  1. I doubt they're looking for huge ratings for this and will settle for "solid" which it should do. It's obvious this will be taking the planned place of the scrapped L & O: For The Defense on Thursdays. NBC will get a solid night of programming.
  2. This week was much better paced, but it feels oddly dated. One thing is transition things when changing the scene and at the same time trying to show off how wealthy Martha's Vineyard is and how it's The Hamptons for black people - I mean, I get it in a way because as a white guy from Europe I had never heard of it before, but surely it could be done in a less... early 2000s way? A lot of the script also comes across as a bit 20-30 years out of date weirdly enough. I can't quite put my finger on it.
  3. To be fair to Reilly, he managed to see the storylines and triangles he started when he first arrived out, but after the Marlena/John/Kristen, Jennifer/Jack/Peter, Carrie/Austin/Sami, etc were done he didn't really get to do much with the storylines he started after - obviously he started developing Passions and then he left the reigns to others. So we don't know how he would've continued those stories if he had stayed - imagine him leaving in the middle of the possession?
  4. Yup. I was watching this last year and I thought they did a fine job with explaining it as a part of Allison's character and storyline. She was wearing a wig for a bit though.
  5. Hell, Belle would probably be a more exciting character with a bit of incest.
  6. 4x21 was very messy, very soapy and very entertaining. It's probably one of the top ten episodes this show has delivered. I love how Cristal is turning into the puppet-master behind Blake - hell, it's a plot the original show should've pulled if they hadn't had the attitude that "people like their women strong, but their men stronger".
  7. Considering they have their restrictions unfortunately, I'd say maybe two-three days would be decent enough. Continuation on Monday-Tuesday, blah filler on Weds-Thursday, then Friday again. Of course, hopefully once the possession starts affecting more of Salem it'll flow better.
  8. Apparently there was a 2xCD release in 2010: https://www.discogs.com/Ken-Corday-And-D-Brent-Nelson-Days-Of-Our-Lives-Original-Television-Series-Soundtrack/release/3530753
  9. Even if they did that, Ron seems way too in love with making Kristen go crazy. I thought initially that the friendship with Lani would be a good way to ground her a bit and well...
  10. Even if so, I wouldn't call an actor not appearing in the last two episodes of a daytime soap as "leaving it".
  11. Honestly, my biggest issue with Belle/MM is that she's way too close in age with Ali Sweeney. If I was in charge I'd probably recast her with an actress that's at least ten years apart from Sweeney (and looks visibly younger) and also put Claire in a Mike Horton-freezer for at least five years (if the show is still on then) and then maybe have her return as vaguely "early 20s" lol.
  12. It was sort of messy and exposition central - it's obvious that they threw a lot (every?) soap cliches at the wall, but I also think the pilot could've benefitted from using a more stream-lined approach and focusing on Angela's character and POV and letting the other characters come in later. I'm a bit surprised since both Empire and Star had such strong pilots. I will say that it did seem to get it together for the last act but I'm not sure if people stuck around that long.
  13. Rude. Samantha wasn't crazy, she was just merely creative, unlike her boring twin Marlena.
  14. Honestly, I don't think there's one individual on the canvas that could get Sami quite as unhinged as Marlena could. Imagine MarDevil throwing it in her face that she prefers Cassie over her? I'm sure Sami would take that as a rational adult.
  15. Honestly, one of the funniest quirks about Sami has always been how much she craves validation from Marlena, despite her trashing that board humping table skank on occasion. So I'd love for MarDevil to start listing her favorite daughters in front of Sami - there's Carrie, there's Belle... maybe there's also Cassie which she might or might not have mothered. Notice a trend of how favorite daughters tend to end with "e"s?
  16. Of course Marlena fans would try to accuse Sami of being the main perptrator here and not the fact that Marlena is Salem's Worst Psychiatrist (closely followed by Laura Horton circa 1979). When will Sami get her due?
  17. To be fair, most of us are weary of revisiting this but like/accept it because it gives Bill Hayes a front-burner storyline. I just realised Will is the result of Satan. 😂😂😂 Sami has SO much to blame Marlena for.
  18. MarDevil will be the main scriptwriter for Never Say Never: The Sami Brady Story. Also, Sami would these DAYS claim that it was just her SLUT of a mother trying to ruin her life and fabulous life decisions who told her to go after Austin. Nasty board table humping skank Marlena!!!
  19. Now give him a break - he actually has another board where the drama is truly happening. And it's truly busy busy busy! It's totally busy and everyone is talking about, errr, us.
  20. Considering they've mentioned Melaswen and now that Sarah's on a remote island makes me wonder if they'll attempt to tie the Possession 2.0 into it.
  21. They can't all be Charity Rahmer to be fair!
  22. To be fair, I think Sami's reaction to Never Say Never: The Sami Brady Story will be worth it once she gets back from her kidnapping.
  23. Yeah, I mean, I get it - he's only human and while recasts happen all the time on soaps it's not like feelings are always logical. I'd probably feel pretty "hurt" (or whatever too) - I'd never ever show it though, especially if I had said that I was done with DAYS and acting in general.
