  1. A lie is a lie is a lie. But how fitting is it for someone who works for the glorified alt-right organization that is the Trump "administration" to call her lies WHITE lies?
  2. Poor Heather. I'm not a fan of hers, but I don't like seeing anyone spin out of control.
  3. Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise AND Hertz? Well, [!@#$%^&*]. How are they gonna transport their guns across state lines NOW??
  4. I hope so, too. Like I said, I don't know whether Trump himself was personally involved, but the further up the chain Mueller goes, the more isolated (and essentially toothless) he will become. Either way, I think we can say now, officially, that his is an illegitimate presidency.
  5. Trump might not have been DIRECTLY involved in the Russian's meddling (which we all knew already); more and more, though, it's looking like what we had suspected all along -- namely, that Trump could NOT have won without SOME interference from an outside party. And I'll bet that is just eating him alive, lol. Oh, well. Lie down with dogs, we all gotta go SOME time, etc.
  6. See what I mean? Two stories, with a crazy person in both. The Pollocks really didn't know how to write any other kind of story.
  7. Unlikeable and, IMO, non-relatable. Nothing that any of these characters is doing makes any sense to me whatsoever. I just feel like the Pollocks see them as little more than chess pieces.
  8. Susan Lucci is a Republican. However, she's also a mother and grandmother; and IMO, anyone who is a parent and/or grandparent canNOT just sit back on this and say, "Oh, well." People are always crying, "What about the children?" Well, for once, let's actually DO something to protect those children. Because, at this point, this is about more than some frigging amendment to the Constitution. This is about ensuring our children are kept safe in their classrooms. Point. Blank. Period.
  9. True. And I'm not saying that I mind the glacial and repetitive nature of the Pollocks' storytelling (although I'm certain that other writers from that period -- Bell, Nixon, Lemay, etc. -- did a much finer job of making scenes FEEL not so repetitive) or that the Pollocks didn't know how to pay off any of their stories. It just seems as if the Pollocks knew how to tell only one KIND of story, and that they had no idea how to write for any character who wasn't crazy, mean-spirited, or annoying.
  10. Well, I, for one, will be glad when the Pollocks' material will have concluded. Every time I've tried to get into their stuff, someone was always losing their grip on sanity and/or plotting to destroy someone else's career/marriage/family/whatever. Plus, I can't believe their sheer laziness in having not one but TWO back-from-the-dead stories occurring simultaneously, with baby drama at the center of both. And I STILL don't know what the hell Steve and Carolee are fighting about. All I know is that their arguments over Karen and Erich feel so plot-motivated that it's maddening; and I'm seriously at the point where I'm advocating for Erich to get hit by a car and die, so that we can wrap up this [!@#$%^&*], Karen can lose her mind and try to kill Steve and/or Carolee out of anger (before dying in some ridiculous nonsense like Greta's rabbit bite), and then move onto the next big "psycho on the loose" plot. At the very least, the Pollocks could have had Mike and Karen bonding over their similar circumstances, and maybe have various characters commenting on the absurdity of it all. (I mean, really, TWO back-from-the-dead stories??). Alas...sigh...I miss Rita Lakin's writing for this show. I really do.
  11. I have never been so proud to be a Susan Lucci fan.
  12. No matter what happens next, I remain so very proud of what these students (and others) are accomplishing tonight; and I PRAY the next generation proves me wrong and actually foments change -- not just in gun control reform, but all across the board. We let them down, but God willing, they'll clean up our messes.
  13. And not a moment too soon. It's really a shame how the Russians used so many of us through people like Bernie and Jill. But, in a way, I guess we had it coming.
  14. So, she voted for Trump because she "wanted to shake up the status quo"? Am I reading that right? Well, if THAT was her intent, then why didn't she vote for Gary Johnson or Jill Stein? Hell, why didn't she do a write-in for some other person? Why Trump? You wanna shake things up, fine, but don't do it with someone who represents the very attitudes about the white male patriarchy that you've supposedly been fighting against all your life. It makes you look like a damn hypocrite.
  15. You know, maybe Obama SHOULD have come for our guns. IJS.
  16. I ain't gonna waste my hatred on the man, because he ain't WORTH it. I'm just gonna dust him off my shoulder and carry on.
  17. times -- oh, I don't know -- let's go with a thousand.
  18. Yup. Frankly, I'm surprised TrumpCo. didn't think up this strategy on their own.
  19. I'd love to know about the Valley Inn as well, because all I can recall from my '80's memories are the Chateau (which DID survive into the '90's, IIRC), the Goalpost (which I think became Tom's health club?), McKay's, the Steam Pit, the Glamorama, Nexxus, and Foxy's.
  20. Erin Moran (or more appropriately, her spirit) must be LOVING this.
  21. Per TVLine: Jeffrey Tambor Out at "Transparent"
  22. SMDH. Of course, my heart goes out to the victims in yesterday's shootings, as well as to their loved ones and entire communities. But, hell, I'm past the point of thinking that's enough. What good does it do those folks to send love, prayers and everything else their way, when what they really need -- hell, what we ALL really need -- is for Congress to do the damn thing and pass tougher gun control legislation?
  23. BERNICE Sanders? Oh, Carl! The SHADE of it all!
  24. Boom. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/charles-charge-star-alexander-polinsky-accuses-scott-baio-child-abuse-1084747 I'd say, "There goes my enjoyment of 'Charles in Charge'," except, I don't think I've ever enjoyed anything starring Scott Baio.
