October 10, 200520 yr Member Mine is "Carrie". I started a thread on this post..so u know my thoughts and feelings on this movie. It is my all time #1 movie. Sissy and Piper just blow me away with there performances.
October 11, 200520 yr Member As much as I LOVE Carrie, Only one movie still, at the age of 36, still has me keeeping the lights on at night. Halloween - 1978.
October 11, 200520 yr Member I have to go with "Halloween" I'm 26 yrs old and still have to have the light on to fall asleep after watching it LOL Carrie would have been my choice, but it's hard for me to label it a horror movie. It's Drama, Horror, Suspense all rolled up into one of the finest pieces of American cinema ever.
October 14, 200520 yr Author Member Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors. THis is a great sequal isnt it KING? I tear up everytime when Nancy dies in Kristen's arms and we see Patricia Arquette rocking Heather Langenkamp in her arms!!

April 3, 200619 yr Member Halloween for many reasons. Its the first and only movie that, when I watch it, gives me chills, from his stalking to the terrifying musical score. It still makes the hair on the back of my neck stand on end. It set the standard for horror movies, and paved the way for the (mostly) inferior Friday and Nightmare films. It introduced us to Jamie Lee Curtis and launched John Carpenter into the horror director/writer stratosphere. Until Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in 1989, it was the most profitable independent movie of all time. Classic, by far, and no one can touch it.

Halloween is the all time best and a classic at that!!
April 4, 200619 yr Member Halloween!!! Nothing tops it!!! Michael Meyers is the best "monster"!!! A close second is Nightmare on Elm Street- I think that Freddy is the fist "monster" that actually talked!!!
April 9, 200619 yr Member Halloween... perfect in atmosphere, characterization, execution (pun intended) and music. My second fave... SCREAM for its sheer fun factor.
April 13, 200619 yr Member The Shining Jack Nicholson freaked me out, and I still have such nightmares when I watch that movie. LOL
