That was the last episode I watched too. Actually the last episode of any soap I’ve watched. I dunno. Just sad.

I was actually coming to post this. Very tragic. “Found dead in his U.S. apartment.” Even stateside, I remember how big that season of Pop Idol was, with Will Young winning.

This is so shameful and embarrassing (but not that surprising) from Y&R. Glad I no longer watch.

Totally fine with it being contrived. I just thought the finale was a low-energy, repetitive snoozefest, which is a shame because the rest of the season was fun enough due to the high talent level. (The RPDR finales are never good, but this disappointed me because these are the Avengers of Drag Race.) Give us a real showcase for everyone’s talents, not just the vogue queens. And if they are going to do a lip-sync smackdown, at least vary the styles of the songs a bit more.

One big problem is that all the lip syncs, aside from “Push It,” were dancey pop-diva numbers that favor the glamour queens. Very same-y. There was nothing quirky and eccentric like the Yma Sumac song that Jinkx killed it with up against Detox: Re: overexposure: I definitely get the sense that RuPaul is cashing in while he still can, while drag is hot. The old girl still looks great in drag, but he’s not getting any younger. Too bad that he may damage his legacy.

Agreed. My problem with Stafford is she still has by far her best chemistry with Bergman, but they burned through so much story with Jack and Phyllis that they are hard to take seriously. On this canvas, she doesn’t have another potential pairing on that level. I wonder if they’ll eventually throw TSJ at her to see if he sticks.

I listen to the radio so rarely, but was out and about and the top 40 stations are playing RUTH between Harry Styles and Lizzo like Kate’s some hot new contemporary star, which is surreal. But they absolutely butchered the song for the radio edit, cutting a verse and part of the bridge. So it’s bittersweet.

Yeah, that stood out to me too.
