  1. Maybe she said more but all I heard her say was "it's in God's hands". For a soap opera written to reflect the Black community there are going to be some religious references here and there. That said, you don't have to be married to ask someone if they are sure that they want to give up on their marriage.
  2. Leslie saved Ted from being used. Nicole was not going to forgive him, she would have slept with him and then gave him the same "it's over" answer afterwards. That's why Nicole said the fire alarm saved her from making a mistake. Not that Leslie was right for pulling that stunt. Not sure who Vernon was on the phone with, but I guess the Duprees haven't had their full of secrets yet.
  3. It might not be a hint of anything to come, but Malachi Malik (Elon) posted a picture with Trisha Mann-Grant at a film festival. Leslie and Elon would be an interesting pairing and Leslie certainly needs to let go of Ted. Elon is unscrupulous enough for her too.
  4. What I appreciate that BTG has done is develop the characters. The amount of storyline told thus far has been copious and it has paid off in terms of development.
  5. A run and jump is a dangerous idea. I thought that whole scene was just hilarious.
  6. That's right it was something else now that I think back. I was thinking of the dinner she made Tomas at her parents house and Eva tried to get her in trouble for leaving dirty dishes.
  7. Somehow Leslie pulling the fire alarm was such a classic soap move. Petty and hilarious. Bill talking about Dani pushing Andre's baby in a stroller goes to show how unnerved he is. And Naomi borderline encouraging his meddling by suggesting a post-nup was ridiculous. Kat missed her mother's awards ceremony to be with Tomas and now she missed her brother's wedding for Tomas.
  8. Hayley was really pissed off that Bill was kissing Dani and that is driving her to be sloppy with speeding up her plan. Since she seemingly scammed other men with no competition from any other women it was a blow to her ego for her not to have all of Bill's attention and devotion.
  9. Naomi likely won't have to worry about a baby courtesy of her former friend Hayley.
  10. If you consider how quickly Nicole embraced Eva and how willing Chelsea was to extend Eva enough grace to consider her a cousin post reveal it's obvious that the Duprees are supposed to be the embracing type. Hayley portraying herself as having no family would have been a quick, easy in with them.
  11. Ashtray (Andre/Ashley) is a supercouple pet project that was pushed from the start, but it's not working. More positive response might give the writers incentive to elevate Andre/Dani more. Instead of gravitating towards Bill/Dani eventually, the story should progress toward Bill knowing what it feels like to be on the outside. He threw away everything and damaged his relationship with his daughters for a scammer. And he is a schemer so of course there would be room for him to try and break up Andre and Dani's marriage.
  12. That was a whole atomic bomb. Hindsight is 20/20 and I can fully see now how fake Hayley has always been with Bill. That waitress outfit looked like it was off the last clearance at Party City, but that fits perfect with Leslie.
  13. MVJ said that they have a plan and are not just making it up as they go along which is indicative that this direction for Hayley was the intention all along.
  14. Hayley finally unleashed the hood and from what it sounds like she's going to really go for jugular. From her being aggressive with Andre at the beginning to her meeting up with Cuz Randy, this is the boldest that Hayley has been. Vanessa is so easily manipulated.
  15. That song sounds like it is from 1987. Maybe that's the point, though.
  16. He had a son with Angie Stone and I cannot imagine the sort of grief he is feeling right now over losing both parents in the same year.
  17. Leslie has probably met her match with June. Both are from less than charmed background and June probably can be a fighter if she needs to be. Naomi really wants someone to validate her feelings before she makes a decision. The whole "I ruined your life" logic was ridiculous because Dani doesn't remotely act like her children ruined her life. Struggle hard as they can, but the writers just cannot sell Andre and Ashley as a couple. If anything I think their best laid plans have failed and that Dani and Andre have developed much better. Leslie called Ted her man and Tomas Eva's man, which is totally delusional. Tomas is such a loser that she shouldn't even want him for Eva, but of course she wants to fight the Duprees at every turn. Vanessa is so pathetic. She's ready to go all in for Joey and doesn't even realize he tried to pull her son into his criminal activity. It would be really over the top, but it's starting to look like this story might turn out to be Joey trying to steal Doug's entire life, children included.
  18. Too low key of a character for Kassie to play.
  19. It would be better if the writing had Leslie being angry with Tomas for playing games with Eva as opposed to trying to run interference for a relationship. Hayley definitely needs to crash out or start scheming.
  20. Hayley is one of those women who is going to blame another woman for her husband being out of line.
  21. Bill is becoming obsessed. Putting a tail on Andre is insane. I really enjoyed seeing Hayley crash out and make a fool of herself. She was expecting to catch Bill in the act, but all she did was let Dani see how insecure she is in her marriage.
  22. I need to talk about how good Andre's "hubby time" thirst trap was.
  23. Martin was controlling when he didn't want Smitty working, but I don't think he was ever really emotionally abusive. Smitty on the other hand was a little emotionally abusive with his "I'll sleep with you but not forgive you" stunt.
  24. Kat said last week she didn't want Eva to win so that is still part of her logic. She is playing herself. Plus. I think Tomas likes that she is a Dupree and what that can do for him more than he "loves" her. Instead of constantly chastising Dani, Nicole needs to use some of her energy to read Tomas.
  25. So Carlton was waiting around for Ted's marriage to blow up so he could have his chance. What a jerk. Eva made a complete fool of herself by taking Leslie's advice, but Kat's not respecting herself any better. Having sex in a closet in public with a man that slept with your sister is pretty pathetic. Joey is setting Marcel up. But I suspect that Marcel might have some insurance to save himself.
