And she addressed it. I dont know what more they want from her. Its excessive how they keep harping on it despite getting an explanation from Jessel and her husband

    SLC

Angie is such a damn liar. She said she never heard the rumors yet when talking to Shawn, she talked about how he's heard about that stuff for years. I cant with that man crying over the rumors either. They were putting 20 on 10

I hate that they are pinning the rumors on Meredith. She NEVER brought that out on camera nor even said what she knew. She said she's heard things about the husband and that could hae been financial problems for all we know. Whitney is lying on her

Lisa has got to be one o the most self absorbed housewife. Definitely top 3 alongside Ramona and Dorit

Heather needs to see a psychiatrist. She has an unhealthy relationship with religion and is projecting her trauma onto others. Why would Lisa come to her about Jack's mission? Ya'll are not friends and that is HER kid, not yours. She needs to quit bc this aint a battle she will win

I like Monica but she can be too crude. She did not need to keep saying Shawn was f--king other men. She couldnt say slept or hooked up with? And the way she was using those obscenities to her mother around senior citizens? Im no prude but thats too much

Mary was on WWHL and that had to be one of the most awkward yet entertaining episode! Andy asked an audience question "Why did you retun to the show?" Mary said "To help you guys out" LOL! Andy was so shocked and didnt know how to respond to her blunt honesty. She was a trip!

Totally agree it's a no-win situation, but wasn't it interesting that Lisa flipped out about not being invited over to Heather's house, or having Heather support her...yet it's obvious that neither woman is a friend to the other?

The SLC group is one of the least likeable set - they all clearly dislike each other for the most part.

  2. NuRHONY

I've watched this season and I won't be watching next season.

Erin and Sai are miserable and awful people who are clearly targeting Jessel and it is plain old mean girl sh*t. I'm not interested in that.

Jenna could have been added to original recipe RHONY (I think Ubah could have too) and I think it would have worked.

The show is dull and what action there is has been premised on cast members ganging up on someone else's marriage. It feels like a deliberate choice, very produced, and I'm not wasting another season on it.

For those who were worried about where Maria and Bill Jr will rest their weary heads now that Beyonce bought their house, good news, they got a new one.

    im-43618354?width=1299&height=866

They bought Brian Robbins' house for 20 million. That means that they still have 180 million left over from the sale of their Malibu home.  Thank goodness, because the Erewhon in Beverly Hills is selling smoothies for $30 a pop.  So, the Bells will need some pocket money.  Of course, they'll also need to remodel and decorate a bit.  Luckily, they scooped up this pad just as Pottery Barn's Summer Sale begun.  You know Maria, always shopping for a bargain.  She describes the 4,000 square foot mansion as a "jewel box", which should tell you something about the size of presents that Bill Jr buys for Valentine's Day each year. But, I guess the kids are grown, and they only require three bedrooms, (as well as a pied-à-terre in Manhattan, Aspen, and Newport). Finally, it is such good fortune that they sold the art to Jay-Z with the Malibu home, because their modern pieces would clash with the Regency style of their new estate.

BTW, I'm I the only one who still thinks of Brian Robbins as the kid from Head of the Class?  Every time I hear him referenced as the CEO of Paramount, I always picture him in the classroom with Robin Givens.

Couple Who Sold Malibu Mansion to Beyoncé and Jay-Z Pick Up Beverly Hills Pad for $20.1 Million - Mansion Global

This gives some interiors from when the home was last restored. The view from the pool of Century City is picture perfect. A very tasteful home:

  4. I've watched all of Louise Sorel's run. It was too short for me, as a fan, but if that's the kind of schedule she would commit to, I'll take it. They certainly did not waste a single episode she was in.

This Teresa recasting is so bizarre and seems spiteful on the part of the former producer.

Writing out Gwen, right as she starts to thrive as a character, is frustrating. And all of this sacrificing being done at the alter of Leo, a character who should have been a 6 week arc at best. Hopefully changes behind the scenes will dictate his exit because it feels like he's swallowing the show and he's odious.

The Maggie/Alex scenes made sense to me. There have long been widows who want to run their late husband's company, without any background to do so, because they see it as the husband's legacy.

  5. RHOC

Whew, the first episode of the reunion was an ugly look for Tamra and Shannon.

Tamra shut up real quick when Jen shot back that Tamra cheated on Simon with Eddie after Tamra screamed at her for being a cheater. We all may have forgotten that tidbit, so thank you, Jen, for bringing it back to light. Tamra is no better than anyone and how dare she assert any kind of moral authority.

