Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Ugh. Thank God OC is done. This was a dreadful season and reunion. I thought s10 was horrid. This season surpassed it. OC is was garbage. If Shannon, Vicki, and Tamra bring up Brooks or cancer-gate next year, they deserve to be fired on the spot. I'm not joking. These 3 women are holding this show hostage. I'm to the point that they should keep Kelly and scrap everyone else. I didn't believe the hugs at the end either. Tamra is gonna toss Vicki under the bus again. Shannon will lead the lynch mob again. Vicki will be defensive and act out. It's a twisted cycle at this point. Oh how. This show is at NJ s5 levels of being severely wounded. I hope they can bounce back next season. This is why I said they should've listened to the fans and brought back Lizzie and Gretchen full-time. At least with those 2 being back, we would've had drama and an exciting reunion. This reunion was just ... blah!

Has anyone heard about Michael Beck (EP) being tied and biased on RHOD too? Apparently, like he is with Kim, he is close with Brandi on Dallas too. People on RealityTea are saying he was most likely feeding Brandi lies about Leeanne being fired much like he's feeding lies to Kim about Kenya being fired (neither which are true). His influence is strong on this season and he needs to go. I never thought someone would make me miss Carlos King, but this new EP just might do it. Bravo needs to get rid of him altogether. I don't want him involved with ATL or Dallas. I prefer unbiased EPs on these show.

Dang. I can't believe that '75 episodes are right around the corner. I just seems like yesterday the reruns were starting.

Yeah I saw. She posted the decals and the pic of Kim with "stank face." Glad Nene called her out. Kenya dragged her on Twitter too. Of course, Kim has to bring up being "married," happy, and having a nation of kids to try and get one over on Kenya. Girl, you're still a wh*re. You trashy past is not deleted.

Kim is pure trash. For someone who loves to spout off that she's happy and blessed, she surely isn't acting like that. For one, her expression towards Nene's home was odd. Does it kill her that bad that Nene went and got a nice house too? Kim also said that slick comment that she doesn't drink from other people's glasses. Seriously?! As if this piece of trash is too good to drink from a cup at Nene's house. Her bringing up Nene parking in handicap was foul too. I am glad Nene posted receipts on Twitter about the decals belonging to Greg and another family member of hers. Then she was eager to go there and start with Kenya. Just thirsty and hungry. She proved Kenya's point that Kim needs a check. Michael Beck (the EP) obviously gassed his bestie (Kim) up to go and attack Kenya, and she failed miserably. Kenya ignored Kim for the most part and then snatched Kim up by her plastic wig with epic shade. And Kim getting up walking to Kenya was pathetic. Kim knows she ain't 'bout that life. Just b/c Kenya let Porsha pull her hair (a tactic to get Porsha fired) doesn't mean she's gonna allow you to do the same. Kim better sit her ghostface ass down somewhere before she gets touched in the worst way. Kim is just a cesspool of bitterness. I am glad that Nene and Kenya aren't here for it. I hope they tag team her plastic body a** at the reunion. Ugh! I hate that husband humper.

Yes! Now I love SH's Tom, but ugh! Revisiting that arc made me hate him a lot the past 24 hrs. When Teddy (aka Ryder) got stuck in the well saving Adam, and Tom was being a d-ck to Nikki p*ssed me off. I wanted Hal to shove Tom into the well at times too. I wanted Nikki to pop Margo during their confrontation at the mall too.

Well that's b/c I feel they didn't really even try with Ted or Laken. Both seem so flat from what I've seen.

Do you think they scrapped it b/c Laken and Ted already had that story and they just gave all of that to them? I agree that SB had tons of talented actors that they cast aside b/c they weren't Gina, Cruz, Julia, or the Capwells.

Very true even though I thought Josh wanting to be a minister was absurd. I think this was a problem on all the major soaps. I think it just wasn't successful with ATWT and GL b/c their fans luckily had sense and refused to have the Bauers and Hughes be pushed to the background. Y&R got rid of the Brooks and Fosters for the Abbotts and Newmans. OLTL exchanged the Lords and Woleks for the Buchanans. While the Hortons were still presents and had story, the Bradys consumed all the airtime on DOOL. SFT was pushing the McClearys to the forefront instead of the Jo, Stu, and their families. RH went through a period where the Kirklands ate up story instead of the Ryans. I've always wondered why soaps assume we'll gravitate towards many of these new families while thinking we'll accept the core families being cast aside. While they were many successes of new families coming on the scene and consuming a lot of story and air time, I do think at times it has been to the detriment of many shows down the line.

