GL is so close to the #3 spot now! I am not a fan, but IMO GL shouldnt be considered for cancellation if its still competing with every other soap except the top 2 B&B and Y&R. I dont know when the last time GL got a 2.4, but it just impresses me how GL always stays around 2.2 and 2.3 while other soaps are declining.

I would love for GL to jump over an ABC soap and stay there. I think OLTL is in some real trouble with the recent hiring of Michael Easton, while letting go 2 of their best actors on the show. Higley seems like she is trying to ruin a second soap in a span of 3 years.

I am glad DAYS is holding steady, just wish it could somehow get closer to the 3's. Hopefully with Sheffer's material airing soon DAYS will be on an uprise and catch the woeful B&B.

I dont know if PSNS can recover, its been much better lately but know matter what its viewership keeps declining. PSNS was pretty close to going to a 1.4, YIKES!

Y&R is definitely hot at the moment, congrats to getting back in the mid 4's.

I want DAYS to take over the #2 spot. With Hogan's material getting ready to air they have nowhere to go but up.B&B has been become such a crapfest with killing off Darla, assassinating Taylor's character beyond redemption, and some how the show still manages to be about Brooke and Ridge. What a snoozefest B&B is. DAYs shall be my #1 soap along with Y&r and ATWT.I've seen Hogan's material on ATWT.IMO Sheffer is the perfect headwriter for DAYS considering this show needs reenergizing. At least on ATWT under Hogan the show was fast-paced and one can only hope Sheffer can turn DAYS pace on full-blast with days passing by much quicker.Hurry Hogan Hurry.

Days is beginning to where it needs to be to overtake the #2 spot, and possibly reach the #1 for a week or two maybe. However, the casting director(s) and producers or really screwing up the casting on this show. Austin/Carrie/Lucas/Sami has been a huge interest and ratings booster since 1995, and will continue to be with the proper writers. I feel tha Peck and Clarke should be given a chance to have a storyline under a decent writer like Shaffer. Also with them not enticing Fath (Mimi) to stay is senseless. There is too much talent on this show that is being takin for granted; this is what we need to be #1 again. I would love to see the re-curring actors resurface with decent storylines along with a faster paced of storytelling. It would also help Days out to use a format like Y&R to make the show more interesting instead of showing the same characters over, and over, and over again in the show/week.

That's my opinion, what do you think? B)

Looks like Frons and the 'focus groups' he has been using since he took over are doing a wonderful job for ABCD  Of course I haven't expected much from ABC since Disney took over. As soon as they axed Bill Maher for speaking his non-PC mind on his own show titled 'Politically Incorrect' I knew that anything ground breaking or controversial that might offend some powerful lobbist group was dead on ABC. Yes I am extra bitter especially as a Canadian I know Frons would never listen to me anyway. <_<

I really believe that TTIC don't care about the daytime line up anymore. Ratings for all three soaps are steadily dropping. Yes there is talk of new headwriters but viewers are still constantly being subjected to the same insipid characters day after day and to pretty faces that cannot act and have little or no personal charisma aka Colby on AMC. And Frons thinks she is the next big thing  At this point its like Tommy Lee and his personal fantasies are running ABC daytime.

DOOL is doing OK. It's holding its own. I think when Sheffer takes over, it may beat out Bold and Beautiful. I would like nothing better than to see GL overtake OLTL. I don't know how to send a message to ABCD unless it costs them money.

I honestly would rather see OLTL cancelled then to continue the decline in quality that we have seen under Frons and Valentini and now Higley.

I think total viewers are what we should be looking at now. since the household ratings keep deteriorating due to Nielsen upping viewers.

Nielsen has increased the ratings point from 1,102,000 to 1,114,000 viewers for the 2006-2007 season. In 2000, a ratings point equaled 994,000 viewers. A change of +120,000 more viewers for a single ratings point.

I may be wrong, but it seems the more viewers they add to the HH point the less it moves + or -
