes - You rock it TK! I love how Kendall is trying to get him to open up to her...and he is.

WOW - powerful Bianca/Zoe scenes! Jeffrey and Eden are rocking it the most today. I feel so bad for Zoe - and it's the first time we've seen her/him yell and be really upset. I felt bad when he yelled at Bianca, asking her if she was going to make her stand in front of the mirror and call her/him names like her father did. I also loved how Bianca asked why she's supposed to feel sorry for Zoe - "because I'm supposed to be St. Bianca?". Perfect stuff so far today!

I'm loving this Di/Aiden stuff - I love that Aiden is so protective over Di and how they acted like they were fighting and angry towards each other to lure the killer onto Di. Then of course a sad Zoe walks into dark Fusion and there is Di...and Aiden wrestles her from behind. This is great stuff. I'm wondering what Zoe will say tomorrow, or if Aiden even knows that is really Zarf dressed up.

I'm also enjoying all the ConFusion stuff. I'm a fan of Amanda/Josh...but not of her playing matchmaker to get Babe/Josh together.

I really don't like Jeff Martin. He is so sanctimonious. I really thought Erica had a point, then she pissed me off by calling Jeff to come get her away from Jack. But that is such an Erica thing to do I guess. I really enjoyed the first part of Jack/Erica until Jeff showed up. I'm not a fan of Jeff at all anymore. With that said, I really think Erica is just using Jeff to make Jack jealous, bc you can tell she deep down loves Jack and really doesn't love Jeff.

There is our Lesbian Leslie! Bianca totally looks like she's crushing on Leslie!

I hated today's show. My hope for a new AMC after the past few weeks is gone. Today felt like it was back to the mess of the summer and fall.

Babe and Amanda giggling acting like two teenagers over the compact. Jeff Martin is being destroyed. Erica and Jackson in a storyline that would have been better reserved for 5 pre-teens. I hate hate hate Babe, Josh, Jeff and Amanda. As for Di and Aidan's plan...lame.

Kudos to TK and JC though.

You said it very well and that's exactly what is going on  Erica was talking crap today and she knows it. She is the one that walked out and she forgets that Jack came to her more than once asking her to come home and to talk things out. She also forgot the flowers he send and how he showed up to take her to that stupid NB party but she had already asked the bore to take her. Jeff Martin is the biggest wuss on two feet and he is pathetic to allow himself to be used like this. She couldn't care less about him in the romantic sense and he'll soon find out what all the other men eventually do. Jack is the one she loves and wants and she always goes back to him :P

I have to admit that I was cracking up at the begining when all those people kept showing up. I loved Jack's expressions

I have to sadly agree and I think one of the big problems today was pacing of the storylines. Josh and Babe are exactly where they were months ago. Jack and Erica are exactly where they were months ago except now I hate Erica and Jeff is just awful. Trying to paint himself as the "good guy"? Typical Martin. It is such bad storytelling, after 20 years Jack and Erica do not understand each other? This is all manufactured nonsense and I still want Jack and Erica to reconcile. They think Jeff is viable competition? He's creepy yet boring. I liked the Jerica scenes until Jeff made an appearance and at that point I wanted Jack to throw them both overboard.

Babe keeping that compact in her purse is not a sign of true love, it's a sign that she's a skank. Mostly I just want her to die but if I can't get that I would like her to get a new hairstyle and a new dress. At this point I don't know who is in drag. Babe or Zarf. She's such a pretty girl and I don't understand why AMC has no idea how to dress her or style her hair. Di's dress was very ugly as well.

The show did have some strong moments. I thought some of the Zach and Kendall stuff was well done. The acting was good but the pace in this storyline needs to pick up. I'm hoping now that the secret is out in the open between them that this storyline will move but I'm thankful it is moving forward unlike the other storylines on this show. I do still love TK and AM in scenes together. The flashbacks were actually done well and normally I hate flashbacks in soaps.

