Hogan, I am sorry for trying so hard to seduce you and for failing.

Rhiannon, ditto.

Andre, I am sorry I rubbed you the wrong way.

Kenny, I am sorry that we couldn't be better friends.

Ohh SON, I am crying now! *sosbs for real* :(

P.S. King, even though I may not show it, I love you so much!

I disagree, Rion. JER has proven that he either has a sick death wish for "Passions," (If NBC really gave him six months to prove himself, according to rumor, and all his fans know that there have been glimmers but nothing blatant in that direction, then this is the case) or, he honestly doesn't 'get' soaps like he used to and thinks he's doing a bang-up job right NOW reviving the show. That's why my personal favorite option is for the network to renew the show, but make demands. They should demand cooperation on JER's part on when to end stories and the net should have control over the show's pacing. I say let the man write but let the net control pacing. That, I believe, would solve the biggest problem with "Passions." Think about it: if NBC said, "End the Ethan/Theresa/Gwen triangle NOW," he would have to do it. They wouldn't say, "Make Ethan stay committed to Theresa," because that would be beyond their realm of power. I would also go for veto power in the deal. For instance, if a story clearly is not working out, the net could say kill it. These are desperate attempts but clearly, JER needs help. He's not bringing it anymore either due to being delusional to pacing and what works or what doesn't, or the aforementioned death wish for "Passions" and its domino effect on "Days" and the entire genre. (We know the size of his ego and if Corday really burned him that badly, I could definitely see this guy wanting bragging rights for the death of entire genre--you KNOW it would eventually end in a coffee table book on the history of soap operas, along with his immortal name and deathbed confession that he killed soap operas).

Basically, if JER is NOT sick and twisted and anti-soaps, I say the net should extend the option of greater control.

Seriously. That's why I have more appreciation for actors who take the subtle approach. She was an icy cold b.tch, but not one note. I even felt sorry for her when her husband was leaving her. I loved the ending when she's like "Go" to her driver, because I was wondering why he was waiting too  The little things rock!