Shannon is a terrible person. Her nonsense about "I don't remember saying that" is proof positive she's a sloppy drunk and her friends like Jeff Lewis are doing her no favours by enabling her alcoholic behaviour. But we only have to look at the 'medical team' Shannon has surrounded herself with to see that all she wants are sycophants around her. That Shannon isn't already in inpatient rehab tells me she has no interest in changing her ways.

Emily took hits against everyone except Jen and Gina, and all of them landed well.

Taylor is obviously a one and done. When Andy said "it was so nice to see her happy ending" that felt like the kiss of death in the Godfather.

Jen stood up for herself and did OK. She would have been better off keeping her story/timeline straight, but whatever, she knows that Tamra is simply using her for a storyline.

Heather was staying calm and collected because she knows it's the most effective strategy against Tamra and Shannon.

Gina won the reunion. The internet is with her. The "what are the names of my children" was the most lethal wound I have seen Shannon take on a reunion because it demonstrated what a self absorbed [!@#$%^&*] she is. Gina had every right to scream at Shannon because Shannon is shameless and could excuse any action so needs her feet held to the fire.

If it's really only temporary it seems designed simply to teach Jen Lilley and others who might want to step out of line a lesson, when Lilley no longer needs the soaps. It also smacks of the same ego and contempt for the audience which has already led them to recast key roles with performers who are already onscreen playing others multiple times now, like the revolving Kristens and the Ben/Alex games. All of the above seems on brand for Alarr, and to an extent Ron who helped start this at GH.

It's also obvious from Lilley's comments that they'd intended to bluff her into signing long-term when she first offered to come back to honor Aniston, and when they couldn't do it they reacted out of spite.

That sounds very much like what happened. I think Jen Lilley's People Magazine article is very classy and kind. She's right that Emily O'Brien drew the shortest straw.

Sorry to hear about Gayle's passing. She was also a very known pulp/B-movie actress for years.

Gayle played an English aristocrat on Dallas and she ended up a real one when her longtime husband was knighted. Born Gayle Hunnicutt, she died Gayle, Lady Jenkins.

@Cat, do you know if they are reviving Melbourne or still moving ahead with the Gold Coast show? Personally, I think they should do both and revive Auckland, which should've never cancelled. I still hate how Auckland didn't at least get a reunion.

Regarding Potomac, that trailer was BORING. It didn't show enough of Robyn being held to the fire. I don't care for Nneka v. Wendy to see who is the most supreme Nigerian princess. I am over Ashley v. Candiace in regards to Michael. And why do they keep trying to make Charrisse happen? I am going to say it until I am blue in the face, Potomac is going to get back on track until Monique comes back and we truly resolve what happened in season 5.

I agree @Faulkner and @NothinButAttitude - that was a really boring trailer. Whenever they add 'humour' in the form of strange editing or kitsch, I get nervous we're going to have a bad season.

So...can we talk about the individual shots (not Cha Cha's picture either...ugh)...cuz THEY ATE. Collectively AND individually.

    ESPECIALLY La Dame and Candiace!!!

They all look amazing...but Karen is another level of fabulous. Best she's ever looked.

    SLC

Mary literally came back to say I hate these women and not participate and it’s the most hilarious thing ever.

Angie K is so damn thirsty, it’s pathetic.

Monica has to stop whining about being broke when she wouldn’t be broke if she didn’t [!@#$%^&*] her brother in law for 18 months.

Mary is totally loathsome. Lazy, demanding, and foul tempered. However, it's hilarious because she seems to get along well with production and whatever deal they cut, everyone is in agreement. Going to McDonalds while the rest of them sweated it out in the Palm Springs bar in full drag makeup? Perfection.

Angie K is a loser and Little Girl is right behind her in the pathetic sweepstakes. Little Girl is looking for conflict wherever she can find it and none of it is logical.

Lisa having a meltdown about her makeup was something to behold.

  10. nuRHONY

Holy sh*t Erin jumped the shark tonight. She is a younger, dumber, more entitled, and less hard working Ramona. The white fragility is strong with this one.

She was literally crying to her father that Ubah confronting her was the "meanest" thing she's ever experienced. And THEN she talks about the childhood trauma of having a "long jaw" and being called "Long Jaw Silver" in school...this woman hasn't experienced anything bad in her life. Nothing. She really thought she was going to garner sympathy with all of that?

Little Girl has responded very, very defensively.

So the thirsty never-was that was Jennie decides (while SLC is currently airing) to show up at Whitney's event with her own camera crew?? I'm shocked Little Girl didn't have security escort her out. I get that in the moment she probably didn't know how to react, but im not sure I would have agreed to a photo. Because we all know a photo preserves that moment in time for posterity.