I felt bad for Zoe once again but I did not like her behaviour towards Bianca. Bianca does not owe Zoe anything. Bianca is entitled to feel the way she wants and for someone who always wanted to be and think and feel who she truly is Zoe was awfully quick to jump on Bianca for feeling the way she does. I didn't like that but I had sympathy for both parties today. At least this is the other storyline that is actually moving. The acting was good in those scenes as well.

ETA: I just found out that today's show was written by Courtney Bugler. What a surprise. I don't know much about the writers but I do know her shows are always a mess. The acting saved the Jerica (WW, not so much SL), Zach/Kendall and Bianca/Zoe scenes.

I am with you Tzelkos. Today was horrible all around. Bianca came off like a shrew even though Zoe's message to me seemed to be you have to love me... love me. It was all about him/her and not the shock that Bianca had just received. Bianca also had no real supporting dialogue to back up why she can't ( ie. I like female bodies) and then her 'deal with this on your own.' WTF? This is the woman who testified for the woman who stole her kid but she can't help Zarf cause he hit on her. BS. McHack is ripping Bianca apart to make Zoe sympathetic and so we will accept this pairing. Its not working for me. I would love her flirting with Leslie but I think its meant to show she feels something for Zarf/Zoe and I hate that aspect of it. I feel like these hacks are setting up the TG community against the lesbian community. I think the lesbians who have problems with the politics behind this particular pairing have explained why very well. I would hate to think how bad this would have come off in the hands of lesser actors.

But Barf was only part of a the problem today. Erica and Jack was horrid. Erica is selfish yes but this was beyond ridiculous. She looked like a five year old.

Babe and Josh. UGH I can't stand another five minutes of them. Babe really seems to want to work on her marriage does'nt she.

Zach and Kendall. I wish they would give us more about this story. I am getting very bored because I haven't learned anything more than what I knew a month ago.

Comparing this show to DAYS which I also watch is doing it no favours in my eyes. I am getting at the end of my patience waiting for things to turn around. No way I can last till April if the rumours are true. After finding out who wrote this mess today I am not surprised how bad it was. I still can't believe there is such a shortage of good writers out there that we have to put up with a day like today.

ETA: OMG jenna it was like you read my mind while I was typing lol. Its just your quicker than me.

LMAO. I was trying to not be too negative because everyone has been so rah rah rah about AMC the last couple of weeks but I'm glad other people see the mess that today's episode was and I never even caught the fact that Bianca and Leslie being together means that Bianca feels something for Zoe. I don't like that at all.

I don't know many people from the lesbien or TG community but as a straight woman, and I'm sorry to say it but that is the majority of the viewing audience, I just don't like this story and it's mostly because this is a show that has not given Bianca one real romantic relationship and they expect me to hop aboard this Zoe/Bianca train when I know this is all about publicity? Maybe if Bianca had a couple of real relationships under her belt I would be more open to this relationship. Right now, all I see is the agenda. I'm also so sick of Bianca being used to prop whatever MMT has on her agenda. I feel it strips the Bianca character of her integrity. At this point I rarely feel I know who Bianca is personality wise/character wise.

I think for AMC the Zoe coming out was handled relatively well or as well as I could have possibly expected from these hacks but this added I love Bianca/you love me Bianca stuff is just ruining the entire storyline for me.

I think the poster means more in terms of the serial killer. When Simone was killed most of figured out that the killer had something to do with Zach's past because of his reaction, his focus on the gardenias and the ribbons and the visions he was having. We have learned about Zach's past but in terms of the actual serial killer we haven't learned much that most of had not already guessed.

So yes there was major movement on Zach's backstory and who the woman was but not so much on the serial killer. It basically confirmed what the audience had guessed but we are still no closer to who the killer is, why the killer is after Zach (I doubt someone is out to get him for what he did as a 5 year old) so maybe it's someone who hates the Cambius family for covering up Amelia's death since I'm not sold on the story baby boy Zach was told.

I thinking Kenny's appearance was rather shocking.

