  1. From what I understand, Mr. Peepers' wedding was like the equivalent of Joe and Rhoda's wedding. It was a HUGE event that people stayed home to watch. I had no idea she appeared on ATWT, though. RIP.
  2. LOL! He sure does LOOK like John Gibson. And I know his IMDb profile says he was on OLTL in '83. But I can't be sure.
  3. "Guess who's getting married, Madge?" "Somebody asked for this hand?" Why, you catty b***h!
  4. What else can you say? Hate breeds only more hate. I wonder how involved the right and far right are in these allegations against Keith Ellison. It seems like they've been working hard lately -- practically since the beginning of the #MeToo movement -- to target those on the left for bad behavior. Unfortunately, the left isn't finished yet with playing the victim to realize what the other side is actually doing.
  5. Wasn't Hal Short part of some drug-smuggling plot? Something to do with drugs being passed off as laundry soap, I think? I always thought the "laundry soap twist" was fiendishly clever, lol.
  6. And that's really sad when you think about how she was when she first arrived. But I guess that was an issue for TD: no matter who was HW'ing at the moment, they never seemed to know what to do with a character who wasn't nucking futs.

Is that a music video or a screen saver set to music? I wish Cher would release an all-new album of pop standards someday. Just her royal Cherness and an orchestra, or maybe a small jazz combo, singing a bunch of tried-and-true songs about love lost, love found, and love denied. Call me crazy, but I think she would kill it.
  8. I think DHP was asked awhile ago about the possibility of reprising Niles, either for a "Frasier" revival or a series of his own, and he said no. But does that mean he wouldn't be up for a guest appearance or two? We'll have to wait and see. I agree that it will have to come down to the supporting cast, and whether the premise is something that can sustain itself for more than a few episodes. I also agreed with Grammer when he said he didn't want to go back to Frasier's old apartment in Seattle and pretend like nothing has changed. It's been, what, fourteen years since we've seen him? He shouldn't be in the same place he was at the end of "Frasier," either geographically or psychologically, or else it'll be really depressing to watch. I still think having him teach at a university -- perhaps, the University of Chicago? -- would be the next, logical step for Frasier. Continuing with his radio show, even in podcast form, would feel redundant to me.
  9. I think even "white supremacy" is too nice of a term. It's racism. Pure and simple.
  10. Oh, no. James Wolk.
  11. Agree. Agree with THIS as well.
  12. I remember (vaguely) rumors about Gus being Alan and Rita's son. Thank GOD they never went THERE. (Although, making him the product of Alan's affair with some random nun was just as bad.)
  13. Agree.
  14. Let's just thank God for Will Munson's poisoned mouthwash. Looking at the list of "actors" who played Chris, I struggle to name one whom I liked even a little bit. That role was never cast properly, or written properly. Holroyd was let go for two reasons: they wanted Roger Howarth, and they wanted to take Paul in a different, darker direction (which they didn't believe Holroyd could do convincingly). And as for the ATWT/Y&R crossover, I'm convinced the network came up with that idea strictly as a way to cross-promote the two shows (a move borrowed from the Angela Shapiro era of ABC Daytime) and to shake up their stodgy, conservative images. There's really no explanation for getting Alison and Amber involved in drugs, prostitution and online sex tapes.
  15. I think I read somewhere that he passed away.
  16. That man is trash.
  17. Good for her. I hope it cuts through the others and succeeds.
  18. For Marj, I would have created the character of Miss Martha's sister, and Billy, Josh and Trish's aunt. I might have even named her "Mary," since Martha seems like such a biblical name to me.
  19. I hope the authorities 1) get security detail for Stelter and Lemon and 2) track down "Don" and monitor his activities very, very closely.
  20. I don't THINK so, but I was watching so infrequently by that point, I might have missed it.
  21. Well, it's tough to deal with the ramifications of something you can't explain the rationale for in the first place. Why did Phillip become so unhinged before he was "murdered"? There's never been a satisfactory answer (aside, of course, from GA's contract coming up, and David Kreizman's "Spauldings BAD, Coopers GOOD" line of thinking that characterizes his time as HW). Phillip's return was decent, but as with much that was good about GL at the end, the credit belongs to Jill Lorie Hurst, who was finally promoted to HW or Co-HW, and who seemed to have a more nuanced view of the show than Kreizman.
  22. I will never understand why Tori keeps having babies with that loser, let alone stays married to him. Is her self-worth that anemic?
  23. I really did reach a point where I began praying for this show to end. I couldn't even feel sad anymore about the possibility of GL never returning. To me, cancellation at that point would have been more like a mercy killing, plain and simple.
  24. That's not what the show thought! Paul Korver's ultimate dismissal from ATWT is a good example of what happens a series hires a "hair model." If you hire someone on looks alone, don't be upset if that's all they can bring to the table.
