ITA with everyone that said this was Hogan's best show so far. I loved how Nick came in saving the day. I'm glad Steve admitted to Hope that he hadn't gotten his memory back because I was tired of everyone assuming. I floved Sami helping Bo and John so Kate could get out of EJ's apartment. This really shows Sami is growing up becasue if I was her I would have told them to go take a flying leap. I am tired of Kayla almost dying everyday, especially since I know she's not going to. They're dragging this out too long for my taste. I was wondering who that was Steve saw walk throught the hospital. This shows maybe Steve is getting glimpses of his memory back since he reconized Benji, even though he doesn't really know it.

I already watched tomorrow's show and the Benji/Steve scenes were SOOO good!!

Lundsford is PERFECTLY cast!!

We also get FLASHBACKS!!

LOVED the connection between these two characters and Benji perhaps is the most intriguing new character (well not new..but you know what I mean) DAYS has had in a LONG time (well at least since Nicole).

Also Lundsford has a SHOCKING resemblance to the actor who played Benji years ago. You could almost say that it was Lundsford back then they looked so alike (at least I thought so).

LOVED how DAYS handled the whole sign language thing, it was VERY well done!

That is very great to hear Mitch. The glimpse we got today was short but I did like his look and I could see a resemblence to the previous actor. I can't beleive we get flashbacks and I like that he is intriguing. Sounds great. I think today was the start of the exciting stuff. Maybe that Dimera ring symbolized more then EJ being connected to a Dimera-maybe it was sign of the fin really beginning now  .

I forgot to mention the EJ/Will scenes in my comments earlier. I loved that and I love how he started out polite and then just lost it on Will after awhile. EJ is such a good villain and I am loving the investigation and mystery surrounding him.

I don't know if I would say it was the BEST that Hogan's done so far. I didn't get that feeling.

Like someone already said, I'm bored with Steve's longing looks at Kayla while she's dying. And in the previews for tomorrow, Kayla's saying her ever famous quote, "Are you really remembering?" It's been so played out. I am not liking Steve and Kayla as a couple and I'm really hoping they're not going to be in the future. No one can sit there and tell me that after 16 years, Steve is just going to love a woman he only loved in the first place for 3 years. It's not believable, IMO.

LOVED Marlena taking charge of John at the end. John's reaction to realizing he was just duped was priceless. Marlena just gave him a cute smirk and that was the end. When Hogan said he was placing Marlena as the matriarch of the show, I felt that in today's show. She was like the voice of everyone in the room today. Loved that!

The scenes that took place inside and outside of EJ's apartment were so good and so well-played. I loved how they incorporated Sami into the investigation. She would die if she knew who she was really saving though, LOL! John's reaction to the phoenix ring was great. And I'm liking that Kate is quick to judge EJ either. It's like she wants to believe that he is innocent. I think we're going to see Kate being the only still on EJ's side after the big reveal. And I'm fine with that. I love them together.

Roman is such an ass! I hate him so much. That's your daughter. She's part of the family and you don't want her there? Who in the hell died and left you boss? What Sami did to Carrie wasn't even all that bad and she's done so many worse things to the family and they forgave her instantly. This whole reveal and the backlash on Sami has been exagerated SOOO much!

Don't you know that I turned my head for a complete second during Hope and Steve's scenes and by the time I looked back, Steve was staring off at someone. I totally missed Benjy's first apparence

Am I the only one that doesn't like Nick? This character is a complete joke right now. Hopefully, he will improve after he gets a makeover.

And I almost forgot to mention the EJ/Will scenes. For the first time in 3 years, I liked a scene that starred Chirstopher Gerse. I thought he did that scene with James Scott very well. I like them together.

WORD! I couldn't agree more with you. EJ is a great villain and I am glad the show has ditched the idea to couple him up with Sami...I much prefer him as a villain than a love interest for Sami.

LUMI all the way!

Just got to watch the entire episode and, wow, is it a good one! The writing is really firing on all cylinders right now. I'm not sure there was a wasted word or gesture in the entire piece. For the first time in a long time I didn't have the slightest desire to fast-forward through anything, not even the Lockhart scenes! Okay, maybe a little bit on the Lockhart scenes, but little things kept stopping me:

Bonnie: There's a lot of people living in this house and two of them are jailbirds.

Mimi: Mom, we're all jailbirds.

BWAH!

Loved, loved, loved the Bo and Sami stuff. I giggled at the way Bo said that Sami "uh, distracted him." And Sami kept making me cry. I just adore it when she feels understood/appreciated. She's so expressive with it.

EJ is so deliciously evil. I can't quite decide if he knows he's being played or not and/or if he's playing Kate or not but I can't wait to find out.

LOVED the Benji walk-though. So subtle and well done (if you're not spoiled). I love how torn up Steve is over continuing to lie to Kayla and I really love that they're keeping up with the Steve/Hope friendship. They always understood each other on a very fundamental level. I'm beyond ready for Kayla to get better but MBE is doing a great job playing a dying woman with breathing difficulties.

