Villain is one thing, but why a serial killer? You can’t really come back from that. One you go there, you have to commit, and that character either has to die or go to jail. You can’t call an “oopsie” and make him a romantic hero.

He doesn’t have to care. The media and his fans will fete him (in spite of no results to speak of), and he’ll continue to make bank.

I tend to be anti-recast when you have an original performer in a role for years and years and years. Except for when I feel like someone is checked out, like Stafford, Kelly Monaco, Michael O’Leary, or Missy. (I’d actually add Matt Ashford to that list, which pains me, because I once loved him. He seems tired.) But I can understand why people are invested in MR. For me, Cady just lit a fire under Jennifer, similar to how Gina Tognoni revitalized Phyllis.

They definitely have chemistry. It’s a shame it’s been wasted on such insulting garbage. Soaps back themselves in corners when they don’t need to.

He won’t go deep in many tournaments with that attitude. That and his mediocre fitness level.

This is why I think they’ve botched it. They should have had Sally in Nick’s orbit a LOT sooner to be see if there’s a there there. We should have had MANY scenes of them together by now, instead of a handful. Casual chats at the Grand Phoenix. Anything. Because everything is right there to tell the story of an affair except for the most important thing, the connection, which, at this point, would take time to build. It may not even be worth it.

Gigi Bermingham (who’s the recast for Hayden’s mom) reminds me of a toned-down Robin Strasser.

If you’re a black male under 30, even if the actor is gorgeous and the character is tied to core families, you exist only as a barely used, one-dimensional prop with no POV. (And if you’re over 30, like Carter, Justin, Sean, Devon, Nate, or Eli, you’re not doing much better. Carter has a “hot story” on paper, but in reality it’s flimsy. And at least Curtis on GH has a love triangle, but he’s a C-stringer at best.)

Ben’s smile while driving that car was creepy af. If they are aiming for romantic, they are missing the mark by quite a bit. Theo is always an afterthought. I thought DF was a bit shouty but good. There’s zero connection between him and Alison Sweeney, though, even though I think they both gave that scene their all.

So Sally has lost Jack and Lauren for good; she’s vowed revenge once again to Phyllis; we saw Nick annoyed that Phyllis left the Grand Phoenix with Jack… …they HAVE to be setting up a Sally/Nick affair, right? They’d be insane not to be. And Sally should go work for Adam (which would mean she’d be working with Nick, which would annoy Phyllis to no end). And I hear