I've said this before in here, but it seems once the Dobsons felt that the Capwells and their significant others were hits, everyone else were disposable. A show about only the Capwells would've been cute for a 30 min soap but an hour long soap, nope. Watching these old episodes fill like overkill at times with the amount of time the Capwells suck up. Yes, they were the central family, but even they can unnerve me at times. Sucks that the Dobsons scrapped the low-class Andrades and Perkins and the class system that the show teased the first few years. While the Lockridges were supposed to be the Capwell's formidable rivals, even they fell flat it seems. Is it just me or did they seem to be teasing Eden/Warren until Eden/Cruz popped? And they never committed to the young teen stories. Ted was like the bastard Capwell as he never got good stories like Eden, Kelly, or Mason. I go back and watch that hotel arc with the ghosts and is still boggled as to what that story is about. Did the show get a grasp on Warren and Ted after they were recast and returned in the last years of the show?

Seeing as ATWT was on an upswing in the early 00s, that should've encouraged them to fight a bit more. I do agree with the point that you made that ATWT that the show seemed to be ashamed of their past, but I think that was more of a Goutman thing. All the time, I wish CBS/P&G would've stepped in and booted his behind after 2005. They should've did a massive clean up job and cleaned house again after Sheffer left. But you really think GL had scraps of his identity towards the end b/c I didn't. While I loved the show till it's bitter end, I felt it departed from its roots too. The Bauers not being front and center played a pivotal role in that. I always felt they wanted to move the show away from the Bauers much like ATWT wanted to do so with the Hughes. It was like both shows were embarrassed of the 2 families that fans loved and adored for 50+ years. I always felt Howarth was playing Todd-lite instead of Paul. Only time I enjoyed his Paul was when he was with Rosanna. Other than that, I didn't care for the character. Especially, during the PEG era. Pseudo-Paul and pseudo-Meg were the worst.

Well we must remember that Paul was practically a different character when Howarth took over the role. Scott Holroyd was the closest we'd get to Andy Kavovit's Paul. But I too find it odd Paul wouldn't even drop a line about Andy occasionally when their friendship was pivotal to both characters. I skimmed over some 95/96 episodes tonight and while I enjoyed them their original run, knowing what I know now, this show was a mess. The Kasnoff and Snyder clans ate the show up. The Hughes and Lisa got scraps most of the time. You could really tell come about '95 that P&G didn't give a sh-t about any of their last shows. AW, GL, and ATWT were starting to flounder and stray from their themes about that time and it showed. Wow. I didn't know that Greg Watkins was in a serious boating accident before they let him go. I always found it odd how they cast him aside and later did the same with Connor.

Isn't that what a good marriage is--being best friends? Sorry but from watching old episodes on YouTube of Shannon/Duncan along with Jess/Duncan, I have to side with Jess/Duncan. Their relationship seemed equal. They were equal partners in that marriage. With Shannon/Duncan, I always felt Shannon was a damsel and didn't have an identity outside of him. I think Jess added more layers to Duncan. By that you mean we would've gotten a different ending with Jess/Duncan or Duncan/Shannon?

Eduardo should've never existed was the point I was making. Nicholas Coster should've been brought back as John Eldridge. They should've never killed John off previous years to introduce Scott. He should've just lived and then moved to Oakdale with Scott and gradually won back Lisa. While I didn't get to see Shannon before her original run, as it was a bit before my time, I hated her when I started watching. It p*ssed me off to see the Black woman get shafted, honestly. I hated how Jessica had to accept this gracefully as Shannon destroyed her family unit. At times, I wanted Jessica to clock Duncan and Shannon upside the head. I didn't care for Duncan's short return under Sheffer either b/c I still wanted Jessica to chew his a** out even though she had moved on. Duncan left his wife and child for Shannon and still didn't end up with Shannon.- As The World Turns Discussion Thread
While ATWT was on a downturn about this time, I am glad that episodes from '94 is popping up. I started watching around this time as a young child and I didn't find the show to be bad. Seeing as Coster was John Eldridge on Our Private World and Scott popped up a few years back, it would've made so much sense had they not killed John and just brought Coster back in that role. I never cared for Eduardo and felt it was a waste of Coster's talent. Does anyone know if Coster opted to leave the show or if it was a writer's choice? If it was a writer's choice, I always felt that was stupid as Coster was a solid actor, and Lisa desperately needed a companion in the later years of her life. Duke is a character that this show should've brought back. He had that dry sense of humor that John possessed, and we could never have too many doctors on this show. Plus, no one could get under Lucinda's skin like Duke did. Would've been interesting to see how she took to him had he returned in the last decade or so. Poor Jessica. Shannon's return always p*ssed me off as Jessica got shafted for her. On so many levels, I found that to be jacked up. - As The World Turns Discussion Thread
