  1. Give the recurring vets a few more episodes a year each off his salary.
  2. I'm not so sure on Mary's innocence but I have always disliked Lisa Barlow. She is totally nasty and unlikeable and has been from season one.
  3. Dame Joan Collins has released a memoir of sorts in the UK titled My Unapologetic Diaries which start in 1989 right as Dynasty ends, til around 2006 when she does the theatre tour of Legends! with Linda Evans. By the mid 1990s Joan is back on the Hollywood social scene and she discusses how her contemporaries like Michele Lee and Donna Mills, who'd both done really well with TV Movies at the start of the 90s, no longer get their calls returned. From around 1994 - 2000 Joan is hustling for as many parts as she can get and a million things are pitched, she has a ton of meetings, the networks love her, and most of it materializes to absolutely nothing. One of the juicier periods of time concerns when she's doing Pacific Palisades and all the crazy bullsh*t that goes on behind the scenes. For one, Joan hates the scripts and it's generally accepted that the show is not going to be a hit, but when she appears midway through the season, ratings tick up, but later crater when Fox starts moving the show on and off the schedule after it starts having to compete with Ellen right as Ellen herself comes out. What emerges is that Joan gets along well with Peter Dunne, a former producer on Dallas, Knots Landing, Savannah, and later Melrose Place, CSI, and JAG, and throughout the book you discover that Joan is friends with a lot of producers in different genres, probably much more so than most actors. She also notes how friendly the Pacific Palisades cast is to her, especially Lucky Vanous who ends up asking around if Joan is single (she's not and she suspects he wants to hook up for publicity). She knows and likes Finola Hughes from a movie they both made pre-Dynasty, and she likes Kimberly Davies who plays her daughter in the show. Joan dishes about how badly put together the production schedule is and how intrusive FOX is in running the production, demonstrating that Spelling's power has faded. Nolan Miller does Joan's costumes and they decide to dress the character in only black and white. There's a good story about Nolan designing a dress for Joan but she secretly thinks it makes her look fat, so she switches it for a Valentino from her own wardrobe at the last minute, and Nolan is momentarily pissed off with her. Then there's Aaron Spelling. To hear Joan tell it, Aaron Spelling was very inconsistent: sometimes he'd be warm: he says "My baby is back with me!" when she agrees to join the show, and then other times he's cold: Spelling tells her he'll pay her $45,000 an episode while at dinner at Spago with Candy, Joan, and Nolan Miller, then the next day tells her agent he's only paying $40,000 and denies he'd agreed to $45,000. All the while, Spelling's insisted that Joan sign with CAA, who had previously told her they weren't interested, and it turns out CAA is the agency packaging the show, so has an obvious conflict of interest in dealing with Joan and dealing with Spelling and the production company. This manifests when the production company tells Joan they'll only pay her half her salary for an episode where she's only got two scenes, and Aaron doesn't step in, and her agents tell her to take it because they want to protect her relationship with Aaron Spelling, which is also their relationship with Aaron Spelling. Joan observes that the Spellings can't hold onto a chef to save their lives, that Candy can't figure out how to work their VCR, and that Tori Spelling's breast implants look hard as a rock. I certainly got the impression that Joan was uneasy around Candy Spelling and felt sorry for Tori and Randy. When Pacific Palisades is cancelled, Joan is thrilled and she says it has cured her of wanting to be a permanent cast member in a Hollywood television series and she eventually decides to move back to England and only come to LA if jobs materialize or she wants some sun. I definitely developed the opinion that Joan doesn't actually like living in LA and really did it to make money so she could go back to Europe and live her life.
  4. Look at Bravo leaving another ugly Erika moment on the cutting room floor. The outtakes of her this season must be bone chilling. Exactly. This could have been a two part reunion without any of the filler. Erika just continued to deflect and evade any of the hard hitting questions. It's pretty clear the majority of the cast is in cahoots and only Garcelle, Sutton, and perhaps Crystal, are willing to call matters as they see them. One thing that really irked me was Erika constantly calling the victims the "alleged victims"...No. The poor guy who suffered the catastrophic burns to his body is not an alleged victim. He sued Tom for stealing his settlement funds and WON and has a judgment against Tom. There is nothing alleged about it.
  5. To my knowledge, she's never mentioned him publicly and her NBC bio only mentions her children with her husband, the makeup artist Nick Schillace (Zach, who was on B&B as a baby, and Kate) and she had them both when she was in her 30s. Her biography notes she went to and graduated from college, though she transferred from the University of Massachusetts to Virginia State University, so perhaps she had him then, or when she was younger.