He used to date Simone, but Simone never really thought him hot enough. He was a sweet but dorky lawyer who bailed out Simone and Fusion (including against some of Michael's corpororate tactics and schemes) numerous times...often pro bono because Fusion had no money at the time.

So as a lawyer, he knows something about the workings of Cambius Corporate umder Daddy and baby brother Cambii (connection to Zach).

And then there's the already noted for Simone particularly and Fusion in general.

Is Zoe the poster child for how NOT to get a second date?

Sheese. For whatever reasons Bianca's going to Leslie...let her do it! Girl's had a lot thrown at her and needs a reboot. I'll take a breather, please. McT thinks herself so veddy veddy esoteric tip-toeing back and forth across the lines here. And the hacks at ABCD really know how to gin it up.

The MayBeGayNowJustALesbianCheater back in Paris, the murders, now this with Zoe, who despite her own understandable anguish is freakin' pushy and selfish. She doesn't really care about how the presentation of her revelations affect Bianca and won't give the girl time to think. We have Hi, you expected a man, Ms. Lesbian Montgomery, Yet, Here, I am Zoe, the inner now outer lesbian self of Zarf, your man-date for the evening, please allow my to unload my lifestory, my coming out, my desperate need for your validation, presented in a upsetting manner to the lady...oh yeah, by the way...I love you and you are a bigot and a [!@#$%^&*] for not loving me? Shall I get the car so we can start our date? *sirens* Warning! Danger! Danger! Run like a mutha.

I understand what Zoe's going for, but she too blinded by her own need to be out to see what she's doing to Bianca.

I have my objections on the Bianca interaction and find the story really a set of cliches, but I've also read posts of actual TG folks who were touched by it. It all just leaves me terribly conflicted about it.

Kiss-Smack Kiss-Smack Ain't nothin' free with McT.

IcePrincessBinky. Yum. :P

Leslie=An adult Woman, and self-possesed in her womanhood and sexuality, which Bianca's not had since Lena. Go. Ahead. On. I just never really got that from Frankie or Maggie which worked better for me for teenage stories.

So, bring on the fine champagne because Binky's on the prowl.

And yes, TPTB still suck for using Bianca's character once again to try and dig their asses out of the holes they dug themselves...for no apparently logical reason.

    • Isnt’t this storyline similar to the Cameron Kirsten situation though? Sharon thought she killed him. He ended up being alive and Sharon was being tormented with thinking she was seeing his face everywhere and that’s how we got that iconic scene with her and Nikki in the sewers.   I understand in Mariah’s case this is different circumstances but it does seem like a play on that whole thing. Maybe I’m wrong. I just wish if they were going to make any character follow in Sharon’s foot steps it would be Faith. Mariah wasn’t even raised by her, and her personality is different. I would expect her to take a different path. I understand I could be completely jumping ahead because the storyline hasn’t even played out yet but we’ll see.
    • Thanks again @Paul Raven Monica was completely without redeeming qualities at this point. I always found the whole Monica = Carly narrative regressive, as I don't think shows comparing characters so heavily is ever a great idea, but she's actually worse than Carly was. Was it the Pollocks who had Leslie have a miscarriage?  Giving her a child, especially by rape, was not a good idea, but a part of me wishes they'd committed to it just to see what story it might have had in later years.
    • @janea4old Your detailed explanation and delving into the psychology and motivations is no doubt the opposite of what we will see onscreeen. As @ranger1rg stated we will get a few scenes and some sketchy explanations. Like the adoption of Aria, most of it will take place off screen.
    • I'm suddenly fearful that DAYS is going to pull a Flowers-for-Algernon stunt and Bo's progress will be reversed.  While @te. is stuck on Abe's tiny bedroom, I can't stop thinking of the size of Bo's huge hospital room.
    • Okay, why are Paulina and Abe sleeping like that?!  I'd take a screen grab if I wasn't lazy, but come on.
    • All caught up on this week's episodes. Deidre Hall has done the best work of her career with this series of episodes. That is her tribute to Drake. Every acting choice has been perfect. From her reaction the moment John flatlined, to her snapping at Abe and Paulina (what a smart, realistic writing choice), to her grief playing the text message over and over. Josh Taylor did the best work of his career in the scene with Kayla telling him John had died. Everything about his facial expression, voice, pronunciation, everything was so different from what he usually does. He was overcome with the emotion of it and any of his acting tics disappeared. Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso were great. One thing I noticed with the flashbacks of John/Marlena and Bo/Hope is that Bo and Hope are constantly smiling at each other. The chemistry those two have cannot be faked. It's clear the writing team decided to clean up Bo and Hope and give fans a happy ending for them, neatly wrapped up in a bow. The juxtaposition of Bo and Hope reclaiming their happiness thanks to John, while Marlena is dealt life's harshest blow from John's sacrifice, was another great writing choice. Marlena even saying that to Eric, that she is paying for Bo's recovery with John's life, was such smart writing. Susan Seaforth Hayes was used very effectively between the two storylines. I really enjoyed the scene of Kate talking to Philip, calmly stating that she will make Xander pay. Overall, the show should be lining these episodes up for the Emmys and Deidre should be carefully choosing her scenes for her own reel. She deserves a Best Actress Emmy for this work. The first time I have felt that way about her work. Peter Reckell should submit himself for Guest for the scenes where he found out Victor is dead because he was genuinely heartbreaking. Josh Taylor should throw his name down for Supporting Actor for his scenes. The show deserves a Writing and Best Show for what they've done with the episodes around John and Bo. It was heavy stuff and I feel for the actors. I am so impressed with what they did.

