There is no chance that Ian will show up on another show. He's technically still a vampire back in Port Charles. The rumors of Thorsten joining the show were strong when Susan was rumored to come back, but it never came through. The show was going to contact Susan, but they didn't when they found out about her pregnancy. Sarah Brown was the first choice to be nuMarty, but they wanted her for longer than she intended so she backed out.

When Port Charles was canceled, vampires were still in Port Charles. Allison was pregnant with Caleb's evil vampire baby and Ian was still a vampire.

And yes, Marty's husband is dead. Or well, presumed dead. We all know no one stays dead on soaps for too long so Patrick may pop up, but not Ian.

Once the boxing story was over, I didn't mind TT so much (btw, is that him on a Verizon, I think it is, commercial?). I like Timothy Stickney, too, but they were barely using him before TT and what kind of a story is he going to have if his leading lady is being positioned for a triangle that doesn't include him? And I know I'm in the minority but I couldn't care less about another rehash of Bo/Nora/Lindsey. This will be about the 5th go-round of Lindsey being jealous of sharing a man with Nora. No thanks. Is it really that hard to come up with something that hasn't been done to death?

Why does this mean Higley is done? Spencer and Vince may be out but she's already added nuMarty, Cole, Langston, Brittnay, Tate, Miles and Thalia to the list of her creations. I'll get excited and think about watching again when she and Valentini are gone and something of the Llanview I once recognized returns. All they've done now is take us back to the disaster of the state of the show pre Malone II.

Ryan, I disagree with your reasoning that because those characters were vampires they can't be used again. Soaps have overlooked bigger things and people don't care. Besides, it's been three years, things change! When Kevin last appeared on GH he was walking, but on PC he was paralized. I think the reason we didn't see any PC characters on GH is because they didn't want them. The show was very Sonny/Jason/Carly centered at that time.

Exactly....case in point....just look at OLTL...they killed off Victory Lord in 1976, only to completely rewrite history amd bring him back to life around 2002 or 2003, and then shortly thereafter have him die once again.

Patrick isn't a character people have been asking to return, at least from what I've seen. Then again neither was Marty and that doesn't seem to be working out well for them. TK may have created a successful character on AMC but AMC isn't OLTL.

Here's the question, let's say you're Melissa, -- Would you be forgiven for not posting about Bo & Hope's anniversary today on social media because you didn't include the number of years that either of them were assumed dead in the last 40 years?
    • I am no Bo/Hope fan girl, but I think the ages were about 18/22.  It was more Doug finding Hope in a comprising position with Bo that gave him a heart attack lol.
    • Never forget, as we celebrate the 40th anniversary of Bo and Hope, that their age gap was so wide it gave OG Doug a heart attack.
    • Doug can legally order drinks and has since he arrived so I assume he's like 22 or 23.  A little too old to be creeping on Holly, but they are all graduating or graduated (Ari) so it's not the worst.
    • I just think with high schoolers, you have to establish the age of their romantic interest.  Otherwise, it can get really creepy.  If Doug was 19-20, I would've enjoyed his poetry/books discussion with Holly because on paper, it was actually pretty good.
    • I am glad Ned gets some say.  I don't really understand why he was left out of this decision.  We have no evidence that Ned wouldn't have 100% supported Brook's choice. I can understand leaving Sonny and Olivia out of this if BLQ didn't want to reveal Dane was the dad, but Ned should have been in the loop. Yes, Donna is the most adorable child in the world.   An unnecessary Sonny/Carly child, but adorable AF.   Justice for Avery though.  Where was she?
    • Peyton Meyer is 26, but I'm telling myself Doug's about 21, since all the actors in his group (Tate/Holly/Arianna/Sofia) are all a few years older than their characters. Actually, Leo Howard is a decade older than Tate! Still not the greatest optics, but still much more tolerable.
    • Michael coming back and taking his son home was a great cliffhanger......however, my number one pet-peeve on soaps is episode-to-episode continuation.  How in the world could the writers not show us Gio/Brooklyn/Lois?? I was so bummed by that.  Is Scarlett Spears (Donna) not just the cutest little girl? Those dimples!  She was so adorable with her performance.
    • If he's younger, he is very precocious when it comes to loan sharking, prison, and poetry.  I wonder if he is meant to be younger than Javi?
    • That was another thing was surprised me in a good way. Having a teenage character hook up with a total stranger on her second episode?  Wow. We don't often see that.  But to have it happen with Diddler-Doug? This is now the second girl he's gone after who's still in high school.  In my mind, Diddler-Doug is in his mid 20's, unless the show has established that he's not?
