My god the smirking was back in full force today. He almost started smiling after Johnny mentioned he wouldn’t be there if EJ hadn’t raped Sami. I will say I did like seeing him with Dee as they’ve always had great chemistry. They really are giving a lot of false hope with John getting better. I wish they hadn’t done that. Monday is going to be devastating. I really liked all the characters mixing and mingling today. Nu-Rachel is still too sweet for me. Loved all the flashbacks. Everyone looked so young. Really enjoyed Brady’s scenes with John today.

I actually seemed to lose interest in the show when the twist was no longer Damian as the head.

Belle is ridiculous dating the man that tried to kill her dad multiple times. This EJ story just makes Belle look like a damn fool. We’re not supposed to root for them are we? I’m so glad Brady went off.

Dani broke into her home and delusionally kept saying she made up her baby. How Hayley is a loser in this situation makes zero sense to me. And then Dani went off to go get drunk. But sure Hayley is the loser.

I honestly stopped watching GH for years and never watched it in the 90’s so the retcons to make this story work don’t bother me like it does long time consistent viewers. The performances in the story have been fantastic to me and as someone who has always loved the Quartermaines, adding a new one is right up my alley. Guza was hell bent on destroying the family but it honestly seems like the GH of today understands their importance and Jane Elliott is AMAZING as the matriarch of the family now.

I was actually cheering Hayley on for once. Dani is beyond pathetic and tiring at this point. I’m so over this weakling that Ted has become. Literally makes no sense not to just show Shanice a picture of Leslie. Literally should’ve been the first thing they did.

Rory Gibson showed more fire and range today as Michael than he ever did as Noah. Color me surprised. He played the dark side perfectly. I do wish it would come out that Drew set it up for Michael and Willow to not speak in Germany, I'm hoping that happens at the custody hearing. Drew literally sickens me.

I preferred the Devil spawn delivery of the previous Rachel. She felt like the perfect child of Kristen DiMera and all the dysfunction she’s been through. The new actress is just a sweet girl.

It’s kind of amazing how awful the Sophia recast is. Under the previous actress, Sophia actually had spunk and lasting appeal. This new actress is so blah, I hope she has the baby and is never seen again. Also since I went back to May 9th, I find it weird Chad wants to date the woman he couldn’t even tell wasn’t his late wife despite a completely different voice and height 🤦🏽‍♂️

Today has been another great one. This has to be some of the best work of Dee’s career. Hate the circumstances but it’s so believable because I’m sure a lot of it isn’t really acting. It’s wonderful. Christie Clark came back in like she never left. I had assumed John raised Carrie in the RoJohn days since he was taking care of Sami and Eric. The flashback to young Carrie and John telling Carrie Marlena died was great. Carrie and Marlena scenes were excellent and so emotional. Marlena telling Carrie she’s her daughter and she’s John’s daughter 😭😭 “You will always be our daughter.” John grabbing Carrie’s hand 😭😭 I don’t hate Stacy, but the John of it all needs Eileen. Rachel doesn’t feel like a demon spawn anymore boooo. Really wish we could’ve seen Kate visit John. They were once a couple, but ontop of that had been friends and business partners throughout the years. Mumbles Taylor is just getting harder and harder to understand. Omg a flashback to the penthouse. What an incredible set. Really enjoyed the Abe and John scenes as well. Drake truly was so charismatic and committed to the material for his entire tenure on the show. I don’t care what anyone thought of his talent. His dedication and charisma and charm was exactly what the character of John needed.

That’s why I mentioned another bar.

Today was the Dani I can’t stand. She had been doing so good for a few weeks here.

We desperately need another restaurant in town for the characters. And maybe a coffee shop too or at least another bar. Everyone only eating at Orphy Genes or the country club has gotten extremely old.

But she literally pointed out her family two seconds later when they were outside.

I missed Sunday and really only want to watch to see Brit fail again.

We’re not even 6 months in of the next 4 years yet 🤦🏽‍♂️

That was so surprising to me today. I didn’t see any spoilers that this was coming up so I loved it!

Why did Ari call the Brady Pub one of her family’s favorite places when literally it’s her family’s establishment. Her great grandpa Roman literally runs it. Also it’s a little creepy that D3 is only interested in high school chicks when I’m sure he’s in his 20’s at this point, at least legal age. Javi’s nipples could’ve cut glass when he got back to the Hernandez home. I liked all of John’s grand and great grands learning of the news in this episode as their stories were going on. Would’ve liked to actually see the scenes with them by John’s bedside.

Here’s the thing, when I see a new actor that’s trying I give them much more leeway. But when you have zero expressions or emotion in your voice, there is zero leeway. Maybe it’s my acting background from college, but I feel like if you’re hired for an acting gig, simply learning the lines is not good enough.