Commander Data from Star Trek: The Next Generation. Both are highly intelligent, but rarely understood by the outside world. Both aim only to evolve, to be better than what they are. And both belong to the NFL. Data, who is actually Brent Spiner, was born February 2, 1949 in Houston, TX. He was the son of Sylvia, a corporate VP and Jack, a furniture store owner. When Jack suddenly died, Sylvia was left to raise infant Brent and his brother alone. She eventually remarried a man named Sol Mintz. Although Mintz adopted Brent, Brent changed his last name back to Spiner when he became a professional actor. Spiner attended Bellaire High School in Houston and was heavily involved in baseball and the drama club, in addition to being a member of the NFL. While on the speech team, he gained 143 points and even earned the title of Dramatic Interpretation Champion in at the 1967 National Tournament (the same year actress Shelley Long won Oratory). After his success in high school, Spiner moved on to the University of Houston and began performing in local theatre in Houston. Eventually he dropped out of college to move to New York City and try his acting luck there. While in New York, Spiner gained more stage acting experience, performing in several Broadway and Off-Broadway plays, including The Three Musketeers and Stephen Sondheim’s Sunday in the Park with George. In 1984, Spiner decided to try film acting and moved again, this time to LA, where he appeared in several pilots and made-for-TV movies. He then auditioned for the up-and-coming show Star Trek: The Next Generation. Spiner himself was never a fan of science fiction or of the original Star Trek, but figured the show would soon be cancelled and he desperately needed the money. Starting in 1987, Spiner played Data for 15 years, during the show’s 7 seasons and the four feature films that followed. Even when the show was cancelled in 1994, Spiner’s career as a performer barely paused. He is most remembered for his role in Independence Day as Dr. Okun, the somewhat awkward chief scientist of Area 51 who is attacked and killed by his alien subjects. He has also made appearances on Law & Order, Friends, Dude, Where’s My Car?, I Am Sam, and The Aviator. Spiner returned to the theatre and appeared in the Broadway revival 1776 as John Adams. Unlike most of his co-stars, Spiner is not very active in the Star Trek convention scene. He has made a few appearances, but overall his lack of interest in science fiction gets the best of him. However, he still regards Patrick Stewart and LeVar Burton as two of his best friends. One of the challenges forensicators face is finding the human element in their events; to not be robotic and detached, but simply themselves. It is this crucial element that separates the good from the great. As the character Data, Spiner sums up the NFL experience the best: “If being human is not simply a matter of being born flesh and blood – if it is instead a way of thinking, acting, and feeling, then I am hopeful that one day I will discover my own humanity. Until then…I will continue learning, changing, growing, and trying to become more than what I am.”   https://www.ign.com/articles/2002/12/09/an-interview-with-brent-spiner https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1992-02-17-ca-1835-story.html