They are already having their finale?! Gosh it has only been on for three months!

Lost only has 13 episodes this season. The shorten season has really worked for them, less filler and more questions answered, well sort of.

Yeah, sort of! I don't mind though, it just makes it more interesting and can't wait until the next episode.

Yea but I still want more episodes because it is my favorite show. Well, overall my favorite show is AMC but, right now, it is Lost :)

I really hope claire is dead, I'm so sick of her character first she doesn't care about charlie and now she cares nothing about her baby???

Claire is alright in my opinion...glad Shannon died in, season 2, right? I hate that they killed off Boone!

Boone was killed in the first season right? Seems like so long ago.

By looking at the season finale preview, it seems they always have to blow something up, lol.

And aren't there two seasons left? I'm wondering what they're going to fill it with since it -appears- that we're close to seeing how they're rescued.

Did you not watch the episode, " A shape of things to come?" I think after they are recused the focus is going to be more on ben, locke, charles, the others, and the mystery of the island. Also the mystery of why only 6 people were recused out of 20 plus people? Whats walt's involvment? An why the hell is richard albert so young? There are still too many questions to be answered, so they have plenty to fill it with.

What a finale!!! So Locke is the one who's in the coffin! I knew it! Ben turning the frozen wheel to "move the island." :o Wow!! I loved Desmond and Penny's reunion! What a payoff with that. Jin so cannot be dead. He has to be alive! :( So, for them to go back to the island, everyone has to go? Oh man I can't wait till next season!

^^^Everyone suspected last season that it was locke in the coffin, and then this season everyone thought it was michael. I started to think it was ben, but when everyone started saying that a man named Jeremy kept coming to see them I suspected that locke was in the coffin, especially when Walt mentioned him. I don't think Locke is dead, I think he is fooling them just to get jack & co. back on the island. I am starting to wonder if Christian shepard is going against jacob, because if the island wants aaron back on the island why is claire and Christian telling kate to keep the baby off the island?

I've missed some episodes this season and I guess that's one of them. It seems like there are so many basic questions that need to be answered. There's still all of the basic stuff about the island that were questions from the first and second seasons. They've just woven a bigger web this season with these assassin people and Alan Dale's character (can't think of his name).

(And not really pertaining to Lost, can I just say, Alan Dale is in EVERYTHING lately)

'Lost' finale lowest-rated to date

Lost_finale ABC's "Lost" towered over competitors Thursday night but nonetheless was the show's lowest-rated finale to date.

Continuing the trend for scripted shows this year, "Lost" (12.2 million viewers, 4.9 preliminary adults 18-49 rating and a 13 share) was down 17% from last year's two-hour closer. Thursday night's episode also tied its previous telecast two weeks ago, which was billed as Part 1 of the finale. Part 1 re-aired last night at 8 p.m. (6.8 million, 2.1/7) to place second for the hour. ABC points out that "Lost" has won its time period every telecast this season.

The critic reviews were very positive. USA Today: "Whether we like where they're headed, we won't know until we get there -- but we just got one great step closer." Salon said the show had "the nuttiest final scene ever in a series finale -- the characters spent three seasons trying to get off the island and they're going to spend the next three trying to get back on?" Chicago Tribune: "I love that, no matter what, twitchy little Daniel Faraday never takes off his tie." Harold Perrineau says his character, Michael, was brought back to merely be punished.Plus some burning questions.

Fox was second with "So You Think You Can Dance" (9.4 million, 3.6/11) retaining its growth from Wednesday. CBS was third with repeats (averaging 7.3 million, 1.9/6). NBC was fourth, with repeats and the time-period premiere of "Last Comic Standing" (4.3 million, 1.9/5) falling 25% from last week's debut. The CW aired repeats (averaging 1.7 million, 0.6/2).

^^^Well sci-fi type shows tend to be low-rated, because the average american does not want to take the time to figure things out, they want it all neat and sewed up by the end of the show. I'm really surprised that JJ abrams ended up going the sci-fi route considering alias's ratings went downhill with all that rambaldi stuff, now they have the island stuff on Lost. Regardless I like sci-fi type of shows but the average american does not obviously. Abc will only have two more short season's with lost so it shouldn't be a big deal.