I saw the 'trailer' for RHOSydney. I have thoughts. First of all, that trailer showed so little of the season that I have to hope another, fuller, better trailer will be forthcoming. Because this peek gave me no incentive to watch.

Secondly, all they could get of the old guard was Krissy Marsh (who did some solid RH work, it has to be said) and her silent BFF Nicole? What about the three MVPs of S1 -- Victoria, Athena X and Lisa?? OK so Lisa was probably despised because she was trolling the cast the whole time, and Athena was legitimately batsh!t, but Victoria wasn't available? I'm surprised they didn't bring at least one of those three to the reboot.

Thirdly....I miss my Melbourne ladies! A franchise like Sydney is 100% missing a Janet or a Gamble.

    Little Girl...

    spacer.png

The thing is Little Girl is legitimately stupid. Sure, desperado Jennie showed up, but the correct response is pay her dust!

I think RH of Sydney will be a bust. Krissy was a nobody bitch in the first iteration. Lisa is the one I would have loved to see back because she was so consistent in undermining all the other women. She drove them insane. In hindsight, Lisa was right about all of them. Athena X was literally insane, so I'm cool with not having her back.

RH of Melbourne needs to return so badly, with the OG's Janet and Gina - absolute Real Housewives icons...who knows what will happen. Janet hosted a lunch for several of them and the executive producers back in April...

  12. SLC

Great episode. Riveting from start to finish.

Mary is a totally loathsome human being, but she's perfect as a Friend Of, casting her socially awkward judgments against anyone who crosses her path. I howled when she asked Heather, mid heave, what Whitney called her and Heather managed to croak out "predator" as Mary went hilariously ballistic on her.

Meredith has to be on pills. She became unhinged during that dinner with 5 or 6 different accents.

Monica calling out Lisa's whining about losing her "60 G" ring (she overpaid) was so welcome.

Lisa enduring that outfit Meredith put her in was gutsy. It was so tacky.

Heather puking in the van. So gross. So tacky. So real. That outfit was so butch and horrible.

I don't know what Little Girl and Angie think they were doing by being such bitches on this trip...they are not endearing themselves to the audience or their cast mates.

In total denial. Shannon hasn't been right with her drinking since she joined RHOC, but it definitely intensified after the affair came out.

Neighborhood ring-cams have the footage. I really wish she had Ubered if she had been drinking.

The speed and sloppiness of that driving speaks volumes. She careened around the corner and was clearly wasted.

Two things can be true at the time.

I can have empathy for the fact that Shannon is clearly an alcoholic whose life is out of control.

I can also believe that she is a total as$hole who deserves every unkind thing sent her way given 1) her reckless disregard for the lives of innocent people by driving drunk and 2) the sanctimonious attitude she's displayed towards Gina.

Jeff Lewis was making comments yesterday saying that Shannon is not an alcoholic and that kind of enabling is only going to further destroy her. Shannon needs inpatient rehab. There is only one route for her and that is sobriety. If she does not choose that route, I fear a dark end for her.

Yikes -- Shannon booked for a DUI.

(And Archie was apparently in the car with her).

I have two distinct opinions on this:

    1. How sad. She has been a mess for years and clearly has a problem with alcohol and has been in denial. She needs to go to long term inpatient rehab; and

    2. Perhaps now Shannon can stop being so sanctimonious about Gina given she's topped her with a hit and run on top of the DUI. I hope she's held onto her lawyer's card.

  15. Like @Cat I sometimes noticed the manic energy in his performance as Billy on Y&R. Life imitating art. He was way too young to go. I hope he found the peace that eluded him.

This year has been truly awful for the daytime community: Jackie Zeman, Andrea Evans, and now Billy Miller.

Courtney is evil and Drew would have been justified in pulling a Porsha on her. Bravo was smart to have them on seperate couches

Absolutely. I really found Courtney hard to stomach.

The BravBros podcast has a theory about Courtney and Ralph: they hooked up. I can see it.

Also, Drew's dress had to be the least flattering thing I've seen a housewife wear in a long time. Her singing *at* him was cringe and hilarious and tough to watch and just...all of it. They should absolutely divorce because it's an unhealthy marriage that will never, ever, recover.

  17. RHOA Reunion Part 1

Really boring...except for Sheree explaining why she looks so different. She had a nose job. Honestly, what a mistake. Who has their nose made rounder? It's likely still swollen, noses take around 1 year to reach their final destination, but my goodness, not the choice I would have made.