https://www.discogs.com/artist/1224629-Brent-Spiner?srsltid=AfmBOorfw9Nl3EZ4fc-plhbgU3ng2bSQTruygkdJxZgsPquzQ6sBhCbj     Leslie Charleson    pg. 435   PILOTS/PROPOSALS ANOTHER APRIL      April Weston Moss   1974    (Made for T. • For anyone who missed the end of Friday June 6 due to news interruption, the last five minutes of every episode is uploaded to the official GH facebook late in the evening, usually around 11:30pm Eastern. Here's the end of that episode: https://www.facebook.com/generalhospital/videos/3649028845342563
    • Thanks so much for posting this. Since they had retconned Roger/Holly's relationship after his return as being "Roger was always in love with Holly" when it was actually the other way around, they kept up this narrative in this video. Understandable, but it still bugs me. Holly was never his "heart." That's baloney. He only married her to be in Christina's life and was screwing other women like Diane and Hillary the whole time. Peggy was truly the only woman that Roger ever loved, and even that wasn't a very healthy relationship. Holly only really fell out of love with Roger after she realized she loved Ed while they were divorcing. I'm glad he reminded people that the rape scenes were taped in a day. It's amazing what they accomplished with very little rehearsal. That scene still has great impact after all these years. And OMG, watching the scenes of Roger's return in comparison...the quality in the writing really nosedived. The stupid mask. (I love the way they joke about the mask at the end). Alan's insanely over-the-top reaction to his return when Roger had no hold against him anymore. Yikes, one of the worst things Long did while she was still writing the show, though I will cut her a break since she absolutely had a tough task bringing back a guy who fell off a cliff.
    •   Thanks! You reminded me I did not remember to add in the preemptions for the dark weeks, since those are not listed on the sortable charts, so these are the additional preemptions per newspaper listings and Vanderbilt News for the 1973-1978 dark weeks. I have added them in to the full lists above.   8/26/74-8/30/74 Another World Wednesday episode- 3:04PM (26 minutes) 8/26/74-8/30/74 Doctors Preempted Wednesday- Ford News Conference 8/26/74-8/30/74 Edge of Night Preempted Wednesday- Ford News Conference 12/22/75-12/26/75 As the World Turns Preempted Friday- Sun Bowl 12/22/75-12/26/75 Guiding Light Preempted Friday- Sun Bowl 12/22/75-12/26/75 Search for Tomorrow Preempted Friday- Sun Bowl 12/22/75-12/26/75 Young and the Restless Preempted Friday- Sun Bowl 8/22/77-8/26/77 Doctors Preempted Tuesday- Carter News Conference 8/22/77-8/26/77 Guiding Light Preempted Tuesday- Carter News Conference 8/22/77-8/26/77 One Life to Live Preempted Tuesday- Carter News Conference (possibly aired just 3-315PM) 4/24/78-4/28/78 Another World Preempted Tuesday- Carter News Conference 4/24/78-4/28/78 General Hospital Preempted Tuesday- Carter News Conference 4/24/78-4/28/78 Guiding Light Tuesday ep- 230-3PM (30 minutes) 6/26/78-6/30/78 Edge of Night Preempted Monday- Carter News Conference 12/25/78-12/29/78 Another World Preempted Monday- (Local Fill) & Fiesta Bowl 12/25/78-12/29/78 As the World Turns Preempted Monday- Peach Bowl 12/25/78-12/29/78 Guiding Light Preempted Monday- Peach Bowl
