Seeing daughter/father Gwen and Jack looking longingly into each other’s eyes on DAYS today made me think: which other characters throughout have had “inappropriate” or “unintended” sexual chemistry? For example, brother/sister pairs that looked like they wanted to jump each other’s bones.

IMO he’s gotten very little to work with. Even though he’s billed as this Big Bad that everyone is afraid of or intimidated by, I don’t really see it when he’s on screen.

Re: this actress playing Tara. Bill Bell and the production teams of his era would have used her red-rimmed eyes and depressive nature to poignant effect, but on this flat, two-dimensionally produced show, she just feels sorta wan and forgettable. Jabot needs players with more gravitas than Kyle and Summer with Jack as a babysitter. It’s always nice to see Tricia Cast, but how they’re using Nina is a bummer.

Karla is just a temp, so of course hasn’t had time to embody the character, but it just emphasized to me how much Mishael’s charisma and emotional clarity bring really flat, dull dialogue to life. She is a rare talent.

Final numbers for the Oscars were 2.1 in the demo and 10.4 million total viewers. Surprisingly the higher quarter-hour was 2.3 and the lowest was a 2.0, so the viewership was relatively stable in spite of the poorly received ceremony. Just not that many people were watching in the first place!

If Candiace were smart, she’d a) take an anger-management course and b) be on her knees begging Karen and Ashley for forgiveness.