  6. Lauren Koslow has announced that she has been reunited with her firstborn, Josh, who she hadn't seen since he was three days old. They found each other via an Ancestry DNA test:
  7. It is as if Robyn wants to punish Juan for however he performed as a dad when he was in the NBA. It's actually quite ridiculous given the length of time and that she purports to be in love with him and care about him: she should have moved on a long time ago. However, it seems like she's keeping score and constantly after him. I would expect most to be expats from the UK or America. Lebanon would not surprise me. If they have managed to secure a local woman from the Emerite, I hope the family pressure she faces is not too grave. I find publicizing Dubai a bit hypocritical given that Bravo is one of the more open networks and Dubai is notoriously anti women and anti LGBTQIA2.
  8. Ladies of London was a Housewives franchise in all but name. Due to NBC Universal having a rights deal with Monkey Kingdom, which produces RH of Cheshire, Bravo couldn't title it as a Housewives franchise. Dawn Ward filming with Caroline Stanbury is interesting. There is virtually no chance that this will be a diverse franchise for all the reasons @Cat explained. Andy describing it as a 'great group of friends' implies it'll be whoever Stanbury is friends with and that will most certainly be solely expats, not unlike Ladies of London.
  9. RHOP I can't with Gizelle not allowing her life to be on this show and telling producers it's none of their business. Ma'am, you are on a reality show. How dare she think she is above disclosing her life when she forces the issue on everyone else. What a hypocrite. Gizelle might be 'good TV' in that she'll create moments, but she has now storyline and when you don't have a storyline, it's time to go. As well, her comments about Karen's vow renewal and that all that's left between Ray and Karen is a friendship...bitch only wishes she had that. Wendy is trying very hard but I like that Eddie humours her and seems game for her OTT behaviour. As well, she is harmless. Mia was an afterthought this episode and it was interesting to see Gordon on good behaviour. He was very complimentary to Karen. Robyn is as boring as watching paint dry. Who is she kidding with Juan and having another baby. How about focusing on your two children and being financially stable for their sake? Ashley understands the assignment and doesn't have a problem making an ass out of her husband as the situation requires. Michael is very uncomfortable on camera in group settings but she gets him there to watch him squirm just a little bit. Candiace is so inappropriate with her emotions I am sick of her. Her mother, for a therapist, sure has a few dysfunctional relationships. Karen's vow renewal was lavish and tasteful. She looked a million bucks in that dress and she seemed very genuinely happy. RHSLC The facade continues to crumble for Lisa Barlow. How did she think it would look slating Whitney to Jen Shah, while simultaneously not inviting Jen to her son's charity party but inviting Whitney. Lisa thinks she's a good chess player but that was a rookie error. Heather continues to be made of win with her story of being a companion for a little person on a booze cruise. That was hilarious. She has an easy chemistry with Meredith and I like seeing them together. Jenny wasn't in this episode aside from a Science Saturday scene with her adorable daughter. Do we think there's any chance she was originally a FOH but was upgraded once they knew Jen Shah would likely scale back filming after her arrest? The scene with Jen and Stewart was chilling. It was obvious they were discussing the very same 'business' that's landed both of them in scalding hot legal water. It's sad to see what's become of Whitney's father. She tried very hard with him. Meredith's scene with Mary's former preacher was chilling. Lisa obviously set that up and it's clear she's going to be gunning for Mary. There may be good reason for that. While I acknowledge Mary can be 'good TV' with how out there she is...I also find her unbalanced and unhinged and very harsh. The way she told the story of marrying Robert Sr. and that her mother wanted to in order to receive all of the grandmother's estate...it was cutthroat and I am surprised Mary sees nothing wrong with essentially cutting her own mother out of an inheritance.
  10. How are they acting?
  11. La Lucci would not be happy on RHONY...apparently she and her daughter Liza no longer speak, and I can only imagine RHONY would exploit that for all it's worth.
  12. On last night's reunion episode Dorit boldly said she owns 'every piece' of clothing she wears on the show. Obviously, if this home invasion is legitimate, that is terrifying and horrendous and based on the photographs I've seen, there was a ladder set up against one of the walls surrounding the home, and the glass door to a ground floor room was smashed. However, that any of us even have to question the legitimacy of this speaks to their past burglary and the murky nature of it.
