  1. Truth lol. I’ve become fond of reading soapsspoilers.com for their day ahead Y&R Canadian recaps as for just being straight to the point with their recaps & spoilers (while so many other sites throw in speculation to their recaps and spoilers to the point of it being false) but there’s sometimes so much click bait dreck to scroll through.
  2. What eventually happened was in the spring of 2004, right at the start of the Kriezman/Wheeler era was beginning CBS began offering an 10AM ET/9AM CT live feed for stations airing it 10AM so they wouldn’t be a day behind anymore. In addition to that CBS also actually offered up a 9AMET feed to a few stations that were airing the show at 9AM ET. Pretty all of the major CBS O&O in the top markets, especially in the northeast (NYC, Boston, Philadelphia, Detroit, Pittsburgh, along with Miami, Orlando) ended up airing GL at 10AMET with Chicago airing GL at 9AM CT. Some stations in adjacent markets followed suite (Albany, Scranton-Wilkes Barre, etc.) A couple of west coast CBS O&O’s (KCBS and KCNC) did GL at 9AM as well for a while there in the late 90’s but both stations soon moved it back to its original afternoon timeslot. The kicker was when CBS bought KOVR, which had never aired GL since becoming a CBS station a decade before, as an O&O in 2005 they never added GL back to the schedule. At least in one Michigan market the local UPN/ My Network picked up the show after the CBS affiliate dropped it. I do remember Day & Date, I was living in Idaho at the time it aired on the local ABC station at 4PM against Oprah on the NBC station while my CBS station had a very strange lineup (when I lived out west I never lived in a market which carried the CBS Daytime line up in the correct order!) Now that I mentioned it, this was how each station had their line-up: KMGH in Denver (now an ABC affiliate): 10AM: B&B 10:30 TPIR 11:30 News 12:00 Y&R 1:00 ATWT 2:00 GL (KMGH later aired the ABC lineup out of order with GH on before OLTL) KMVT in Twin Falls ID 1995-97: 9AM: TPIR 11:30 B&B 1:00 GL 2:00 Y&R 3:00 ATWT KRQE in Albuquerque’s 3 line-ups when I live there 1997-2011: 9AM: TPIR 10AM: ATWT (day behind) 1:30PM B&B 2:00PM GL 3:00PM Y&R then 10AM ATWT (day behind) 11AM TPIR 1230 B&B 1:00 Y&R 2:00 GL and Finally 10:00 LMAD 11:00 TPIR 1230 B&B 1:00 Y&R 2:00 ATWT(same day)/The Talk
  3. Thanks @janea4old for the corrections! The site I pulled that off I was so bombarded with ads on my iPhone I didn’t know what was what TBH lol.
  4. Monday’s 9/4 episode will be a repeat of the 3/24 (50th anniversary episode) episode.
  5. Apparently it sounds like Monday’s episode is going be a repeat from last November’s Hope For the Future fashion show.
  6. As for B&B I like there was no mention of Liam however it sounds like he’s mentioned being on the sidelines in SOD awaiting for Steffy’s return 🙄
  7. I had thought about that fact but it wouldn’t be the first time the show muddled it’s own continuity for some secret. I can see the show saying Li had her own affair, got miraculously pregnant but decent to hide it and give the baby up and lie/coverup about the whole ordeal. This causes Finn to call Li a terrible person and he seeks comfort from Sheila or some nonsense like that. 😂 I thinking she won’t make November sweeps.
  8. Li’s secret daughter…?
  9. First up is Y&R: Next up is B&B:
  10. LOL!!! I only watched today for the SINN scenes I completely FF’d through any of the Eric/RJ scenes. Ridge and Carter invading Deacon’s privacy was idiotic and pointless too as Deacon pointed lol. The whole Sheila thing has been dragged out but hey Sheila would be the show’s new anti-heroine (or heroine) in my eyes if she took out BOTH Ridge & Liam at the same time. Meant to comment earlier on this but Thomas making Liam cry calling him a fool to reject Hope on Monday was hilarious. LOL!!! I feel like this story if it needed had been told should’ve happened like 15-20 years ago when it would’ve had more dramatic impact if it had been needed to be told back then, especially if Eric had collaborated with Thorne, Sally 1.0, or CJ in secret or even Donna at the height of “Honey Bear”.
  11. RIP Arleen, 67 is way too young these days I just adored her as Calliope, such a fun character that daytime doesn’t do anymore at all. I was a bit disappointed that her 2006 return wasted her, but enjoyed that 2010 return where she was on the run with Anna—Hurley and Sorkin played that perfectly.
  12. RIP Bob another daytime and TV legend gone. Loved him when I was younger, but…. …after I watched that E True Hollywood Story about TPIR alongside with the high profile lawsuits being splashed all over the tabloids at the time, coupled with his alleged retaliation towards Roddy made it hard to watch TPIR for myself until Drew took over. A shame as he really was a TV icon.
  13. I like Mariah and Tessa, but I agree they aren’t leads and I also don’t like they are always given such somber storylines, and here we go again with Aria’s deafness. It doesn’t utilize Grimes’ talents properly and while Cait has grown on me Tessa is always so weepy. Sigh to also wasting MG’s talents as Adam…there’s nothing new here to see.
