What can I say that hasn't been said. Today was lovely, calm, dignified, not at all like Salem is today. I thought Marie's bitterness was a bit much. Stephen climbing in the window I thought was kinda silly. I loved all of the real flashbacks. No comment about the newly created ones. I was surprised to see the Doug III actor playing being in prison as Brent Douglas. That first flashback is so old. Can't wait to watch it again.

Have you watched yet? If you haven't, you might not want to read the next thread ATM. But, I will say that Alexa Havins Bruening & Finn Carter did so well for themselves & for us!!! Now, on to December.

Have to agree to disagree. There's nothing about her that screams "inpatient treatment" to me, but I am glad that the show broached her seeing someone & they could have done more but they don't go deep like that.

I'm simply stunned. I swear I did NOT see that coming. I mean, it looks like they are breaking up Tolly. They've been a stable couple for 12 years, I think, which is a long time on this show. And, it is absolutely bizarro world that it means Kristina's seemingly crazy ranting that they might break up was ... right. NuLulu & Rocco totally delivered the goods! What a day to be a GH fan!

Charles Mesure who plays Jack Brennan on GH is my current favorite Kiwi. Finally it's cold here. Just had my first eggnog of the season. Just had my first chocolate covered cherry of the season. I can't explain it. Perhaps it was an exaggeration & most of what she really wanted to do is what got shot down & not literally "everything." Although considering the writer who said it, well, they are not prone to exaggerating. I remain puzzled. It seemed to dovetail perfectly into the fact that she had such a bad go there, as to why that was so. I know the reason she left GH was because she was exhausted & wanted the year off but ABC made her do OLTL, so no time off. Was it after that for GL? Just thinking on paper ...

For example? Also, did they happen before or after Rauch fired them? What I'm trying to get at is if it was after they came back to save Rauch's backside when he couldn't find anyone who would come work for him. Because I can imagine that things might have changed when that happened.

This is an edit that I love. The OG Brady Brothers together in the signature leather jackets that for some reason all belonged to Drake, on the pier, in 1991 with an all-important flashback to the beach in 1984. What a dark day this has turned out to be. Maybe later I will have more meaningful words. Poor Deidre! Dealing already with the loss of Drake. AFAIK she never stopped saying that Wayne was her best friend & now he is gone, too. Condolences to Lynn & to Hank & to Grady. With Aniston, Hayes, Hogestyn & now Northrup, Heaven must have a powerful need for the right hero. DAYS is now going through what GH has been going through the last several years. So you know what that means for soap opera fandom, in general.

I'm sure you probably already know this, but just in case, Labine at GL was one of those cases where every single idea the writer pitched, was turned down. Then to add insult to injury, after Rauch fired her & her kids, he couldn't find anyone at all to come do the HW job so he called Claire & asked her if they'd come back & finish out the year, or whatever. Anyway, amazingly, she agreed. Mae, the cigarette girl is amusing to me because everyone I know disliked the character, at a minimum, including me, but it's the one thing, the ONLY thing that Labine said she actually enjoyed writing while at GL. I find a bit of irony in that. I would've given anything to see what she'd have done writing what she pitched for a romantic attraction between Holly & Olivia.

It was then that CBS put it out in public that they wanted Bill Bell to create a new soap to replace GL, etc. & this showed up in an LA Times 1996 article that referred to this happening the prior year. To be clear, Bell did no such thing. P&G and CBS fought it out verbally & came up with "suggested" changes to production, etc. It was 1995 when they did the EP shuffle moving one EP to AW, another to GL & the last to ATWT.

Doug & Julie, introduced May 5, 1970. Separated by Death 11-29-24. I keep trying to both edit & write-up the episode. So far I've only been able to cut 17 minutes & the write-up is half-way & stuck, Why is this so hard?! Doug & Julie were essentially my first ship! The very first couple I found to root for.
