  1. Oh, yes please.
  2. With Days and Y&R being both at Sony they might've reached an agreement to have Billy wrap up Chad's storylines I guess?
  3. Maybe Rafe will finally get a child via Sami, who I'm sure isn't menopausal or anything.
  4. Hey now, he did have another mother figure growing up.
  5. Realistically, live ratings are going to keep ticking downwards for all shows in the coming years as more people switch towards streaming / delayed viewing. It'll likely be more of a question what shows can keep their live audience and which shows can start building an audience beyond those that just "switch" on streaming. Either way, the show is doing well. We haven't really seen a huge drop-off like with other soap launches (likely because live numbers aren't what they used to be). And as others have pointed out, it looks like the launch helped the overall line up perform better, which will be in the plus column. Either way, I'd worry more about shows like GMA3 than the remaining soaps at the moment as they keep having backstage turmoil.
  6. I'd say it'd be better to just write him off than attempt to recast - he simply doesn't have enough connections on the canvas to make a recast worth it. I say have him get caught in the crossfire of Naomi suing the office and causing more conflict with the cousins.
  7. Oh one day you will love me.
  8. Going by what I know of Aaron Spelling shows, at least there it seemed like they typically put OG cast members on five season contracts and people who joined after that for two season contracts. Not sure how Lorimar handled it, but it wouldn't surprise me if Donna was signed to a shorter contract to start with and her character becoming popular might've given her a leverage in negotiations. But again, no one on Knots really seemed to have the same power Larry Hagman had on Dallas.
  9. Yeah, I agree with this. He's okay so far, certainly not the first I'd be thinking of replacing. But outside the core four, the only ones I'd feel upset at them replacing would be Silkpress, Kat, Eva and Vanessa (in that order). They're the onces who've been excelling imho. I feel "meh" about the Ted recast, plus it there might be more stuff coming up that makes it more obvious why they replaced him. I do think they have a general issue with the storytelling at times where they decide to tell rather than show. Same thing with Ashley and how they had every character remind us how nice and what a dedicated nurse she is. In general, I do think they've had a lot of clunky dialogue tbh and that's definitively something they should work on as I feel it sort of makes some of the greener actors worse since they can't really sell some of it.
  10. The only ones I could see potentially raking it in are Michele Lee, Ted Schackelford, Joan Van Ark and Donna Mills. With that said, I don't think there was ever a Larry Hagman or Patrick Duffy on Knots where the pay disparity would be huge between them and other cast members, but I might be wrong.
  11. No wonder Leslie's poor considering the amount of money she spends on wigs alone.
  12. Oh that's lovely to see them still being friendly to each other. I know Kim was always disappointed in being let go from the show.
  13. It's grown on me a lot. It's not the among the greatest themes where I'd be gutted if they changed it, but I do like it now.
  14. Hey now, don't diss those doing it for the food stamps and pocket-change! I feel like this is very rude. Totally reported if I could bother.
  15. It's amazing how Claybon is still terrible but also improving.
  16. Okay, dialogue in this show is sort of wack at times. The worst thing I've heard all week is that Tomas and Kat scene. Like what?! Were they just drunk when they wrote that? And then the Diego and Vanessa scene. These people have no idea what a sexy scene is. It's less talk. Also, Kat isn't exactly Donna Martin in holding out. She's already thinking about it?
  17. We need more shows for people to perform on:
  18. Now this hurts DAYS. One of their strongest points was always that the good breakdown and scriptwriters could turn whatever nonsense the headwriter was on about into a decent episode. Maybe Quan should've been made headwriter - or maybe not. It's General Hospital's gain for sure.
  19. They'll have at least one more single out after this before the album, which they're threatening to release. They're also back to being independent again because they didn't like the way BMG handled When the Rain Comes 😅
  20. Well, yes - I think they should've given more thought about a lot of the establishing shots. There are some that's ok, but a lot of them are plainly confusing. Establishing shots are meant to make you feel like you're in a familiar place and put you there - since I'm having the Wednesday episode on, I can point out one that just confused me: Paulina's apartment. At first I thought Johnny had traveled overseas, but nope, it's meant to be in Salem. Add that a lot of the shots just seems to represent a major city, not the midwestern town Salem has always been told to be. Again, I don't mind in theory using these AI-generated establishing shots, but they really need to think more about what they're meant to represent and what familiar place they're meant to place the viewer in.
  21. I really wish for Gabi to keep pressing Javi on why the hell he's so into Leo. I was so disappointed when she gave into it - go out and kick Leo's ass to the curb Gabi!!!
  22. I'm alone in this, but I don't mind having establishing shots though I do wonder what prompts they used to generate them - plus some consistency would help. I'm watching Monday's episode and Rafe's house is in full on spring/summer mode, but just the other week everything was heavy with snow 😅 I think it's fine that they're playing with new technology to help the show along, but they just need to put a bit more thought in it, especially where the show is located. Right now it just seems like random words into an AI prompt.
  23. God, this reminds me of a comment I once saw where someone claimed they were glad Mother Teresa was dead because her fashion was dreadful and boring.
