I agree with everything you said. I love Claire and I think Hayden is doing an amazing job. However, I have a constant fear that at one point in time they will drop Ali Larter - I don't want that to happen! I would be very, very disappointed. So far, there are no signs of that happening, but...

Horn-Rimmed Glasses. :D

I always assumed Heroes fans hated Hayden/Claire but i was happy to learn thats not true at all. I eman sure some do, but it seems like most sites/message boards i go to the fans really like her. 'Save The Cheerleader, Save The World' has to be one of the best add's ever ran.

LOL, I assume he got it because of his glass'? But where did it come from? Seems like something Hiro would makeup. Speaking of Hiro i really never cared much for him in the first season but i came to LOVEhim in the the second season.

I think Claire's boyfriend referred to him as such before he knew who he was.

TVGuide asked Jack Coleman whether it was his idea and here's what he said:

That was always in the script. Tim's original description in the pilot was "an everyman but unknowable." The idea was based on Max von Sydow['s role] in
Three Days of the Condor
, that seemingly benign but anything-but-benign character. I tried on many, many pairs of glasses to find the right look. The thing that's great about them is that they're so anachronistic, they kind of make him into this '50s Cold War warrior, which is perfect because he is this mystery guy who doesn't quite fit in. Putting those glasses on does half the work. They make you instantly suspicious [Laughs], because nobody wears glasses like that anymore.

The full interview.

I hope an unexpected character that comes back is

I am most intrigued by the generational aspect of these abilities and what happens when you start breeding these people with abilities. We see what Nathan and Claire's firebug bio-mom created in Claire. Obviously Angela and her husband spawned Peter and Nathan, Niki and DL spawned Micah, Nightmare Man spawned Matt...... It seemed evident by the end of season 1 that Mr. Linderman was instrumental in guiding these people into each others lives and essentially BREEDING heroes. I thought it was pretty short-sighted to kill the puppet master by the finale with a simple "brain-punch" from DL.

I could see someone else ultimately going mad and becoming obsessed with that next generation like Micah and Molly Walker, because shouldn't abilities only grow more complex and intense with every generation? Peter's abilities seem almost limitless, while Nathan (the much-heralded and prioritized son) seems limited to his flight. Claire is virtually indestructible, and she's (at least) a third generation Hero. Then again, Matt Parkman has shown that apparently abilities can compound over time and explore new territory.

I am ACHING for more details on Nathan and Peter's father, because we know very little about him, his work with Linderman, his death, etc. We also lost track of Nathan's two sons with Heidi (Claire's half-brothers!!!), who left him (off-screen) in Season 2. Do the sons have any abilities as "half-breeds", or might Heidi have been "guided" into Nathan's life too because she has latent abilities? The possibilities are ENDLESS.

It also looked like Claire and Elle were being set up as rivals, so I could definitely see them being revealed as half-sisters through Claire's biological mother. It doesn't seem too far of a leap to consider Elle's electricity abilities being descended from the mother's pyrotechnic abilities...

Are the childrens' abilities a reflection of their parents' abilities? It appears Matt Parkman's are, but Claire's don't seem to be related to Nathan's or her bio mom's at all. But her abilities are connected to Adam Monroe's, so is there a connection there? What about West the flying boy and Nathan having the same power? Is it a simple case of Claire being attracted to someone who reminds her of her father, or is West connected to Nathan somehow?

I could go on forever about this...

Did anyone watch?!

Notables from the episodes:

Hiro and his "match" Daphne

Tracy Strauss and her shocking ability!

Angela Petrelli is running the show!

Nathan's hospital visitor... what's the real story?!

Uh... Matt Parkman in Africa?

Sylar's TRUE lineage?!

Mohinder's unfortunate side effects!

Claire feels no pain...

Who's the real villain? Angela Petrelli or "Future Peter"?

Come to think of it... The first episode was CR*P! Now instead of Japan from the Middle Ages we have Africa, Claire and Sylar scenes were totally stupid, he can appear in any other place but not in that closet Claire locked herself into (yeah, right), the scene between Mohinder and Maya was really lame (yeah, in 5 seconds he figured out that the abilities are not in the blood, but in the adrenaline), the religious references were also totally out-of-place, lame and bordering on offensive (Maya/Mohinder, Nathan in the church — he saw God, God told him what to do, how he woke up from the dead is another story...)...

Hiro running a multi-billion corporation and again searching for a quest... Ando as the traitor (I saw that coming)... Mohinder has abilities (I saw that coming)...

A.p.p.a.l.l.i.n.g.

    • Very sorry to hear of her passing. Aside from a few clips I've only ever "known" her through scripts and photos, but she along with the rest of the original cast helped make a show that changed daytime forever. We're still talking about one of her major stories on here to this very day.
    • That's a lovely photo. RIP.

    • I'll miss him too (still can't believe those were actual publicity photos - Joe Breen must have had a coronary), but he won't be gone forever.  Rauch did well at making people feel they were important (as long as they were willing to play along). That's probably why Erika Slezak loved him (he also gave her better story than he gave Zimmer). I think Kim has a certain amount of self-awareness but also needed to feel like she was the big star and desperately needed by the show. Wheeler was clearly incapable of expressing that.
    • Nicole has 2 assistants but no one else gets any staff (that we see). Are Dani and Hayley fixing meals and clearing blocked drains? I think they need to establish that they have some assistance. Vernon and Anita need to have a visible housekeeper. Give the Duprees some help!
    • . Her husband posted the following message: "The love of my life. The brightness in my life which is now so dimmer. In April I lost you and I miss you so much and I hope you are at peace. Lost Pam due to things beyond what was going on in her life. The original Peggy Brooks on The Young and the Restless and many more shows and commercials and then the creator of Chocolate Fortunes. So beautiful and a hell of a sense of humor. Great laugh, Great smile and Great compassion. You are my sidekick forever. Will miss you and all your sharp barbs. The angels are with you my beautiful angel. Fly safe and be happy. Much love and kisses forever."

    • I grew up in a neighborhood behind the gates and it really wasn't uncommon to have your house unlocked. In my neighborhood there was an armed gate before you enter the neighborhood and you have security patrolling 24/7. One thing that was common when I was in high school were for the kids whose parents were real estate agents to use their houses to throw house parties. It was easy because they were always unlocked.

    • I posted this a few weeks ago but it's worth popping up again as Grant does get asked about return rumors, that Paul Rauch had tried to get the show revived for years but P&G just would not sell it.

    • If those two crazy (and I do mean crazy!) kids can't make it, where's the hope for the rest of us?!