  14. Thank you as well @kalbir for sharing that 60 Minutes interview. Funny you mentioned the Friends episode. Some of my favorite MSW episodes deal with murder on a TV show lol along with the commentary. it was pretty obvious to me that the dying soap opera Jessica’s niece was on in “Murder in the Afternoon” was a stand-in for Search For Tomorrow while in “Murder According to Maggie” was obviously written by someone who hated Miami Vice & Top Cops and was also irate by The Equalizer’s cancellation. As for the move to Thursday nights I will say it disappoints me there wasn’t enough of a loyal audience that moved along with it so it could’ve backfired on Moonves. Oddly a year later when Diagnosis Murder got shuffled to Thursday nights it actually cracked into the. Top 30 up for a couple seasons there. Personally I enjoyed the pre-Corymore era I grew up with the late 80’s a lot more than anything post-1992. With the turn of the decade my family just stopped watching the show. No particular reason why myself and my siblings had other things going usually on Sunday nights and my parents had become addicted to Nick at Nite reruns instead lol. I think the last live MSW episode I caught was around 93/94 or so when Jessica was kidnapped in the middle of her book signing in Miami by Cuban/Russian smugglers and was locked in a car trunk. It was pretty campy bad. I didn’t see most of the 90’s eps til a few years later when they ran on A&E.
  15. That was my first thought too although after the way this show treated Beth Logan years ago I really never want to see B&B attempt such a story again since the last one was so botched and terribly unrealistic.
  16. Whoever wrote that weird dialogue about Eric and his stapler in today’s 8/24 show needs to be dismissed lol.
  17. Thank you for clarifying @boldau and @Slutty Shauna Fan the Australia situation. It appears I was misled in one of the FB groups I’m in that people in Australia had abandoned the show in droves. Maybe they meant people were just disappointed by recent stories idk. It’s hard not to watch a total train wreck sometimes lol.
  18. Yeah it happened during Coleman’s time as Teri/Annie, and Frank didn’t know she was Annie when they had their make out session but later had to fess up during Annie’s trial (the one with Johnny Cochran as her lawyer) in front of all of Springfield. Eleni left town shortly afterward. But yeah Rozell just didn’t work as Eleni at all and the show just stopped writing for Eleni altogether even she had been front burner during Melina’s time.
  19. Liam is such a loser… With B&B downtrending in ratings and a coupled along with a recent complete ratings collapse in Australia you have to wonder if Thudley and Minnis actually care about this show anymore or just waiting to be cancelled by CBS next year.
  20. I have the sinking feeling the show is angling for a some strange oddball Sharon/Chance/Summer triangle, which is completely unnecessary. Also apparently Chelsea leaves Geona City with Connor on Monday and it sounds like she’s not coming back anytime soon say she can work virtually while gone……I’m guessing @lucaslesann23 this is MCE’s maternity leave exit but it also sounds so permanent at the same time.
  21. Re: Charlie & Co on CBS. Wow I don’t remember this at all: ”Chicago’s south side was the setting for this domestic comedy which was CBS’s answer to, and which many critics accused of being a poor man’s version of NBC’s The Cosby Show. Variety show legend Flip Wilson starred Charlie Richmond, an administrative assistant with the Chicago Department of Highways. He and his wife, Diana, played by the legendary Gladys Knignt, who was a eloquent schoolteacher had three outspoken children in Junior (Kristoff St. John), Lauren (Fran Robinson), and Robert (Jaleel White). Since none of them were afflicted with shyness life at home, particularly at meals, was a verbal free for all. Walter Simpson (Ray Girardin) was Charlie’s boss, and Biberman (Richard Karron), Sandler (Kip King), Coyle (Terry McGovern), and Miguel (Eddie Velez) were his co-workers. Early in 1986, Diana’s favorite sarcastic Aunt Rachel (Della Reese), not one of Charlie’s favorite people, turned up, adding to the already contentious atmosphere in Charlie’s home”. The show, which ended up #68 in the ratings for the 85-86 season initially aired at in the 9:00ET/8:00 CT on Wednesday nights against #7 Dynasty before being to Tuesday nights against #17 Growning Pains. Was the show any good? Sounds like a lot of talent sorry it just didn’t work out. Seems CBS tried really hard to have a Wednesday night comedy block and a drama but failed miserably. Sitcoms Stir Crazy, Foley Square, and the Mary Tyler Moore sitcom Mary all failed and flopped against Highway to Heaven. CBS later moved the once successful Crazy Like a Fox to Wednesday nights and it bombed. Only the Equalizer survived, and it was #63 compared to time-slot rivals #22 Hotel and #53 St. Elsewhere.

  23. Amen!!! On the subject of Audra believe it or not next month is her one year anniversary on the show so she’s basically surpassed both Mia and Juliet yet Audra’s backstory still remains shrouded in mystery. Worse is I still can’t imagine Rory Gibson’s dopey depressing Noah was ever supposed to have been involved with Audra let alone she was pregnant.
  24. I never really had any issue with FD as Frank or Frank as character for the most part myself either. As @DRW50 mentioned FD worked fine as a support role. Obviously the best was FD with Melina’s Eleni. But once we got to Frank and Rozell’s Eleni…major snooze and the show just stopped writing for them. Frank having an affair with Annie Dutton was intriguing but then It just collapsed and nothing further occurred outside of Frank dumping Eleni. I do appreciate the later efforts to actually give Frank a love life with Darci, Olivia, and Blake because Frank was literally given nothing to do and was always written off a boring character. I have to agree to some extent lol. I first saw Josh Taylor on The Hogan Family lol before his Y&R role and GL work. Obviously he was a competent actor at the time but everything with his stint as Roman has just backfired lol minus some chemistry with Leanna Hurley the show didn’t bother to explore.
  25. The pacing is terrible and the drama is absent because apparently on Monday
