I was shocked we got Danielle so soon, especially since they made her a friend of. I guess they figured with 12 episodes, they don’t really have the time to drag everything out. Which I’m actually cool with. Very few of HW shows are actually interesting from ep 1-20. We end up with a lot of filler from people we don’t like, so this should cut down on that.

I like the new girl Margaret and I hate Siggy. I thought she was extra last season , but this season she’s turned it up times ten.

Yes! I don't ever remember Tre and Danielle being friends. Not even on the first season. So them feigning like they fell out and became friends "again" was crazy to me last night watching. Jaq was the only person in s1 of NJ that tried with Danielle. Correct me if I am wrong, wasn't Tre up Dina and Caroline's a** most of s1?

It was OK. Seeing as I know you were a big NJ, I think you should check it out. You might like it. Tre's scenes with her family were the only endearing thing about the episode along with Danielle's long awaited return. Everything else was meh. 

 

From what I'm hearing on other forums is that this season is only gonna be 12 episodes long, which might be a good thing for the show. Shorter season, tighter episodes/stories. They might be able to rebuild their audience with this season.

@Nothin'ButAttitude I don’t even know why those two even try to pretend they can be friends. They’ve hated each other far longer than they ever actually got along on the show.

Whaaat in the world is going on this season?! Atlanta is literally the best at drumming up interest before the show airs. What else is gonna go down or come out in the next 4 weeks.

Agreed on the friendships of the NYC and BH ladies. Even yesterday, LuAnn and Jill posted an instagram photo together, just hanging out as "besties".  Meanwhile, from the quarreling of Beverly Hills' first season bore a genuine friendship between Kyle and Camille. 

She has literally become a caricature of what made her pop in the beginning which is sad. I will say she still occasionally can be funny when it’s a genuine moment during a scene, but I have zero use for any of the Atlanta ladies talking heads. The same goes for Quad on M2M.

I've been said the primary reason Kim came back to RHOA was b/c she wanted raise and couldn't get it with a 30 minute show and no ad dollars being bought. How would she generate more ad dollars? More viewers. How would she get them? Return back to the A show (RHOA), fight with Kenya (the primary villain), and hopefully drag new viewers back to her spinoff. I don't see it working for her at all b/c people still remember Kim declaring time and time again that she was above show and these women. Reality TV show fans are too privy to the antics now to fall for Kim's stunt. 

 

I feel like building a season partially on Kim's return might be to the detriment of RHOA. Might p*ss enough people off to be over the main show. I feel like Bravo is playing a dangerous game right now. 

It also doesn’t help that her show starts a month before Atlanta. Any momentum her appearances could cause for Don’t Be Tardy, will be long gone by the time RHOA officially starts up.

I think Shamea is only being blocked b/c of Nene. There were rumors that those clashed early on in the season, and Nene made production choose either her or Shamea. I'm hoping Shamea is smoothing things over with Nene over in Barcelona, but folks on Twitter are already claiming that it is Sheree/Porsha/Shamea v. Nene/Cynthia/Marlo/Eva. Pretty sure Kandi will be neutral as always. 

 

And Marlo won't be a housewife (too) b/c of what you pointed out. Also, unlike Kenya, Marlo thirsts for the camera. She'll do too much to ensure she out shines everyone including Nene. At least Kenya knows when to act up and when to sit back and watch. 

 

I don't see Eva delivering at all. If this was old school Eva like during her ANTM days, I'd say yes. She's mellowed out a lot since. I can see her turning up a bit for a peach, but I don't see her going Marlo levels of thirsty. 

 

IMO, they should've just given Eva and Shamea a peach from the start, and given Kim's "official friend of housewives" to Marlo. The cast should've been the current 6 + Shamea & Eva. It is gonna be so jarring seeing all these women pop up out the blue at the 11th hour. This is some LHH/Mona Scott type of mess. 

 

Nawl. Miami had all their ducks in a row in s2, and Alexia was only supporting b/c of the accident with her son. Otherwise, I think she would've held a mojito that season too. 