I thought the end when Nick said we just have to keep Kayla alive until the serum gets here and 10 pairs of eyes turned to stare at Steve was a great moment. The "oh crap" look on his face was perfect and you can really feel the responsibility of everyone's expectations he's wearing on this one.

Yet again, I'm seriously seriously considering going spoiler free. I'd kind of like to let Sheffer surprise me with what he has up his sleeve.

I like EJ as a villain, but I like Sami being vulnerable to him as well. I'm feeling that we're about to experience such a "maturation" of Sami that it's going to totally change the character. I don't think I'm going to like her afterwards and we're talking about my absolute FAVORITE character.

It is if you watched them those 4 years. Realistic? Maybe not. Believable? Absolutely.

Not BELIEVABLE...you CLEARLY did not watch back when Steve & Kayla were on the show because if you had, there is no way in hell you would say that.

Steve soulmate is Kayla and vice versa and IMO time does not erase that...the love they had for each other back then rivaled the best on the show and they still have MOUNDS of chemistry that I cannot wait for the show to bring out again.

I have absolutely enjoyed every last minute of this Steve/Kayla storyline and I think it was very well written and very well acted.

The real fun is going to start once Kayla is better though and when them & J/M & Bope go after the bastards that did this too them!

It is if you watched them those 4 years. Realistic? Maybe not. Believable? Absolutely.

THANK YOU!! I couldn't agree MORE with you!!

Realistic..your right maybe a tad unrealistic but still Kayla NEVER had the closure that Steve was really gone and hey the heart wants what it wants and clearly for Kayla it was ALWAYS gonna be Steve.

No I didn't watch back when they were on. I was about 3 when Steve died.

But what fans aren't realizing is that THIS is NOT the Steve of the 80s. You don't live 16 years as another man and instantly have feelings for the same woman that you loved all those years ago. I don't care if they're soulmates or not. Steve had to have changed in those 16 years and I'm not buying this, "Steve and Kayla are soulmates and they belong together no matter what happens" bullsh!t. Same sh!t different couple and I'm sick of it.

I also LOVED how Bo was being FORCED to work with Kate, that dynamic was really fun to watch...something that we would have NEVER gotten with JERk writing!!

Yeah GBB I liked when everyone looked at Steve and he felt the pressure to make Kayla hold on so he went back to her and kissed her hand. I liked that scene alot.

The Kayla/Steve stuff is being mliked because it is sweeps and Steve/Kaylahas been backburnered so far and they are making up for it. Days is clearly hoping dragging this out and milking it will bring fans in because it has been a very slow mover but the last two episodes has begun to move it finally. You could just feel everything is building up now and that the show is moving now. I think this is the beginning of all the stuff we have been waiting for. I have been totally feeling the Steve/Kayla pairing since last Monday when she woke up so I am really into it but for those that weren't on the journey they took to be together in the 80's it's foreign. Clips can't do it justice and while it has been 16 years, feelings don't just go away even if memories aren't there. There is always a connection. I think once this hospital stuff is over recent fans and fans that did not enjoy Steve/Kayla the first time around will see what makes them special. Some still may not but that's ok. Not everyone likes every couple anyway.

As for Sami, I don't think they will totally change her but I do think she will be more subdued. She will always be outspoken and all but she just won't be scheming and will act her age. She will take responsibility for her actions and realize she can't always get what she wants or force things. I think she will be more of a heroine which is fine by me. I am loving what they are doing with her so far.

Who doesn't realize that? Nobody's expecting him to instantaneously have the same feelings or that Steve won't have changed significantly. Kayla too, for that matter. But the fact remains that they shared an incredible love story and those feelings don't simply vanish. More importantly, the kind of chemistry they had doesn't just vanish.

I'm not going to try to convince you otherwise because you feel what you feel. I'll just be interested to know if you feel the same way a few weeks/months down the road. Their second love story really hasn't started yet.

I won't even say "I told you so" if you change your mind *g*

Are you even watching the show??? Of course we realise this is not the Steve from the 80's, this is Steve without an identity IMO. This is man who didn't even remember he has a child...and I think the show has done a REALLY good job of keeping Steve detached from fully showing his emotions for Kayla. Also he has learned over the course of 5 months that he has a kid and had a past with this women and he has had several memories of her so it is natural that he would start to have feelings for her or at the VERY least CARE about her!!

He is SLOWLY remembering her and when he does all of those feelings that were associated with those memories will come back to him and slowly are.

Just because he doesn't fully remember his past with Kayla DOES NOT mean he cannot care for her or have feelings for her...

I totally agree. It is one of those things where you had to watch how they got together. 16 years or not deep down he is still the same Steve. When you put someone back into familiar surroundings, they are bound to react regardless of living a new life or not. Steve/Nick is starting to feel comfortable in his skin and as Steve Johnson. Once those memories start flowing back, he will be completely Steve and he may be a little different but he will never steer away from kayla. There is too much love and connection there regardless of memories or time away from each other.