  13. I did too. I think Krista will do well on the show and look forward to seeing her take on Taylor.
  14. Krista is the same age as Denise Richards, 3 years younger than Rena Sofer, and 10 years younger than KKL so it will be interesting to see how she fits in, visually because she's going to look a lot younger than Thorsten Kaye in a way KKL does not. All to say, Krista has been working constantly, in a lot of B list projects with a few A list guest shots, for many years, so B&B is a soft landing for her. Tylo is either independently wealthy or totally insane to turn the show down. The relationship has seemed quite acrimonious for a while, but I've long wondered if she was tolerated, rather than valued, ever since she left to go to Melrose Place, sued Aaron Spelling, and returned immediately.
  15. SLC That's how I feel about Lisa Barlow as well. She was not ready for Mary. I am fascinated to see what happens with Mary, Lisa, and the guy saying it's a cult. Jennie...ugh, I'm going to hold off on passing too much judgment on her given the timing of the tubing and when she lost her child, but that husband of hers...calling himself a physician? Dude, you are a chiropractor. You are not a physician. Heather made me laugh when she chest bumped with Jenn. That is the most likeable Jenn has been...ever. POTOMAC I am enjoying Ashley a lot this season. G is not used to dealing with a woman whose not going to take his crap. He had it coming. He and Mia are not very bright, so when Mia was mispronouncing 'Altheimers' I had to laugh. The Grande Dame's butterfly invitations also had me laughing, especially with Juan and Robyn as Juan tried to get back inside. Overall, a bit of a filler episode as we ramp up to next week's finale, but this season has been flawlessly executed. Lots of light shade, some more nasty drama, but nothing that the cast, as a whole, can't come back from.
  16. Just looked up the cigarette story...indeed that's a low thing to say about someone and when used as a weapon ignores the fact that it appears like abuse and/or sexual assault. @Catis so right. This is a Pandora's Box.
  17. He is such a riddle to me. He's either an absolute prince or Brooks Ayers 2.0 and it's nearly impossible to tell.
  18. Indeed, they have. They've lifted the veil and what we see underneath, from a production standpoint, is what many of us suspected and disliked: obvious favoritism, scripting, and collusion. Andy's attitude towards the HW is also evident: he doesn't care about these women at all and he thinks he made them all. People like Radziwill and LVP are obviously not going to accept that given they had major success before HW.
  19. "His life is over. He's in his 80s. He's in a memory care facility. His career is over and done. I just turned 50. I cannot allow all of this to destroy me and take me to a place that I cannot recover. I have to survive this. So that's why I'm feisty." That's probably the realest thing she's said all season.
  20. RHONY Ramona and Carole have exposed Bethenny as orchestrating the Tom at the Regency 'Don't Let It Be About Tom' moment:
  21. LOL I keep wondering when she’s going to poke her eye out with that triangle.
  22. It was a rainy day so I watched all 5 episodes consecutively today. Overall, I enjoyed it as the cheesy fun that is DAYS. The difference was the pacing - this show had zero filler and went at breakneck speed. It amazes me that Eileen returns to Y&R time and again for Ashley, a somewhat thankless character at times, when she can come to DAYS and inhabit Kristen and positively come alive. It is very interesting to see just how differently she plays the two characters. The ending with Deidre Hall karate chopping her way to safety was hilarious. So hilarious I watched it three times. Zach Tinker was a huge upgrade for Sonny. His intensity was jarring compared to how that character had been played in the past. He's also a very good on camera cryer. Billy Flynn was a highlight for me. He was very funny. Greg Rikaart is shockingly fun in the role of Leo while I can't stand him on Y&R. He clearly had a blast playing those scenes. Austin Peck had a relaxed, fun quality to his performance. It was good to see him. Rinna has destroyed herself on RHOBH but she was fun to watch as Billie.
  23. POTOMAC That's a rare misstep for Karen. Not her best. Gizelle is consistent - she always looks comical. Robyn's dress is as boring as she is. Candy-Ass tried, Mia looks bizarre, Wendy is OTT. Ashley wins the style stakes by a country mile. She looks fabulous. OC Why do we not have cameras on Vicki for this moment?! I just knew Steve was horrendous. His Republican ass running for governor while sleeping around on Vicki.
  24. She’s overdone the lip filler and lined them with lip liner like an adult film star from 1997. It’s a very specific Night at the Roxbury colour combination…MAC Spice lip pencil is what it reminds me of. Lu looks like she isn’t wearing any makeup and is very natural, Cynthia looks flawless, Kyle looks like she has a black eye (damn shadows showing the truth!) and Ramona looks filtered to the hilt.