 

Like I said to @Chris B, this is some Love & Hip Hop mess where they pull all these nobodies out at the 11th hour to see who sticks. It's gonna wreak of desperation come time for the Barcelona episodes b/c it'll be obvious they are bringing all these women out to try and replace Kenya. It'll be obvious too when they turn up b/c we'll all know they are doing it to land a peach in s11. 

 

This is why they should cast women from jump and stick to it. All this last casting has hurt ATL, OC, and BH too (as they are known for doing it too) when it comes to drama. 

 

Gotta give props to the production companies that cast for Dallas, Potomac, and NY. They make their casts official from jump and stick with it throughout. They don't pull out all these B players mid-season. That's why all 3 of those shows have had successful, fun recent seasons.

The only time New York has done it was back in season 3 with Sonja and that Jennifer woman, but they made Sonja official and stuck by it.

Whatever it is they’re doing a good job drumming up interest in the new season with a month left until the premiere.

And I just want to say that this thread over the past 20 hours has literally been 1000 times more exciting than OC, BH or NY combined this year. Atlanta always brings the drama -- both on and off screen.

It’s funny you say that as Atlanta is probably my least favorite alongside New Jersey. I’ve already mentioned why I don’t like Jersey but with Atlanta the show has fallen so far for me from what made it interesting to begin with. They probably have the most annoying talking heads as you can tell all of their “reads” and “shade” have been rehearsed like thirty times, it reminds me of Bethenny.

Not to mention the friendships don’t come across as genuine in the least. I actually believe the NYC girls hang out outside of filming. I actually believe some of the BH and OC girls hang out outside of the show. Atlanta is truly the cast of coworkers.

My partner interviewed Saniyah last night so I got to spend some time with her. She's awesome.

My partner felt like we were getting so much Lea Black on Flipping Out this season as a bit of a test run for bringing her back into the Bravo orbit.

I think NJ is the only one that isn't safe and they have no one to blame but themselves for letting that stupid rivalry run the show for YEARS. I didn't even see the season with the twins because the show ran me off.

I would like to slap whatever producer convinced Quad she was the star of the show. She would be NOTHING without Mariah and it's such bullshit Mariah keeps getting the shaft. Has any show ever had a truly consistent friend of for multiple seasons? Usually you either get your main cast spot or they let you go. Yeah, it bugs me that this is no longer a true ensemble. Plus all the other women have to kiss up to Bethenny in order to keep their job.

 

 

The only plus is the producers of NYC forced them all to film together no matter what this season. Which is what OC should've been doing much sooner than this week's episode.

I have a feeling they arranged the lineup according to dress color/length combinations, with perhaps only Nene contractually insisting on that center spot. I know she's been away a couple of seasons and doesn't really deserve it, but Bethenny on NYC was away too and, if I recall correctly, immediately got center space in a lot of the cast lineups when she came back.

Bethenny STILL gets the center. It's essentially Bethenny Frankel's RHONYC.

Nene's wigs are not great, but the pulled back ponytail is probably her best look in some time -- ever since she decided to 'grow' her hair longer, which imo does not suit her. Speaking of wigs, Kandi was sporting a hella dodgy Cleopatra one which has more than a whiff of Mama Joyce about it.

 

I see Papa Smurf is back -- silly me for thinking last season would be the last we saw of his money-grubbing ass!

 

This season looks lit -- better than it has in a while. I would drop Porsha and Sheree though; I don't find them interesting anymore.

 

 

I think yesterday's episode might be the one that seals Shannon's fate tbh. She literally blocked any kind of SL movement on this show, and she will prob take the blame for the falling ratings.

Shannon let her crazy flag fly way too proudly in that episode and showed she is actively keeping the show from moving forward at all. Let's hope this is her last or they force her to fall in line. The Cancer crap is old and boring now. Her need to blame Vicki for any and every hardship she's ever had is ridiculous. You don't want to see or be effected by this woman anymore?
