I've lost count of the number of stories that have had Tracy in a significant role and then they've been "cut/gutted". I wish she would moonlight, then at least we would have a chance at seeing JE's work (and without the character assassination that seems to be a constant with Tracy).

Looks like there's no LuNacy follow-up. Dumb, dumb, dumb...

I do feel for NP. He started on the show with almost exclusive time acting with TG and JE, then they brought in JMB and others - all of whom were noteworthy actors of one level or another. Then he moved into a really decent story with LA, BB, the abuse and some fun mob stuff. But the last year it's been horrible stuff for both NP and LA, and then to end his tenure like this? Very sad indeed.

I think there will be more Tracy on Monday - it's a rather odd place to leave them otherwise. But with this team who knows, they are not as bad as GW for leaving things hanging, but it's still pretty bad. As for the opening, there are also a lot of people on it that are no longer on GH. I have a feeling the OLTL people will be the replacements, not JE. Once again a writing team misses their heavy weights for the same tired SaSon obsession. The difference seems this time around Carly has been a victim of that too, so the Unholy Trinity seems to have been reduced to the Disfunctioning Duo.

From what I recall…. Tracy and Ethan did NOT get a farewell scene Luke and Tracy shared their first scene (not even engaging yet) since he slapped her on the butt about a month ago Luke lied to Robert, Anna and Helena about Ethan (only Holly, Lulu, Ethan and Luke know the truth - Ethan IS a Spencer) Opening has been badly edited and it's only the "stars" (which tells you how Jane rates) Ethan is on the run or off doing his thing with Robert looking for him Since I don't watch the show with any sense of regularity, I could be wrong on the finer points of Ethan's departure.

^^ yup. I just hope the writers resist "Tracy the Shrew" and come up with something a little more mature.

Well, today we had the "Luke makes Tracy jealous", without even trying. I'm relieved to see they are keeping the LuNacy connection alive. It's a much better pairing because few are actually supporters of Luke's love for Tracy, so it comes with it's own tension. I just catch the occasional Tracy scenes on YT, but was noticing the opening. Has Tracy been put back in the opening even once since they shortened it to almost nothing?

I'm not worried in the least that they will do Luke and Anna. In all honestly TG doesn't have romantic chemistry with very many people, but he's got great friend chemistry across the board, and that's what will happen with Luke and Anna.

There are a lot of available Q's if he wanted them. The Alan Quartermaines might have been killed, but the Tracy Quartermaines are alive and well. Ned, Dillon and Brook could all return and shift the balance in the family. Then Jason and Michael would at least have someone their generation to play with. Not to mention Skye (though I don't consider her a real Q), and then there's Celia and whomever a writer wants to create with her.

I think it's all "hurry up and wait", and I also think someone along the way nixed the original idea for a LnL reunion, thus stopping KS's Scotty from returning (who was rumoured to bring "news of Laura") and now he's refocusing on what he's got rather than what he wants. Either way, as long as Luke and Tracy are in each other's orbits, I'll stick around for a while. They are the dynamic duo of this show and I wish some i-dot in charge would finally put that together and showcase them.

Good to know. Spoiler I liked in the IL with a whole host of others that sound like what we've been hearing - Luke still wants Tracy. Good enough. Hopefully this will mean that her story becomes interesting because right now I've got no interest in any of it. Couldn't care less about the goings-on around Robin. Sounds like TPTB butchered if completely.

Now that makes complete sense - and is a comment that some would take to the extreme of interpretation. I might just have to watch the Tracy/Edward stuff. Monica looking bad isn't hard to do, but Tracy is usually written to match. Sounds great that they are writing her better in this situation. EDIT - saw a clip someone edited about just the Q's, and it was very nice. Can Monica leave town now please?

Tracy was probably one of the few that didn't see Robin as a saint (aside from Carly of course, lol), and while that would hardly qualify as "Tracy doesn't life Robin", the pea-brains on most soap boards aren't that sophisticated in their analysis.

New spoiler - talking points or something. Says Luke makes Tracy jealous. I don't care how it happens at this point, just have them together emoting TOGETHER!

I wish they'd just hurry up about it. Even seeing his name associated with Tracy's gives me the creeps and I wonder if she is going to be in real mortal danger soon.

Perhaps more than once a week. Insiders are quite adamant that one day's taping could be for 1-4 days of viewing, so we won't know until we actually see them. I just hope the blinders come off the current writers and they start to see the power of the TG/JE pairing. Unfortunately most of these writers are so caught up in their own fanfic drama that they rarely look up to see what many viewers get a chance to see, and that's powerful chemistry from unexpected sources. (It would also help if they realized all this ground swell of Tracy/AZ support is actually primarily LnLers who think with Tracy removed Luke has no other options…. which is true, but it's still not about Tracy, isn't about breaking up LuNacy.) At least she's working - that's good to hear. I'll wait to see if the content makes me interested in watching.

The new writer has a narrow view that is even narrower than the past regime and believes bringing back old characters is the way to go. I didn't watch GL, but Cynthia on AMC was my least favourite of her characters. I love Tracy Quartermaine-Spencer but I really enjoyed Anjelica Deveraux. Now THAT is a return on Days I would tune in for.

^^ The problems with "steeped in history" with this genre is that they don't see what's right in front of their face. They can easily review history without having to revisit the old war horses. For actors who drop in for brief visits, it makes sense for their fanbase to believe the characters are living "happily ever after" off screen (like GH did with L&L for a long time), but when a character is a daily part of the canvas it's horrible story telling to have them stuck in an old relationship because it completely limits what they are capable of. Why any writer is so short sighted is beyond me…. …. but the expectations of L&L have been haunting us from day one and it has yet to be actually realized. I'm not going to put a fork in it until I truly have no other choice.

They've shown that Luke is totally in love with Tracy as well. Who knows. The taping schedule from what I understand, is all over the place. What we see on the screen is the only thing to go by.

I'm just about to call it a day regardless. The things that interest me in a show are disappearing and I am starting to see that no matter how many think a writer is good or not good (no one can please everyone all the time), there just isn't enough reason to spend my time looking for the nuggets. Days destroyed itself for me and I haven't seen anything that tells me GH will be any better. Moments of great performances don't change an overarching problem.
