God damn it, DAYS!!!

Ouch for Passions.

Ironic that the days J*M were on they hit 2.5's and early on in the week while JER was still writing they were .3 higher. LOL.

  • Member

A big ouch for PASSIONS. I don't watch it (although I used to) but I'm really sad to see an NBC soap drop like that. I hope it survives.

  • Member

PSNS has been really good lately. I blame the Kay Quad.

But I think this reiterates my point that I think PSNS could go back to being AMAZING daily again and not break 2.0. We've just had to settle for [!@#$%^&*] for too long. I think a lot of people grew out of it/tuned out for good.

  • Member
So much for J&M's impact on the ratings.

Ditto that!

Steve and Kayla returning has had more impact than J&M returning. Of course, I tuned out those days and didn't miss the duo at all, LOL!

Okay, -.1 for DAYS but they're still in 3rd. Just keep it right there, Milstein. :)

So happy the RAM sex on GH got 2.4 for both days and -.1 for the week. At least that part of the summer of sleaze didn't do too well. People were probably disgusted by the promos. :)

I agree, Toups. Maybe that will send a message to ABC that no one cares about Sam! Nahhhhhhh. They'll probably rationalize it in their heads.

Yeah but what good are they doing the show if people only tune in to see them on the days they are on. When will Days fans learn that Days can't survive unless it has fans of the whole show. We all have our faves, but when we only tune in due to those faves then the show can't stay on.

What is going to happen to the Steve and Kayla fans when the J/J fans and the A/C fans tune out after they leave. Many have promised that they will. And who knows who will be cut next and what fans will be angered. Can the S/K fan base get the ratings that the show needs to stay on. I don't say that to be cruel, but the cuts have had to be made. And Days will no longer be able to depend on single fan bases to get them through. They are going to have to have fans of the whole show to keep the ratings up.

What happened those Days of the 2.5 - evidently some of the J/M fan base either didn't know J/M were returning or were still angry or fed up and didn't tune in - who knows. But obviously alot of the other fan bases tuned out, including the S/K one. So in essence they impacted the show both with good ratings and with bad ones.

I know some people think I have a bug up my butt about S/K, but I don't really. I love the performers, but have never been a real fan of the couple. And I do get tired of hearing them being hailed as the saviors of the show. I have always been a fan of Days, and not any particular couple. I don't see any one performer as the savior of any show. I have not enjoyed their story at all so far. I see great performances out of both Evans and Nichols, but their story is nothing special. And the only other thing that bothers me is that cuts are being made, and I can't help to think that some of these people would not have had to leave if they had not brought them back. Sorry if that offends.

I love Kelly Moncaco, but the character of Sam is destroyed. Give me Liz/Jason.

What's going on with Passions. I don't watch but everyone is praising how good it has gotten.

  • Member

PSNS has gotten VERY good compared to what it was, but what is bad is still VERY bad. Like the Siren/Mermaid stuff is god-awful! And Brandi can't act. Sorry, people! But she can't! But, I don't know if it is that or just that JER has eroded the fanbase so much from the two years of hell. PSNS isn't like every other show on daytime. It doesn't have that looooooong tradition/history. It can't afford to f**k with fans and assume they will come back.
