  1. An episode for Katherine the Great week... When Katherine throws her glass of vodka and breaks her mirror. I'd love to see that full scene again!
  2. You're most welcome. Jeanne's entire Archive of American Television Interview is excellent and it's three hours long. Jeanne, unlike some interviewees, is totally candid and loves to expand on topics, dish, and have an opinion. https://interviews.televisionacademy.com/interviews/jeanne-cooper
  3. Absolutely. Y&R was always a cut above visually. They spent an enormous amount of money on the sets and it showed. I'll leave it to the Jeanne to explain how Y&R elevated daytime:
  4. I loved all of your choices too - I really hope we see a few of them during Katherine the Great week. Y&R is making a very, very smart decision and should keep these theme weeks with old favourites going.
  5. "And the man is magic, isn't he? The way he talks, the way he acts, the way he makes you believe in him, THE WAY HE MAKES YOU CARE ABOUT HIM!" - I would pay good money to see that scene again. I feel that's what Jess came into her own as Jill and never looked back. They NEED to do a Best of Jill week. I'd throw in these classics: 1. Phillip dies (1989): "This is your fault. It's always been your fault. First, the father and now, the son!" 2. Jill vs. Mamie (1996): "You mean the bitch, don't you?" 3. Jill vs Kay in the attic (1998) 4. Jill sleeps with Victor (1990) 5. Jill runs to stop Mackenzie and Billy's wedding (2003)
  6. I think that's a fair observation and I think Bill Bell found that inspiration again with Jess Walton. He wrote her to two Emmys (including the show's first win for Lead Actress) and played to her ferocious strengths.
  7. I suspect it was a few factors: 1. Adair was booking primetime roles in the 1980s and probably didn't want to be tied down; 2. Adair married Chip Hayes and may have wanted to start a family (when she and Hayes eventually adopted their children in 1995, she retired from the business entirely); 3. Walton was clearly happily committed to daytime and her transition from Capitol to Y&R required no accommodation.
  8. A class act if there ever was one.
  9. RHONY "And then you die and you catch some d*ck on the way." - Sonja Morgan. Give her an Emmy. What a line. This episode was a lot of fun even though basically nothing happened of any consequence. It felt easy breezy and organic with the women bonding at the winery and Lu "taking care of her neck"...and then that evening party. That was a riot of hilarity. Obviously, that short rich guy just wants to offload the house and this was a way to promote it, but Sonja's descent into booze was hilarious - especially because she rallies so effectively the next morning. It really is incredible.
  10. The demo was 0.4 compared to this week's Vanderpump Rules with a demo of 0.6...
  11. They literally had LVP's voice playing over Rinna putting on that crown. Like the kind of flashback voiceover that they'd do on Y&R between Kay and Jill. I could hardly believe it. Rinna literally has no storyline, and hasn't for years, so I wonder where she's meant to be headed this season.
  12. Okay so I watched RHOBH. It's quarantine. I was desperate. I was underwhelmed at alleged huge "iconic" last few minutes were. None of that surprised me at all. But I'm here to see Denise win and come out swinging. Are we at all surprised that Erotika Lame was a stripper? I'm not. And I don't fault her at all for it. She should have embraced this part of her story a long, long time ago. The tension between Dorit and Kyle was palpable and I actually liked/agreed with everything Dorit said about Kyle slapping her name on a fashion line. Kyle is still the whiney drama queen that she's always been. I pitied that fashion show producer having to deal with Kyle's histrionics. I loved seeing a glimpse of Faye. I liked Garcelle as well - anyone who doesn't like Kyle has a sterling quality in my book. Stratton...hmm...in my opinion, which is not based in fact and therefore cannot give rise to a claim for defamation, she has a drinker's gut. The stomach on her with those skeletal arms. Rinna and the crown...I totally agree with @NothinButAttitude production, had they been smart, would have not mentioned LVP even once. But she looms large over this show.
  13. I cannot wait for Potomac.
  14. I didn't notice The Morally Corrupt Faye Resnick in the trailer...this is the most tempting thing to tune back in that I've seen.
  15. The tattoo thing was amusing to me because it showed their inherent snobbery. RHONY is excellent as usual. I can watch and laugh with and at them and it's the kind of good time we need during the circumstances we find ourselves in.
  16. I think it comes down to a few factors... 1. Nene and Kim were friends before they were famous and before RHoATL was a glimmer in Andy Cohen's eye. They have history based in real friendship. 2. Nene and Kim were involved with their respective children. If someone loves your children and is good to them, a part of you will love them forever. 3. When it comes right down to it, and in the circumstances we find ourselves in, it's safe to say that very few of the housewives are actually bad people, they have their sh*t (and don't we all?) and time heals a lot of wounds.
  17. Jackie came into her own on camera in her late 30s and 40s and beyond. The very few acting roles she did seemed awkward - she lacked the presence that Joan always had onscreen.
  18. RHONY was just what I needed. Loved every minute of it. Lu joyfully dancing with the drag queen was feel good in these troubled times. Sonja continues to be hilarious. Ramona wailing that she wants a man to hold her was like a Tennessee Williams moment. Leah is going to fit in seamlessly. Dorinda went had for Tinsley out of the gate and I didn't mind it at all.
  19. My wish list: 1992: Katherine and Jill's courthouse catfight; 1995(?): Jill and Mamie fight about John: "You mean the bitch, don't you?"; 1998: Katherine and Jill's attic catfight; 1998: Jill crashes Katherine's 4th of July party and announces she owns the mansion; 1999: The Takeover; 2000: Tricia accidentally kills Tony; and 2001: Diane and Nikki's catfight in the Jabot boardroom.
  20. They all look like hell except for Denise. Sorry Garcelle, but she doesn't look great. It's kind of shocking to see how much Kyle has changed over the years. And not for the better.
  21. Morgan is a good, old fashioned, nice person. In addition to that, she's a very intelligent, and well informed, person who clearly cares about the broader world around her.
  22. Absolutely. RHOP's Monique showed pregnancy cannot be used as an excuse. Eva hasn't brought anything to ATL the entirety of her run.
  23. Is Nene wrong though? Eva brings nothing at all to the show and Marlo and Tanya have brought WAY more this season.
  24. Dame Joan doing her bit while on Covid-19 lockdown in London:
  25. Oh, I'm hoping they just post a decent arc - like Jill vs Katherine for the Chancellor mansion from 1998 or The Takeover from 1999.
